Learning His Whereabouts

Meanwhile, following Mr. Kassadin’s instructions, Sonia went to see Loki before returning home.

The moment Sonia returned home, she flopped onto the sofa and nodded.

In truth, having to give instructions and make decisions while so many Void Cult members watched her

left Sonia exhausted—not physically, but mentally.

She had to watch her image, since every word and action of hers represented Mr. Kassadin’s authority.

"You handled it very well. But why did you stop Loki from saying it?"

Harvey did not mind Sonia’s completely unladylike posture as she lay sprawled on the sofa. Instead, he praised her before asking.

"Thank you for the praise, Mr. Kassadin."

"As for why I stopped him, there were many reasons."

"Would you like to hear them?"

Hearing Mr. Kassadin’s words, Sonia sat up straight and asked.

"Of course."

Harvey nodded slightly.

Tony could tell that Sonia had gone easy on Loki. Having spent so much time with her day and night, there was no way he would fail to notice.

Harvey approved of Sonia’s actions, but he did not know why she had done so.

"First, because you said that Asgardians would not be allowed to join the Void Cult at this stage. That meant it might not be entirely impossible in the future."

"As a prince of Asgard, Loki may have seemed arrogant and foolish from our interactions, but one should always leave some room for maneuver."

"Second, because you told me that Loki and Mr. Tony could barely be considered friends."

"I did not understand what you meant by ‘barely’ before, but after seeing Loki’s brother, Mr. Thor, constantly begging Mr. Tony for help,"

"I understood what you meant by ‘barely.’"

"If Loki were killed, it might create a rift between Mr. Tony and Mr. Thor."

"Mr. Tony’s homeland, Earth, is also one of the Nine Realms. If their relationship completely fell apart, it might affect Mr. Tony’s homeland."

Sonia slowly explained her reasons.

"Those two aren’t the main reasons, are they?"

Harvey said after hearing Sonia’s explanation.

"Of course. Those two can only be considered part of the reasons. The main reason is that behind Loki stand God King Odin and Asgard."

"If Loki were killed simply because he said something out of anger after failing to gain your approval,"

"then the Void Cult would seem far too heartless. Killing Loki would indeed vent some anger."

"But killing him would inevitably bring war. Although I know you would not care, Mr. Kassadin, starting a war would bring countless troubles."

"Overall, that would be disadvantageous to the Void Cult."

"Following your will, the Void Cult has already shown goodwill."

"But if we seemed too friendly, Asgard might think the Void Cult was easy to bully."

"Therefore, I made Loki suffer a slight lesson as well."

Sonia said.

Because she knew Mr. Kassadin did not want a war to break out over this either, Sonia had followed that instruction and thought of many ways to make Loki leave.

"Sonia, managing the Void Cult has truly been difficult for you."

After hearing Sonia’s real reasons, Harvey’s eyes flickered as he spoke.

He himself did not have so many concerns regarding Loki. He simply did not want to attract the trouble that was Odin.

So he had directly told Sonia to convey his decision to Loki.

Once Loki learned that he could not receive a blessing, even if he had been unwilling to give up at first, he would stay on Void Island for a while and discover that it was truly futile.

Loki would naturally return obediently.

Yet Sonia had understood his meaning and seemed to have considered many more aspects.

"These are all things I should do."

"Please wait a moment. I’ll go prepare dinner for you now."

Upon hearing Mr. Kassadin say that, Sonia’s eyes curved as a happy smile appeared on her face.

"Not today. I have something to take care of outside."

Seeing Sonia’s smile become even more pure and captivating because she was genuinely happy, Harvey’s gaze flickered as he spoke.

He knew he had to go out and vent the desire burning within him.

"You’re going out?"

"How long will you be gone this time?"

Sonia asked upon hearing that Mr. Kassadin planned to leave.

"I’ll probably be back in a few days. Don’t worry."

After giving her an approximate time, Harvey vanished from the villa.

Seeing Mr. Kassadin leave immediately, Sonia’s eyes flashed with disappointment.

However, she also knew that Mr. Kassadin’s decisions were absolute, and she could not influence them in the slightest.

Besides, he would not be gone for long this time—only a few days.

So Sonia quickly pulled herself together, found herself a pile of food, and used delicious dishes to ease the disappointment in her heart.

However, just as Sonia had finished dinner and was soaking in the bath, she suddenly received a message.

"Your account has spent 300,000 at the Celebrity Hotel. Current balance: 199,700,000."

Because Mr. Kassadin rarely used money, whenever he needed to spend some or had something to do, he would simply instruct her to handle it.

Therefore, Sonia had also helped Harvey set up the personal bank card he casually called his little treasury.

Thus, the notification was sent directly to Sonia’s Universal Communicator.

When Sonia saw the message, she froze for a moment.

She had not expected that Mr. Kassadin’s errand outside meant spending money at the Celebrity Hotel.

The most capable person who had once worked at the Celebrity Hotel was right beside him, yet he had gone out of his way to make a special trip there?

Moreover, Mr. Kassadin seemed unwilling to let her know. Rather than having her entertain him, he had directly paid for a month’s room fee and checked in.

This left Sonia troubled. What exactly was Mr. Kassadin planning to do?

Could he be looking for more reliable people to help share the work on Void Island?

But if that were the case, asking her directly would have been faster. She knew the Celebrity Hotel so well.

As she soaked in the bath, Sonia stared blankly at the notification.

About ten minutes later, Sonia received more than a dozen consecutive messages, all listing another 3,000.

As the former most professional villa manager at the Celebrity Hotel, how could Sonia not know that this meant he was selecting women, then paying replacement fees whenever he was dissatisfied?

"So that’s it. Mr. Kassadin went out to find women."

Seeing those messages, Sonia understood what Mr. Kassadin had gone out to do and spoke thoughtfully.
