Loki: Call Me When Class Starts
The appearance of the Xingtian Armor directly brought this battle to an end.
The Xingtian Armor was far more than a simple technological creation; it integrated extremely advanced magical methods.
Equipped with several powerful mana cannons, Portal magic and spatial expansion magic were standard features. Because of its massive size and ample internal space, countless magic arrays had been inscribed onto the armor.
At the initial design stage, they had nearly installed an entire ammunition production line within its expanded space. A single Xingtian Armor could easily determine the outcome of a war.
Not to mention now, when dozens or even hundreds of Xingtian Armors appeared. Their overwhelming firepower made it extremely difficult for the Doughnut Spaceships to even maintain their defenses.
Sure enough, the Dark Order had been screwed over by Loki. Earth was supposed to be some kind of low-level civilization?
Compared to the famous Nova Corps of the universe, how much stronger were the Xingtian Armors?
At maximum charge, the Xingtian Armor’s mana cannons were no weaker than the energy cannons mounted on China’s first few aerospace carriers.
After just a few seconds of charging, the condensed energy blasts could effortlessly destroy an entire island.
Dozens of armors launched an offensive against the Doughnut Spaceships. A single volley shattered their shields, leaving them completely exposed to attack.
After a barrage against the spacecraft, the Qing Luan Fighters quickly tore open the Doughnut Spaceships’ hulls.
The Xingtian Armors pressed their advantage, and the massive spacecraft were shot down, crushing countless buildings beneath them.
"So powerful."
Thor and the others had long since regrouped with Captain America and the rest. Watching the Xingtian Armor formation shine brilliantly in the sky, Thor was utterly dumbfounded.
Wasn’t this a little too terrifying?
War Machines like these were far more formidable than Asgard’s legions.
Asgard’s greatest strength lay in its individual warriors, but now even the Chinese had surpassed Asgardians in individual strength, let alone with these terrifying War Machines.
Asgard’s power primarily relied on magic. Although it had achieved quite a bit technologically, it still lagged far behind China, which had advanced both magic and technology side by side.
Not to mention anything else—even this Xingtian Armor might be impossible for Asgard to defeat.
Against an army of Xingtian Armors like this, what could the legendary Valkyrie Corps possibly fight with?
Their heads?
Without realizing it, China’s power had become strong enough to make even Thor feel alarmed.
"Does Asgard have an army like this too?"
Tony and the others had also brought Loki down to the ground.
Looking at the Xingtian Armors in the sky, Tony asked the silent Loki beside him.
"…"
Loki didn’t want to speak. When he had come to China three years ago, he had been shocked by the Hulk and the Kirin Armor, but weapons like the Qing Luan Fighters and Xingtian Armors had not yet appeared.
He still remembered how Chen Mu, upon first arriving in Asgard, had looked like a country bumpkin entering a grand estate, staring here and touching there as though he had never seen the world.
Yet how long had it been? These two Chinese weapons had left even Loki utterly stunned.
They hadn’t existed before, so how had they suddenly appeared?
In other words, had all of these things been created within the past two years?
Just over two years?
Was that even possible?
Though he was full of doubt, reality lay naked before him, and Loki had no choice but to believe it.
For long-lived beings like them, who routinely lived for thousands of years, two years were no more than the flick of a finger.
Yet in that mere instant, China’s strength had undergone earth-shaking changes!
If Loki knew that the Black Order of the Dark Order suspected him of setting them up, he would definitely cry injustice.
How the hell was he supposed to know China had become this fierce?
"No."
Thor, ever straightforward, stared at the Xingtian Armors in the sky with amazement. "Asgard’s legions are strongest in ground combat. For interstellar warfare, we generally use the Bifrost."
The Bifrost was a planet-destroying superweapon. Not only was it immensely powerful, it could instantly strike anywhere in the universe. Even without a cosmic army like Thanos’s, Asgard’s deterrent power over other civilizations was not weak in the slightest.
"So China’s military strength is now no weaker than Asgard’s?"
Tony immediately got the point.
"Yes, that’s not wrong."
Thor had nothing to hide and nodded in acknowledgment.
"But Asgard still has the Bifrost. It can destroy any enemy!"
Thor was extremely proud of that fact and made no attempt to conceal it.
"Like Earth’s nuclear weapons—a deterrent force."
Tony nodded. At that moment, he felt that Asgard was perhaps nothing all that special after all.
He looked at the Xingtian Armors in the sky and began considering whether he could build something similar with the technology currently at his disposal.
The Xingtian Armor was essentially an enlarged Kirin Armor. If he enlarged his Mark Armor by several dozen times, could he create one too?
It was feasible, but the design changes required would be extensive. It was far from as simple as merely scaling it up.
Tony was filled with envy toward the Xingtian Armor. He wanted to build one himself—it was simply too cool!
"Yes, Asgard is better at magic."
Thor’s simple mind held no thoughts of concealment. He laid everything out plainly, making Loki beside him break out in black lines. After training with the Chinese military for so many years, why had this guy not improved at all?
Could he use his brain a little?
Though utterly speechless, Loki couldn’t be bothered to complain. He felt deeply helpless and simply didn’t want to talk.
"But come to think of it, this Xingtian Armor isn’t just a technological product either!"
Although Thor remained as guileless as ever, he still had insight. At a glance, he saw what made the Xingtian Armor different.
"It’s not purely a technological creation. From what I can see, it contains far more magical technology than technological technology!"
"So if I want to build the same kind of armor, I’ll have to learn magic too?"
Tony stroked his chin and said thoughtfully, "I heard China is preparing to establish magic training classes for middle-aged and elderly people? Looks like I really need to find a chance to enroll."
"When does class start? Call me when it does!"
Hearing Tony’s words, Loki asked curiously. As the First Mage of the Nine Realms, was there anything wrong with learning a few more spells?
Absolutely not!
Every mage should be interested in new and different magic.
After witnessing the magic used by those Chinese magic apprentices, Loki had become very interested!
Of course, what interested him most was that those mages actually fought in close combat!
This was the magic Loki had dreamed of learning for over a thousand years!
A true mage should fight in close combat!
Learning a little illusion magic was enough. A fight where every punch landed was a mage’s romance!
So when Loki heard Tony mention "magic training classes for middle-aged and elderly people," he became extremely interested…
