Loki’s Prank
"Get lost!"
Loki ended her communication with Wang Bert with a dark expression. She was indeed bisexual, but her relationship with Thor was purely sibling affection.
Next, Loki used the Reality Stone to project herself onto Sanctuary, then reported the intelligence to Thanos.
Thanos looked stunned. "Two Iron Men, two Hulks, and a Fat Thor?"
"Yes. The Blood God’s control over Earth is too strong. I could only uncover this surface-level intelligence."
Loki said, "I felt this wasn’t a minor matter, so I came to report it to you."
Thanos nodded in satisfaction. "Well done, Loki. Do not act rashly. The Blood God is extremely terrifying right now. Continue developing the Frost Kingdom and await my orders."
Loki respectfully took her leave. "Yes, great Thanos."
After Loki vanished, Thanos turned to the empty void and asked, "Can you investigate what’s going on? Two Iron Men are not frightening, and neither are two Hulks. But two Blood Gods… heh, I might as well consider early retirement."
A moment later, Thanos asked in shock, "What? They don’t belong to this time-space, and that Fat Thor carries my death aura? In other words, Fat Thor has killed me?"
"Damn it, what exactly is going on?"
Thanos frowned deeply. After thinking for a moment, he said, "Help me. I need to find out what is happening."
At that moment, someone kissed Thanos on the cheek, and a voice only he could hear rang out. "I will help you. Also, you need not worry. You will never die. I said so."
Thanos’s heart completely settled. If She said he would not die, then he truly would not die. No matter how many times he was killed, he could be resurrected.
Because She was Death, the goddess he had loved all his life and was willing to give everything for.
A moment later, the Goddess of Death said, "Fat Thor bears your death aura. I will move him away from Earth. As for the rest, arrange it yourself. I cannot act too openly."
"Transfer him to the Frost Kingdom. I will have Loki handle things."
Thanos said, "Loki cannot be trusted, but she is useful. I have a feeling that this time, I may be able to fulfill my destiny ahead of schedule."
The Goddess of Death smiled faintly and left without a sound.
On Earth, Fat Thor was playing a "Super Heroes" game with Hela. While controlling Short-Haired Thor to attack Odin, he shouted, "Hela, speed up the attack! Odin is almost dead!"
Hela calmly commanded, "Your aggro is about to exceed the limit. Stop attacking. Lina, prepare Spider Bind. Mindy, Odin is probably about to summon mobs. Prepare Hellfire’s killer move."
Odin, standing nearby, rolled his eyes wildly. What a pair of unfilial children. Especially that bastard Fat Thor—he had actually snatched away Odin’s holographic game console, leaving him with nothing to play.
"Big sis, forget the aggro! Odin is nearly dead. Let’s finish him off!"
Fat Thor shouted excitedly. This game was so much fun, far more fun than the games in Future Time-Space.
"Shut up and do as I say."
Hela snapped. Just then, Young Odin turned around and attacked Short-Haired Thor. Short-Haired Thor took two shots and immediately went down. Right afterward, Young Odin unleashed a large number of mobs. Everyone scrambled in panic, and in the end, the entire party was wiped out.
"Thor, you’re a complete pig! Now we have to clear the prerequisite dungeon all over again."
Hela angrily took off her glasses and cursed loudly. Fat Thor also became furious. "Don’t think you can insult me just because you’re my sister! How was I supposed to know Young Odin’s attacks were that strong? That old bastard Odin was actually this fierce when he was young?"
Hela sneered, "Since you didn’t know, you should have obediently followed orders. No wonder you got Asgard destroyed."
"What did you say?"
Fat Thor flew into a rage and wanted to lash out. Hela fearlessly met his gaze. After a moment, Fat Thor sighed and left the room with a desolate back.
Odin said irritably, "Hela, stop provoking Thor all the time. He has had it hard too."
"I’m not wrong. He simply cannot support Asgard. Odin, I’m telling you this very seriously now—hand Asgard over to me."
Hela looked at Odin and said, "I promise I will not slaughter innocents or conquer the universe. Master can help witness my oath."
"Hela, that is not enough. If you could be like Little Hela, then whether you wanted the throne or not, I would give it to you. You would not be able to refuse it even if you tried."
Odin shook his head and said, "Right now, you and Thor are both unqualified kings."
Hela said with dissatisfaction and jealousy, "Isn’t Little Hela just me? Besides, her performance is nothing special."
