"We’re waiting for a friend. He’ll tell us the details about the factory."

Wade replied, "Treece, you’d better prepare yourself. What you’re about to see is no different from Hell."

"No different from Hell? Wow, this is the big story I’ve always dreamed of."

Not only was the male reporter Treece not afraid in the slightest, he became even more excited. This story might become the turning point of his life and propel him to the pinnacle of journalism.

Seeing how excited Treece was, Wade’s eyes flashed with pity. Hopefully, he wouldn’t throw up later.

"Um, Mr. Wade, let me make this clear beforehand. Although you work for Iron Man, I won’t cover anything up for you. I’ll film everything I see."

Remembering something, Treece said solemnly, "It’s professional ethics."

"No problem. If you think we’ve committed crimes, you can call the police afterward. But don’t try to stop us, and don’t do anything unnecessary. A battlefield is dangerous."

Wade explained. That was also why he had chosen a male reporter—he wouldn’t get quite so emotional.

"Okay."

Treece nodded. At that moment, a voice suddenly rang out. "I’ll be responsible for his and the cameraman’s safety."

"Who’s there?"

Everyone jumped and hurriedly looked toward the voice, but they couldn’t see anything. Wade blinked and asked, "Translucent?"

"Translucent?"

Everyone was stunned at first, then their eyes filled with envy. This was the superpower every man dreamed of.

"It’s me."

Translucent nodded and placed a DV camera on a nearby shelf. "I’ve recorded the guards’ positions. A big shot is coming today, so security is twice as tight as usual."

"A big shot?"

Treece was a little excited. Today’s story seemed like it was going to be explosive.

Wade took the DV camera and watched it for a while before saying, "These guards won’t be difficult to deal with. We’ll put on a good show for the audience."

"It’s up to you."

Translucent said, "Before you act, I’ll take the reporter inside to film. Don’t worry, he won’t be discovered. I’ll turn both him and the cameraman invisible."

"You can do that too?"

Wade’s eyes lit up. Wiggling his brows, he said, "Buddy, once this is over, I’ll buy you a drink."

"The BOSS temporarily upgraded my ability. I can only use it once."

Translucent said irritably. What was so interesting about women? He had gotten sick of looking at them long ago.

"What a pity."

Wade, Wolverine, Treece, and the Security Team members all sighed in unison. Then they looked at each other and laughed.

"Translucent, won’t filming inside ahead of time alert them?"

After thinking for a moment, Wade asked, "The footage will be broadcast live. People outside will definitely call Francis to warn him."

Translucent said, "Don’t worry. The communications around here have been blocked by equipment provided by the BOSS. Only the livestream signal can get out."

"The BOSS really prepared everything thoroughly."

Wade said, "In that case, let’s stop wasting time. Translucent, take Treece inside to film first. We’ll work out tactics to deal with the guards."

Translucent nodded. "Okay. Oh, right, there are two escape routes in the factory. We absolutely can’t let them get away."

"Don’t worry. I’ve gone over the information you provided several times. My wife even scolded me for it. Women are such a pain."

Wade complained. Everyone rolled their eyes. You were showing off, weren’t you? Translucent couldn’t be bothered to say more. Using his ability to envelop Treece and the cameraman, he led them into the factory.

Seeing Treece and the others disappear, Wolverine impatiently asked, "When do we charge in?"

"No rush. I’ll deal with the scattered guards first."

Wade said, "Please call me Professional Assassin Wade Deadpool."

Wolverine looked disdainful. "What kind of professional assassin are you? I’m the real professional assassin."

"You’re an assassin? Logan, that joke isn’t funny at all."

Wade looked disgusted, and the others felt the same. A brute like you dared call yourself an assassin? A professional assassin? Wolverine arrogantly said, "Of course I’m an assassin. I’ve never revealed my identity when I work, because I kill every enemy. Not one is left alive."

Wade was speechless. A moment later, he gave Wolverine the middle finger and abruptly vanished.

"Big deal, you can use Teleportation…"

Wolverine cursed unhappily. At that moment, a guard appeared out of thin air. Wolverine immediately plunged his claws into the man’s chest, ending his life.

