Let Her Come Back and Beg Me

Second Heaven!

Third Heaven!

Eighth Heaven!

Nine Heavens!

As Skye’s pained screams rang out from inside the equipment, the speed of the Magnetic Field Rotation around her body began to increase wildly.

In the end, Skye had been tricked into crippledom by Whitehall and agreed to participate in his "World Destroyer" project, undergoing an injection of Gravitonium.

But Skye had not expected the process to be so painful. Even with her physical abilities enhanced by Magnetic Field Rotation, she still felt unable to endure it. Even worse, it was as if some voice were whispering inside her mind. The sensation was enough to drive anyone insane.

She finally couldn’t take it anymore. With a wave of her hand, she sent the injection chamber’s lid flying with a booming crash.

Skye took a step and flew out of the injection chamber. She swept her eyes around, intending to settle the score with the Whitehall who had deceived her, only to discover that the man was nowhere to be seen.

Clutching her forehead with one hand, Skye did her best to suppress the voice screaming inside her head as she slowly descended to the ground.

At that moment, a speaker in the laboratory switched on, and Whitehall’s voice came through.

"Skye, how do you feel?"

Skye flew into a rage and glared at the speaker. It was immediately twisted into a lump of scrap metal by gravity.

This power was simply too strong. It activated the instant she willed it, and Whitehall, watching from outside, was overjoyed. His hearty laughter came through another speaker.

"Skye, did you see that? This is the power of a Graviton Warrior! And I can feel that your Magnetic Field Rotation has improved along with it! The two powers are mutually reinforcing, a perfect combination! Hahaha…"

"Shut up, you bastard! My head is about to explode! I never should have trusted you! The side effects are ten thousand times worse than you said!"

Skye clutched her head with both hands, trying to remain calm, but the voices inside her mind grew increasingly chaotic and clamorous, making her reason more and more fragile.

"Skye, don’t be nervous. Relax. Trust me. You are the most suitable World Destroyer. You have the best adaptability to Gravitonium, and you are the ideal candidate for a 100% injection!"

Whitehall’s seductive voice rang out again, blending into the whispers beside Skye’s ears.

"I told you before that Gravitonium is a living organism. It will coexist with humanity."

"So, Skye, don’t reject it. Try to accept it slowly. You’ve only injected five percent, and you’re already this powerful. Once you adapt, we’ll continue increasing the amount."

"When you’ve been injected with 100%, you’ll surpass Magneto!"

"You will become the god of the New World!"

"Shut up!" Skye waved her hand wildly, and a gravitational field immediately erupted, twisting the entire laboratory into a grotesque shape.

She staggered out through the laboratory door, only to be met head-on by a group of Hydra soldiers charging toward her with weapons. She pointed at them, and a gravitational vortex formed out of thin air, pulling every one of them inside.

Amid a chorus of screams, a mass of fresh meat paste was squeezed out. When the gravitational vortex disappeared, the meat paste fell from the air and landed right in the middle of the corridor, spraying blood in all directions and instantly coating the entire passage.

The stench of blood rushed into Skye’s nose, and she couldn’t help vomiting. But after she finished, she seemed to sense that the whispers in her mind had weakened considerably.

She glanced at the blood covering the floor and frowned. Then, almost instinctively, her body floated upward, and she began to fly.

It was Skye’s first time flying, and she was still not used to it. She bobbed and stumbled through the air as she floated over the corridor, but she did not land. Instead, she continued flying forward, because she discovered that the more often she used Gravitonium, the more the pressure on her body was reduced.

The previous group of soldiers had merely rushed over instinctively after hearing the alarm. Whitehall had ordered away all the soldiers who came afterward.

Whitehall had probably guessed that Skye would come looking for him, so he had slipped away first. Skye searched the entire base but failed to find him.

After tearing the base apart to vent her anger, Skye left in a fury.

She now felt that her power had become sufficiently strong. The Magnetic Field Warriors of S.H.I.E.L.D. were no match for her anymore. Therefore, she decided to rescue her father on her own.

Only after Skye had gone far from the base did Whitehall, now in another hidden base, call S.H.I.E.L.D. Director John Garrett.

"Skye has been recruited by me. Our original deal is canceled."

Director Garrett snorted. "Fine. You came out on top this time! You didn’t call just to gloat, did you?"

"Of course not. I want to propose another deal."

"Let’s hear it."

"Skye will soon go rescue her father. I want you to teach her a lesson and make her realize that she still isn’t strong enough, then come back and beg me."

"That will be easy. I have plenty of Magnetic Field Warriors here."

"Don’t underestimate her. I’ve already modified her. She is now a Graviton Warrior. Those cannon fodder who reached Twenty Heavens only by relying on Strong Magnetic Armor won’t be her match."

"Is that so? Then I know what to do. Still, an armor that reaches Fifty Heavens should be enough to deal with her, right? If it isn’t, we’ll have no choice but to let Shuri step in."

"Remember to give her a chance to come back. Don’t let her die there."

"Of course. Next, we should discuss the matter of payment…"

After a long while, Director Garrett hung up the phone and picked up the internal line. "Have Ward come here."

Originally, Peter, that tireless workhorse, would have been the best choice for this sort of mission. But this time, they needed an opportunity to let Skye escape, so Garrett did not feel comfortable sending an outsider like Peter. After considering it carefully, his adopted son Ward was the most suitable candidate.

After briefing Ward, Garrett sent him to the laboratory to retrieve Strong Magnetic Armor that reached Fifty Heavens. Then Director Garrett opened his computer and began arranging the personnel.

Previously, in order to capture Skye and negotiate with Whitehall, he had imprisoned Carl in the S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters and tortured him by every means possible, hoping to learn Skye’s whereabouts. But Carl himself did not know where Skye was, and even if he had known, he would never have told them. As a result, Director Garrett had gained nothing.

Now he transferred Carl out of S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters and imprisoned him in another superhuman prison. Then he transferred several Magnetic Field Warriors whom Hydra had failed to recruit there. Meanwhile, he removed the S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel stationed at the prison by finding various excuses to transfer them, place them on leave, or arrest them for investigation on suspicion of being Hydra agents.

That way, he could kill with a borrowed knife, quietly eliminate the genuine S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel, and replace them with Hydra’s elites.
