Little Hulk Identity Stolen? (Please Bookmark)

New York, on a country road leading to a remote small town.

A vintage Chevrolet was rolling slowly along.

Melodious country music drifted from the half-open windows, filling the rural road as the car passed by.

A middle-aged couple sat in the front. The man drove leisurely, his fingers unconsciously tapping a slow beat against the steering wheel to the beautiful music playing on the car radio.

The woman in the passenger seat leaned back against her seat, quietly admiring the scenery gliding past outside the window.

At that moment, everything seemed harmonious and peaceful, like a family out on a picnic.

As a beautiful country song gradually came to an end, an energetic musical intro suddenly came through the speakers…

"Hey (hey),

What’s the matter with your head?

yeah…"

With the intro, an upbeat rock song began to play, instantly making the previously quiet and peaceful car feel livelier. Even the middle-aged man’s fingers began tapping along to the music with greater movements.

"Ben, turn the music down. Don’t wake Peter."

Although the energetic song was very pleasant to listen to and even made the atmosphere in the car more cheerful,

its lively rhythm felt somewhat abrupt in the otherwise quiet car.

Especially since there was a teenager dozing in the back seat.

"Thanks, Aunt May, but I’m already awake."

Just as Ben Parker was about to lower the volume at his wife’s request, a slightly lazy voice came from behind them, sounding as though its owner had not fully woken up yet.

"It’s good that you’re awake. We’re almost at our destination anyway."

Ignoring the slightly angry glare his wife gave him, Ben Parker spoke slowly without turning around.

"Mm…"

Peter Parker, whose brain had been forcibly rebooted by the music, could only give a soft response before shaking his slightly muddled head.

Music could indeed help people sleep, but that depended on the type.

This Redbone classic might have sounded like the ultimate musical enjoyment to people in this world.

But for him, someone who had crossed over from another world, it instead brought an unforgettable image slowly rising in his mind.

A certain movie series from his previous life had given him an entirely different impression of this song.

Even though he had been asleep just moments ago, the instant he heard the opening notes,

a strange scene still involuntarily appeared in his mind.

A certain "idiot" with the body of a god but the strength of an ordinary man, a Walkman hanging from his waist, was swaying his somewhat chubby body to this energetic music…

It had forced him awake from his sleep.

What was more, the world he had crossed into was precisely the world where that "idiot" lived.

The music continued. To temporarily forget that strange image in his mind, Peter Parker could only find a topic to keep his thoughts from being further affected by the song.

"Uncle Ben, when can we get a new car? This car is probably older than I am."

What should have been a two- or three-hour drive had taken nearly an entire morning in this aged vintage car.

Anyone would probably start thinking about replacing it.

"What, you don’t like my old buddy anymore? Do you know which guy used to rely on me and this old buddy whenever he missed the school bus?"

Uncle Ben replied teasingly.

"Uncle Ben, I’ve been very punctual these past few months."

Peter felt that whatever this guy had done before he crossed over had nothing to do with the current him.

"That’s right. You have become punctual these past few months, but the trouble you’ve caused has gotten bigger too."

"You even dared to steal from Oscorp, and you were caught red-handed."

"If you weren’t still a minor, and if it weren’t for your parents, you’d probably still be locked up in the NYPD right now!"

The thought of it made Ben Parker furious. Even now, his expression remained extremely stern.

"Uncle Ben, I’m sorry for making you worry, but I had a reason for doing that."

Seeing Uncle Ben’s livid expression through the rearview mirror, Peter could only explain softly.

After all, having just crossed into this world and become Peter Parker, he naturally could not resist the temptation of becoming Spider-Man.

It was only understandable that he might do something a little out of line for that reason.

"A reason? Did you go there to investigate your parents…"

Clearly, the two of them understood Peter’s reason differently.

"Enough, Ben. We didn’t come out today to argue!"

When Ben was about to continue, Aunt May finally spoke up and interrupted their unpleasant conversation.

"Sorry, Peter. I shouldn’t have said that."

Interrupted by Aunt May, Ben also realized that his words might have hurt Peter.

"But what happened to your parents can’t be changed. You can’t give up your future because of them. You still have endless possibilities ahead of you."

"I understand, Uncle Ben, Aunt May. You don’t need to worry about me."

Peter’s tone seemed remarkably calm at that moment.

"This child…"

Seeing Peter’s unusual calmness, the parker couple exchanged a glance, their eyes both revealing a trace of concern.

"Come and get your love…"

The music continued, and gradually, the car fell silent once more.

Peter’s thoughts also slowly returned to the time a few days ago when he had broken into Oscorp alone.

Desperate to gain power, he could no longer wait to follow the normal course of fate—to be bitten by the destined spider during a visit to the Oscorp Bio-Lab and become Spider-Man.

After making some preparations, he secretly infiltrated Oscorp and, without much danger, entered the laboratory where genetically modified spiders were kept.

Although he triggered the alarm upon entering, he still successfully let one of the genetically modified spiders bite his arm before the security personnel arrived.

So even though he was eventually caught by the security guards and sent to the police station, it still meant that he had accomplished his goal.

Yet after Uncle Ben brought him home from the police station and several days had passed, he still had not awakened Spider-Man’s abilities.

"Maybe the spider that bit me was the wrong one. Next time, I’ll make every spider bite me once."

Having failed to awaken Spider-Man’s abilities, Peter could only blame the failure on the spider that had bitten him.

And he prepared to infiltrate Oscorp again.

At the same time, the cheerful music in the car abruptly stopped.

Then the voice of a radio broadcaster came through.

"Breaking news: A traffic accident occurred on Queensboro Bridge this morning. A family sedan was rear-ended by a truck and went over the side of the bridge. Fortunately, just as the car was about to fall, a Mysterious Person dressed in a bodysuit and wearing a mask appeared. He used a special kind of Webbing to wrap around the vehicle and pull it back onto the bridge."

"Fortunately, only a small number of people suffered minor injuries, and no one was killed."

"According to Officer George Stacy, the police representative at the scene, no human factor was found in this accident. Please follow subsequent reports for further updates."

The news bulletin ended, but Peter had only one thought in his heart.

"My Little Hulk identity was stolen?"