And that was only the beginning. More and more guards were teleported over, and the Security Team competed to kill them, their enthusiasm soaring.

What? Wasn’t that a little too cruel? Having read the files, the Security Team could only say that they were afraid they weren’t being cruel enough.

Leaving Wade aside as he used his superpower to play assassin, on the other side, Translucent led Treece and the cameraman into the factory.

The moment he entered, Treece smelled something even worse than a toilet. He asked, "What do they make here? It smells awful."

Translucent’s expression was unreadable. "You’ll find out soon enough."

It was worth mentioning that Treece, the cameraman, and Translucent couldn’t see one another, though they had a vague sense of each other and wouldn’t bump into anyone. Treece guessed, "Could they be making poison? Also, is it okay for us to talk like this?"

"No problem. Unless I want it to, our voices won’t carry outside."

Translucent said. Treece sighed in relief and said, "That’s good. Mr. Translucent, I’m going to start the livestream now. Any problem with that?"

Translucent said, "No problem. The sins here should be exposed to the public."

"That’s my duty."

Treece nodded and had the cameraman turn on the camera. The cameraman said, "Treece, under the current circumstances, I can’t film you."

Treece said, "That’s fine. As long as you can film the surroundings. So, has it started?"

The cameraman nodded. "It’s started."

"Hello, viewers. This is Treece from New York TV Station. You must be wondering why you can’t see me. It’s because I’m invisible."

Unable to see where the camera was, Treece spoke as he walked. "Today, Iron Man gave me an important mission: to livestream an operation. His people told me that this factory hides tremendous evil.

"We’re inside the factory now. Let’s find out together just how evil it truly is."

"Iron Man?"

Those three words possessed immense magic. Every viewer instinctively put down their remote controls and stopped changing channels. At the same time, some viewers called their friends and family, urging them to hurry and watch Iron Man’s livestream.

"The entrance to the hall is up ahead. We’ll soon see this factory’s true face. Oh, and let me tell you first, this place smells terrible, worse than a toilet. Oh, God!"

Treece was introducing the scene when he suddenly saw the conditions inside the hall through the glass and cried out in shock.

Inside the crude hall were over a hundred hospital beds. Many people covered in injuries lay upon them. In other words, this was a hospital. But what was shocking was that the surrounding environment was horrendous, practically like a slaughterhouse. Cockroaches could even be seen crawling about.

"Is this a hospital or a slaughterhouse? How could it be this bad?"

Treece nearly threw up. The viewers were also shocked. Was Iron Man exposing a heartless hospital today? Translucent said nothing and carefully opened the hall door. Waves of screams came pouring out. The staff were beating, electrocuting, burning… the patients. The patients wailed and begged for mercy, but the staff remained unmoved and beat them even harder.

The brutal beatings and electric shocks caused some patients to lose control of their bowels and bladders. That was why the place smelled so foul.

"Oh, God, is this Hell?"

Treece couldn’t help shouting. Many viewers covered their mouths, their faces filled with horror. Even Hell probably wasn’t worse than this.

News of the livestream quickly spread online, and more and more people began watching. The military also discovered it and immediately reported it to General Anthony and the Staff Officers.

General Anthony was alarmed. He hurriedly called Brigadier General Lance, but the call wouldn’t go through at all. Furious, General Anthony viciously smashed the phone against the floor.

"This is the sixth phone the general has smashed this month."

A staff officer sighed inwardly. He said, "General, Brigadier General Lance is finished. We need to find a way to get ourselves out of this. If this matter involves you, it’ll be troublesome."

"Destroy all the documents. I know nothing about this. Brigadier General Lance did everything himself."

General Anthony said coldly, "Also, immediately send the military over to control the situation. And arrest Brigadier General Lance. If he resists, shoot him on the spot."

"Yes, General."

The staff officer nodded first, then reminded him, "General, it will take the military at least half an hour to get there."

"Why don’t we have anyone with Teleportation?"

General Anthony cursed. He said, "Hurry up. I’m going to discuss what to do next with Acton. Damn Iron Man, how did he find out about this?"