"Little Hela has done far better than you. She is already a Mayor’s Assistant. Oh, and she handled a major parade some time ago. All the media in New York were praising her."
Odin bragged with a smug expression. Hela could not bear to listen any longer and stormed off angrily. Odin shrugged and was about to tidy the room when Hela suddenly cried out from outside. Odin hurriedly ran out and discovered lingering spatial fluctuations in the air.
Odin urgently asked, "What happened? Huh, where is Thor?"
"I don’t know. A Space Vortex suddenly appeared and took Thor away."
Hela frowned. "There was an extremely pure death aura within that Space Vortex."
"A death aura?"
Odin was startled and hurriedly contacted Wang Bert, asking him to help track the spatial fluctuations.
Bang! Fat Thor fell from the sky and crashed onto hard ice, smashing a huge hole through it.
Next, Fat Thor clumsily crawled out of the pit. Raising Stormbreaker, he roared, "Who ambushed me? Get out here right now!"
No one answered Fat Thor. After hesitating for a moment, he prepared to use Stormbreaker to return to Earth, only to discover that Stormbreaker could not summon the power of the Bifrost.
"What is going on?"
Fat Thor frowned. After thinking for a moment, he transformed into a burly bolt of lightning and flew into the sky, beginning to search this world.
Very soon, Fat Thor found a palace guarded by a large number of Frost Giants. He froze. "Frost Giants? Did the Frost Giants set me up? No, they do not have that kind of power."
After hesitating, Fat Thor landed with a bang at the palace entrance. Then, he shouted, "I am Thor! Send your leader out to meet me!"
"Thor?"
The guards were startled at first, then burst into mocking laughter. "With that round body of yours, you dare claim to be Thor? Thor has eight-pack abs. What do you have?"
"Exactly. Don’t think you can pretend to be Thor just by making a few sparks. Though we Frost Giants are enemies with Thor, we admire his bravery. As for you, you are just a ball."
Fat Thor flew into a rage and lifted his axe, preparing to charge in by force. At that moment, a Frost Giant ran out and said, "Her Majesty the Queen requests your presence."
"Since when did the Frost Kingdom have a Queen?"
Fat Thor was somewhat surprised, but he then swaggered into the palace without any fear of being surrounded and attacked—not because he was confident in his strength, but because the thought had never even occurred to him.
Looking at Fat Thor entering the hall, Loki was not as happy as she had imagined. Instead, she felt a little heartache. Lifting her skirt, she walked down, touched Fat Thor’s face, and asked, "How much hardship have you suffered? How exhausted and how guilty are you?"
Fat Thor did not avoid Loki’s hand, because he was stunned by her appearance. Why did this woman look so much like his younger brother?
After hearing Loki’s words, Fat Thor nearly burst into tears for some reason. He truly was exhausted and guilty. If he had not been so useless, so many people would not have died, and Asgard would not have been destroyed.
Fat Thor took a deep breath and asked Loki, "Who are you?"
"I am Laufey’s daughter, Queen of the Frost Giants."
Loki stepped back and said solemnly, "I can sense that you possess tremendous power. Who are you? Stop impersonating Thor. Thor is not as… sturdy as you."
"I am Thor."
Fat Thor was somewhat dissatisfied. No wonder she looked so familiar—she was Loki’s sister. He said, "Forget it, let’s not talk about that. Lend me a spaceship so I can return to Earth. I will repay you double afterward."
"We Frost Giants have plenty of spaceships, but why should I lend one to you?"
Loki turned and returned to her throne. Then, she waved everyone else away and continued, "However, if you can help me with one matter, I will lend you a spaceship."
Fat Thor asked, "What matter?"
Loki said, "A few days ago, a group of Ravagers infiltrated the Frost Kingdom and stole a treasure. I want you to go capture them with me."
"The universe is so vast. Where are we supposed to find them?"
Fat Thor asked suspiciously, "And besides, a matter like this does not require you, the Queen, to act personally, does it?"
"That treasure is extremely important. I must handle this personally, and this matter cannot be known by anyone else."
Loki said, "Also, I know where those people are. We can make a quick trip of it and settle this in one day."
"One day?"
Fat Thor readily agreed. "Fine. I’ll help you deal with those thieves, then you give me the spaceship."
"Good. We will depart immediately."
