Lottery props

In the game, Chen Mo continued to control his character, crawling toward the safe zone. As the circle shrank, he successfully crawled inside.

"Big Brother Buyu, what should we do next?" A voice asked again through the microphone.

"Keep crawling forward. We haven't spotted the enemies yet, so let's not expose ourselves."

Chen Mo's eyes were tense; having finally made it to the final circle, he had to be extra careful.

After a while, the poison circle finished shrinking, and the new circle appeared—the final circle. They were lucky to still be inside, while the only housing area in the previous circle had been excluded.

"Big Brother Buyu, we're in the center of the circle. Should I go to the highest point to cover us?" The voice came through the microphone again.

"No need. We'll just wait here. Let's wait until we confirm the enemies' locations before we make a move…"

Chen Mo was halfway through his sentence when he noticed two figures appearing in the housing area that had been excluded from the circle.

"Big Brother Buyu, should we engage?" Someone else asked.

"No, they're too far away, and they have cover. Let's wait for them to come out before we attack."

Chen Mo shook his head, his gaze locked tightly on the two people in the housing area.

Soon, he saw the two figures disappear behind the houses, and then a car sped out from behind the buildings, heading straight toward them.

Chen Mo lay behind a tree, his gaze fixed on the approaching vehicle and the two people inside.

The vehicle quickly closed the distance and finally stopped right where they were prone.

In that instant, silence fell over the microphone, followed immediately by a burst of gunfire.

The two people who had just stepped out of the vehicle were instantly riddled with bullets, and a stream of cursing erupted over the team microphone.

"Damn it, these campers."

"Sneaky bastards! A full squad of four, and you're still playing like snakes in the grass? I'm done!"

Chen Mo ignored the cursing coming over the all-chat, looking at the "First Place" title with a joyful expression.

He had finally taken first place. Was this the fifth time, or the sixth?

Chen Mo felt joyful as he quickly entered the results screen.

Buyu: Kills 0, Damage: 10…

"General Manager Chen, here are today's documents for your review." Just as he entered the team lobby, Shen Rou walked over with a folder.

A voice came from the team lobby, "Big Brother Buyu, let's go again! Next round, let me wear that outfit, okay?"

Hearing this, Chen Mo typed a message stating he wouldn't be playing anymore, then exited the game.

He then picked up the documents Shen Rou had placed on his desk. After a quick flip through, he saw they were basically just daily reports for the Group.

Huh? Is the sports meet starting soon?

Chen Mo checked the date and realized it was already the 20th. The sports meet was on the 22nd—the day after tomorrow.

Because the Group had grown and the number of employees kept increasing, this sports meet would last for two days.

Of course, he didn't care about the duration, but rather the prizes. The top three prizes were cars worth 100,000.

As long as he participated in the lucky draw at this sports meet, 100,000 yuan would be his.

Thinking of this, Chen Mo smiled slightly. He flipped through the rest of the documents, found nothing that required special attention, and tossed them aside.

"General Manager Chen, there will be an opening speech by you before the sports meet begins. I've drafted a speech; would you mind taking a look? If it's not suitable, I can write another one."

Seeing that General Manager Chen had finished reviewing the documents, Shen Rou pulled out a speech draft and handed it to him.

An opening speech! Chen Mo paused when he heard Shen Rou's words, but he quickly recalled the documents he'd just read and realized there was indeed such a segment.

He reached out and took the draft from Shen Rou. He opened it and glanced at it, his brows instantly furrowing. It wasn't that the speech was poorly written, but rather that it was far too long.

It was a dense, single page, and when he flipped through it, he saw two more pages underneath. The entire speech was nearly 4,000 words long. If he had to read all that, it would take him at least 20 minutes.

He thought for a moment, then looked up at Shen Rou. "Forget about the speech draft."

"General Manager Chen, is there something wrong with it? I can revise it." Hearing his words, Shen Rou instantly became nervous, worried that he was dissatisfied with her capabilities.

"No need to revise it. I'll just improvise when I get on stage; there's no need to prepare a speech."

Chen Mo waved his hand. His ultimate goal in attending the sports meet was the lucky draw. As for the speech, he could just say a few words when he got on stage. He was the president of the Group; even if he spoke off the cuff, who would dare to object?

"Understood, General Manager Chen." Shen Rou felt ashamed. With General Manager Chen's capabilities, why would he ever need her to prepare a speech? She had truly overstepped.

"Glad you understand. By the way, have the lottery props for this time been prepared?"

Chen Mo leaned back in his chair, bringing up the matter he cared about most.

"General Manager Chen, General Manager Wei hasn't prepared any lottery props this time."

"No lottery props? Then how are we supposed to hold the draw!"

"Oh, because there are so many people attending this Group sports meet, General Manager Wei felt that if we did the draw like we did before, it would be too troublesome. So, he had the company's technical department develop an internal lucky draw mini-program. Everyone just needs to download it, and the draw will be handled through the mini-program."

Shen Rou explained the situation. With thousands of people attending this sports meet, doing the draw the old way would be far too time-consuming and labor-intensive.

Chen Mo was stunned by her answer.

Replacing the old draw with an electronic mini-program? That wouldn't do at all! If he did that, how could he rig the results? If he couldn't rig the draw, how was he going to win the 100,000 grand prize?

Chen Mo rubbed his temples. He hadn't expected that guy Wei Yan to pull something like this. Thankfully, he had asked out of curiosity just now; if he'd waited until the actual draw, it would have been impossible to rig it.

After thinking for a moment, he looked up at Shen Rou. "Developing a mini-program for the draw isn't a good idea. Go call Wei Yan."

"Understood, General Manager Chen." Shen Rou nodded and walked out of the office.

A while later, Wei Yan knocked and entered. "General Manager Chen, do you have other arrangements regarding the lucky draw?"

"Sit down first." Chen Mo gestured to the chair in front of his desk. Once Wei Yan was seated, he spoke slowly, "Your plan to use a mini-program for the draw is not appropriate."

"But General Manager Chen, if we continue to use the previous method, given how many people are attending the sports meet now, the draw will likely be very chaotic." Wei Yan voiced his concerns.