The staff officer sighed inwardly. "There’s an old saying in the East: If you don’t want others to know, don’t do it."

Leaving aside the chaos in the military, Treece asked Translucent, "Translucent, what exactly are they doing? Are they demons in disguise, torturing people for pleasure?"

"Come with me."

Translucent did not explain directly. He led Treece farther inside while the cameraman filmed the patients’ miserable condition for the viewers. Many viewers couldn’t help closing their eyes. It was too tragic; they couldn’t bear to watch.

At that moment, a patient who had been constantly beaten drew his last breath. A staff member angrily grabbed the patient’s head and slammed it against the wall, cursing, "Another one died. What useless trash. He wasted our drugs for nothing."

"Is that something a human being could say?"

Treece was so furious he nearly rushed over to beat up the staff member. The viewers felt the same. This was far too inhuman. "Get used to it. Their chance of successfully awakening as Mutants is less than five percent."

Another staff member said, "Enough nonsense. Throw him into the incinerator."

"Fine."

The first staff member nodded, released the corpse’s head, and tossed it onto a stretcher like garbage, preparing to send it to the incinerator.

"They’re creating Mutants?"

Treece was stunned. He asked Translucent, "Translucent, is this factory a Mutant manufacturing facility?"

"Yes. They use drugs and extreme pain to force ordinary people to awaken their Mutant Gene."

Translucent nodded. "Most people have a Mutant Gene in their bodies. It just hasn’t awakened."

Treece said, "This method is far too cruel, isn’t it? For every five Mutants awakened, ninety-five people have to die, and they die in extreme agony."

Translucent shrugged. "That’s what demons are, isn’t it?"

"That’s right. They’re all demons. Translucent, who is the Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator? I want to expose every one of them and make them receive the punishment they deserve."

Treece said hatefully. The viewers before their screens felt the same. Scum like that didn’t deserve to live.

"Making them face punishment won’t be easy."

Translucent smiled. "Do you want to see the Mutants who successfully awakened?"

"I do. Sigh, to be honest, I don’t want to stay here any longer. This place is too cruel."

"Neither do I."

Translucent shook his head and took Treece and the camera to the backyard. There, they saw the Mutants—Mutants wearing collars and being trained like dogs.

"Trash, hurry up and smash that rock. Only then can you fetch a good price."

"You still dare to resist? Strip him and give him an electric shock. Remember, you’re only a slave. You have no right to resist."

"Ah! Damn it…"

Treece swore and immediately wanted to rush out and beat the staff member. Translucent hurriedly pulled him back. "You’re livestreaming right now. Calm down."

"I don’t want to calm down! How can there be people this evil in the world? Not only do they create Mutants through such brutally cruel methods, they sell them as slaves."

Treece shouted, "This is America’s shame! Do we really live in a modern society?"

The viewers all nodded. The existence of this factory was absolutely America’s shame. They were as furious as Treece, furious enough to want to kill every one of those people.

"America’s shame?"

As if he had heard the funniest joke in the world, Translucent burst into laughter. His laughter was filled with mockery and sorrow. Treece froze, then thought of something and asked, "Does this have something to do with the government?"

"You’ll know soon enough. Come on, I’ll take you to meet the Behind-the-Scenes Manipulator."

Translucent shook his head and led Treece and the others upstairs. Although guards were stationed outside the room where Brigadier General Lance and Francis were, Translucent had prepared in advance and brought Treece and the cameraman to a window.

Then Translucent carefully pushed open the window and gestured for the cameraman to aim the camera inside.

In the office, Brigadier General Lance, with a hooked nose and a stern face, asked Francis, "Francis, we’ll provide you with unlimited drugs and funding. You need to triple the factory’s scale within a month. Any problem?"

"General, theoretically, there’s no problem. But doing so will increase the number of missing people."

Francis said, "If too many people go missing, the police will definitely investigate. The factory may be discovered then."

"General?"

Treece cried out in shock, as did the viewers. This wasn’t merely connected to the government—it was connected to the military.