Loki smiled, but inwardly she sighed. Sure enough, he was still that foolish older brother.
During the events of "Thor 3," Thor’s intelligence had improved considerably, but five years of decadence had lowered it again, to the point where it was even worse than before.
Not long after Loki and Fat Thor left, a powerful consciousness swept across the entire Frost Kingdom. It took a long while before it withdrew. The Frost Giants trembled in terror. What kind of being had just descended? It was far too terrifying. On Earth, Wang Bert, who had finished putting on his act, said, "Done. Odin, stop looking so worried. I already told you Thanos is making moves because he wants to learn about Future Time-Space."
"I’m not worried about Thanos. I’m worried about the person who took Thor away."
Odin said gravely, "To take Thor away right under our noses, that person must at least be an Ancient God."
"Relax, not an Ancient God."
Wang Bert smiled and said, "A Creator God."
"Damn it."
Odin could not help swearing. How was he supposed to relax after hearing that? "Was it the Goddess of Death?"
Hela could not help asking, "That death aura earlier was incredibly pure, even purer than mine. Other than the Goddess of Death, one of the Five Creator Gods, I cannot think of anyone else."
"Most likely. I have always suspected that the Goddess of Death stands behind Thanos. That is why I did not immediately move against him."
Wang Bert said, "After this test, I can now be certain that the Goddess of Death truly stands behind Thanos."
Odin frowned deeply. "That is troublesome. Although the Goddess of Death will not act personally, as long as she is there, Thanos will never die, and he will only grow stronger."
"That is why I want to try transferring Thanos to another time-space and killing him there."
Wang Bert said, "Even then, Thanos may not die. The strength of a Creator God is far beyond our imagination."
Odin shook his head and said, "Moreover, the risk is enormous. Blood God, once Thanos gets the Infinity Gauntlet, a single snap from him could erase even the universe."
"Relax, I am prepared."
Wang Bert said. Since he dared to set up this plan, he was confident of winning.
Hela said hopefully, "Master, restore my powers, and I will help you."
Wang Bert looked at Hela and smiled. "Hela, whether your powers are restored is not up to me. It is up to your old father."
Hela glared at Odin and Wang Bert, then turned and stormed off. It seemed there was no hope of restoring her powers anytime soon.
"Since that is the case, I will not say more."
Although Odin disliked Wang Bert, he trusted his abilities. Thinking of something, he held out his hand to Wang Bert. "Give the Infinity Gauntlet back to me. I need it."
"I cannot return it yet. We can discuss it later."
Wang Bert immediately changed the subject. He asked, "Odin, Loki’s gaze when she left was very sinister. I suspect she wants to do something to Thor."
Odin withdrew his hand with an unsurprised expression and said, "That child probably wants to play another prank. It is not a big deal."
"It really is not a big deal? Do not forget, she is a woman now, Thor is a man, and he is a shut-in who has not touched a woman in five years."
Wang Bert chuckled. "Odin, perhaps you will be holding a grandchild very soon."
"No way?"
Odin was dumbfounded, nearly tearing out his beard. If that really happened, should he be happy or furious?…
Seven days later, Fat Thor held Stormbreaker aloft and swore to the heavens, "I truly am Thor, Thor from Future Time-Space. Believe me. I will take responsibility for you."
This idiot. Once Thanos is dealt with, I’ll definitely send that video to everyone else.
Loki secretly laughed. Fat Thor was far too easy to fool; a single illusion had solved everything. Wearing a sulky expression, she said, "If you do not want to take responsibility for me, then forget it. There is no need to tell such absurd lies."
The events of those seven days were simple enough: the two went to find the Ravagers, encountered danger, became trapped together, lived and died side by side, sparks flew, and they made vows of eternal love… It was a very clichéd routine, but Fat Thor had fallen for it.
The reason was not only that Fat Thor was rather foolish, but also that he had an extremely favorable impression of Loki. After all, she was his younger brother whom he had spent a thousand years with.
"I really am Thor. Wait, I have a way to prove it. Only Thor can lift Thor’s Hammer. I will summon Thor’s Hammer here immediately."
Fat Thor had a terrible headache. A moment later, he came up with a good idea, raised his hand, and made a hammer-gripping gesture.
"It’s coming. The good show is about to begin."
Loki’s eyes were filled with the triumphant delight of a prank succeeding. What came next would definitely be very entertaining.
