Legend of the Condor Heroes: Starting Over

After spending a few days with Mao Jiu in the God Realm, Su Yu left Douluo World. After leaving Douluo, Su Yu returned to Raincoat World and went alone to its highest point.

Su Yu looked down at the mountains, rivers, and lakes below him, a trace of confusion rising in his heart. He stared blankly into the distance, not knowing what he was thinking.

Suddenly, an old man’s voice sounded beside Su Yu’s ear. "Kid, what are you doing standing here alone?"

Hearing the voice, Su Yu immediately came back to his senses. He glanced at the person beside him—it was Old Man Void. Su Yu sighed and said, "What else could I be doing? Thinking. Old man, I don’t know why, but I’ve been feeling really bored lately…"

Void smiled, stroking his beard as he said, "Of course. The more invincible you are, the lonelier you become. You know that when Time travels through other worlds, she seals her cultivation and memories, right? Reincarnation and I do the same. When we travel through other worlds, we usually seal our cultivation and memories, because only then does life become interesting.

"If you stay invincible forever, what fun is there in that? No one in the entire world can defeat the four of us. If you enter a world without sealing your cultivation and memories, before long, you’ll find it boring and want to leave. Think about it—wasn’t the first world you visited more exciting than the ones you visited afterward?"

After hearing Void’s words, Su Yu instantly came to a realization, his eyes lighting up. Then he smiled and said, "Old man, thanks. Sealing my cultivation is fine… but I don’t want to seal my memories."

Void rolled his eyes at Su Yu. "What’s the use of not sealing your memories? Even if you have no cultivation left, you’ll still remember everything else. You could reach the peak of that world again in just a few days of cultivation. Wouldn’t that still be boring?"

Su Yu smiled and patted Void on the shoulder. "Old man, you old folks wouldn’t understand how us young people think. For my next world, I plan to visit a martial arts world for fun. Once I get there, I’ll have all my guqin skills. Even if I might have no opponents in the whole world, it’ll still be interesting. A master who uses a guqin appearing in a martial arts world… just thinking about it sounds fun."

Void smiled and shook his head, a trace of desolation flashing through his eyes. Old folks… Sovereigns were beings whose appearances never changed. Even if they had looked old when they became Sovereigns, they could alter their appearance at any time afterward. How could Void truly be an old man?

Although Mao Jiu and Reincarnation did not know why Void appeared as an old man, they both guessed it might have something to do with before he became a Sovereign. Everyone had their own secrets, so they had never asked too closely.

Only Su Yu, that fool, still believed Void was truly that old. Did he really think the power and mystery of Sovereigns were just for show?

After chatting idly with Void for a while, Su Yu left. He arrived at All Heavens Palace. Although he no longer needed to come here to travel to other worlds, it had become a habit, so he came anyway.

Since he was already there, Su Yu began searching through countless images for the world he wanted to visit. After looking for a while, he stopped before one image. Within it, a man with long black hair stood atop a tree, playing a flute.

A lock of hair before the man’s right ear drifted in the wind, giving him an unrestrained and elegant air.

Su Yu tapped the image. It shot into the ground, and an ancient bronze gate rose from the earth. Su Yu stepped through it.

The next moment, Su Yu’s vision went black. Then he became a baby and appeared out of thin air in a peach grove.

Su Yu had set this up himself. Since he wanted things to be more ordinary, he would start as a baby. At that moment, Su Yu had no cultivation at all and seemed like an ordinary infant. The place where he appeared was Peach Blossom Island from Legend of the Condor Heroes.

Su Yu lay naked on the ground and soon fell into deep thought… If he wanted someone to find him, he had to cry. Su Yu was now struggling over whether to cry or not… If he cried, it would be too humiliating. He was a Sovereign, after all. But if he did not cry, he would freeze to death…

Although Su Yu would not truly die, starving to death the moment he arrived in this world would be far too humiliating.

Before long, Su Yu began to feel hungry. He could only smile bitterly. He had not experienced this feeling in a very long time. Forget it. Since he looked like a baby now, Su Yu began crying loudly. Of course, to anyone else, it simply sounded like an infant crying.

Huang Laoxie, who was truly playing the flute, suddenly heard the crying. He froze for a moment, then drifted toward the sound. Before long, Huang Laoxie arrived before Su Yu and picked him up. Huang Laoxie asked in confusion, "Why has a baby suddenly appeared on Peach Blossom Island?"

After thinking for a moment, Huang Laoxie turned and left with Su Yu in his arms. Huang Laoxie’s qinggong was exceptional. Even as he traveled through the trees, Su Yu did not feel the slightest bit dizzy.

Very quickly, Huang Laoxie carried Su Yu into a large residence and entered a room. Inside, a breathtakingly beautiful woman with an elegant and refined appearance was embroidering. The moment she saw Huang Laoxie enter, she smiled and called out, "Husband, why did you stop playing the flute?"

Huang Laoxie smiled and looked at Su Yu. "I suddenly heard crying just now, then found this child in the peach grove. I don’t know where he came from. There shouldn’t be any babies on Peach Blossom Island."

The woman was Huang Laoxie’s wife, Feng Heng. When Feng Heng saw Su Yu, her eyes lit up. She immediately took Su Yu into her arms and looked at the child with a smile. "This child is so beautiful. By the way, could one of your disciples have brought him back when they returned?"

Huang Laoxie shook his head. "Not likely. If any of them had brought someone else onto the island, they would definitely have told me."

"Husband, I want to adopt this child. Is that all right?" Feng Heng looked at Huang Laoxie with sparkling eyes. Huang Laoxie smiled and nodded. "Of course. I already checked him just now. His bones and physique are excellent. He is absolutely a martial arts prodigy."

Feng Heng pouted. "Husband, you already have six disciples. This child will have to study literature with me in the future."

Huang Laoxie immediately became displeased. "Fine, then he can learn everything. Since we’re adopting this child, he’ll be my son, Huang Laoxie’s son. Naturally, Huang Laoxie’s son must know everything."

Hearing that, Su Yu truly wanted to roll his eyes at Huang Laoxie. He had not expected Huang Laoxie to be a little narcissistic.

Feng Heng immediately smiled when she heard Huang Laoxie’s words. "All right, then let’s give this child a name."

From now on, I’ll try to update once a day. But phone checks are getting stricter and stricter now. If my phone gets confiscated someday, there’s nothing I can do.
