Loki Realizes His Mistake
"But ever since I joined the Void, I had truly felt that time would bring me everything I wanted."
"The weakness of my frail original body was erased, and I gained a powerful physique."
"My dream of traveling across the universe was fulfilled as well. I saw a wider world beyond Blue Star."
"That was also why my personality and way of doing things changed."
"Because I had a powerful body, I no longer got tired from doing certain things, and my ability to act became much stronger."
"At the same time, the extension of my lifespan and the growth of my power gave me far more time to do everything I wanted."
"Ideals and dreams were no longer distant, unattainable things. As long as you had time, found a way, and took action, there would come a day when they were realized."
As for why Tony had spoken to Thor and Loki about this—
It was because Thor and Loki, who had naturally long lifespans, might find it difficult to understand how humans were forced to give up one dream after another because of their short lives.
The psychological changes he had undergone after joining the Void might not have been exactly the same among the other Void Cult members, but similar traces could definitely be found in them.
There was no need to say how much weight Kassadin, who had granted them power and brought changes to so many Void Cult members, held in their hearts.
"I understand what you mean."
Thor’s eyes carried a hint of emotion as he listened to Tony’s words.
"I understand too. I’ll watch my words and actions around Void Cult members in the future."
"As long as I don’t involve Kassadin, right?"
Loki was sharper than Thor, so if Thor understood, Loki naturally understood Tony’s meaning as well.
The Void Cult members were a group of powerful people with terrifying potential and intense faith in Kassadin.
As long as he did not provoke Kassadin or insult Kassadin’s reputation, the Void Cult members might not treat him kindly, but at the very least, they would not see him as an enemy.
But once he did that, unless he stayed in Asgard for the rest of his life, only endless pursuit awaited him.
"It’s good that you understand."
"I’ve told you the rules, so this is the last time I’ll help you."
"If you offend a Void Cult member again next time, then you’ll have to fend for yourself."
Seeing that his words had made both Thor and Loki understand, Tony nodded in satisfaction and spoke.
"Alright, the rules have been explained, and you now know a little about the Void Cult."
"Come on, Loki. It’s time for me to send you off Void Island."
Tony then stood up. He did not want Loki to stay for long, lest he bring more trouble upon himself.
"Although my brother already thanked you for me, I think I should thank you personally this time."
"Tony Stark, thank you for saving me…"
Loki knew that Tony did not welcome him, but in the end, he still thanked Tony for his help.
He knew that this time, without properly understanding the situation, he had entered a dragon’s den and tiger’s lair and nearly failed to escape.
Unless absolutely necessary, he would never come to Void Island again.
The moment those words of thanks came out, not only Thor but even Tony looked at Loki in surprise.
Tony had dealt with Loki before. He knew that Loki had a twisted personality and refused to change, having lived for over fifteen hundred years while still acting like someone who had never grown up.
However, Loki had not caused trouble on Blue Star, so Tony had no reason to kill him. At most, he could teach him a lesson. He had never expected Loki to thank him.
Thor also rarely saw Loki truly recognize his own mistakes and thank others.
He had not expected Loki to realize that his actions this time had caused trouble, and Thor’s face immediately broke into a broad smile.
"You don’t need to see me off. I can leave Void Island myself. Until we meet again."
Feeling Tony Stark’s surprised gaze and his brother Thor’s relieved expression, Loki felt uncomfortable all over. After saying that, he turned into fragments and vanished from where he stood.
"Thor, it seems you still need to beat your brother more often before he can realize his mistakes."
Seeing Loki flee directly, Tony spoke.
"Just beating him up won’t do much."
"Loki’s temperament is rather awkward, but he has always been clever. Before doing certain things, he always leaves himself a way out."
"This time, when he came to Void Island, he probably thought he could receive some blessing from God of the Void Kassadin and gain even greater power."
"Even if he got nothing, a great figure like God of the Void Kassadin would not hold it against him."
"But this plan, whose process and outcome both defied logic, nearly got him killed instead. That was why he recognized his mistake."
Thor smiled as he spoke.
He was also beginning to understand the nature and thoughts of his foolish younger brother more and more.
There was nothing wrong with seeking strength. No one did not want to gain greater power.
Thor himself was the same. He hoped to become even stronger and become a renowned powerhouse across the universe like his father, God King Odin.
Only then could he better protect what he wanted to protect and safeguard Asgard and the Nine Realms.
But Thor also knew that strength could not be improved overnight.
Moreover, his father was still around, so he only needed to grow steadily.
"No matter what, a setback teaches a lesson. He probably won’t come to Void Island again."
"Thor, don’t forget what you said."
"You still owe me a good drink."
Seeing Thor’s smiling face, Tony smiled as well.
"Alright. Once you return to Blue Star, I’ll definitely bring good wine there and have a drink with you."
"Thank you again for saving my troublesome younger brother."
Thor nodded with a smile, set a time for their next drink, thanked him, and then took the initiative to end the communication.
After cleaning up the mess, Tony looked at the empty hall, went to the balcony, and had a drink.
Then Tony headed straight to the cafeteria to find something to eat.
Once Lalatina officially started work, she could bring him food and such things.
But Lalatina would not officially begin working for him until tomorrow, so he went directly to the cafeteria.
At sunset, many Void Cult members had gathered in the cafeteria.
Tony’s arrival did not draw much hostility or any strange looks.
That was because Renoli and the others had already spoken up for Tony. They had also explained Loki’s background and why Miss Sonia had asked Tony Stark to resolve the matter.
Since they knew this had been an undeserved disaster for Tony Stark, they naturally could not exclude Tony merely because Loki knew him.
