Magic-Martial School
There had never been gods descending from the heavens—only mortals who stepped forward.
At this moment, those words were perfectly embodied.
The American military abandoned its own people and fled without hesitation, while the ones who stepped forward were ordinary people from another nation.
In China today, the vast majority of people had mastered powers beyond those of ordinary humans. Every Chinese citizen possessed a physique and strength no weaker than Thor’s.
Whether they wielded Thunder Force or Ice Force, Chen Mu had largely achieved his goal of making "everyone a dragon."
Chen Mu’s ambitions were no longer limited to this one world. Knowing of the multiverse, he naturally had not forgotten the goal the system had originally given him.
To lead China across all heavens and worlds onto the path of great rejuvenation!
Simply bringing China in this one world to the pinnacle of the world was naturally not enough to satisfy Chen Mu.
With the arrival of these "ordinary Chinese citizens," the battle finally began to turn around. The grotesque and terrifying Outriders were directly suppressed around their ships, unable to break through at all.
"Who are these people?"
Inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. base, Nick Fury was utterly dumbfounded.
He had just been cursing the American military for its shamelessness as he watched them retreat across the board, completely forgetting what kind of organization S.H.I.E.L.D. itself was.
But now, seeing these Chinese people step forward and display such tremendous power, he was left speechless.
Where had these people come from?
"Report, Director. According to the information we found, these people were either tourists visiting America, business travelers, or people here to visit friends…"
Hill anxiously searched through the records, but the information she found was incredibly difficult for her to believe.
"All available information indicates that they are ordinary Chinese citizens. They all entered the country through legitimate procedures…"
"Ordinary people?! You’re telling me these people are ordinary people?!"
Nick Fury shouted furiously, baring his teeth. "With power like that, you’re telling me they’re ordinary people?"
Just those people wielding electricity—who among them was weaker than Thor?
And you’re telling me they’re ordinary people? Do you believe that yourself?
"Though it’s hard to believe, all the records indicate that they really are ordinary Chinese citizens."
Hill looked equally incredulous. Though she did not want to believe it, every piece of information showed that these people truly were ordinary people!
"Unless they all became like this recently…"
Hill frowned and voiced her guess.
"According to the records, during this period, most Chinese citizens have visited their capital. Combined with previous intelligence, China has been carrying out some kind of modification on its citizens. I suspect…"
"You suspect that China’s so-called modification is what gave these ordinary people such unimaginable power?"
Nick Fury could not help forming the same suspicion.
Because when all the intelligence was put together, that seemed to be the only explanation.
"China has mastered the secret of human evolution, yet selfishly keeps it to itself!"
Nick Fury gritted his teeth and said hatefully, "The Chinese are simply too shameless!"
"Investigate. Use our last informants in China. I want information on China’s modifications. I want to know whether this is real!"
Nick Fury knew his own limits. With S.H.I.E.L.D.’s current resources in China, stealing the modification technology was obviously impossible. His goal was simple: he only needed to confirm whether the modifications were real.
First, he had to verify whether this was true. As for whether they could obtain the technology, they could look for an opportunity later…
"Director, this is bad! More alien ships have appeared!"
Hill looked worried again. She pointed at the monitor, where several more Outrider transport ships suddenly burst from the enormous portal and sped toward the streets of New York.
One Outrider troop carrier had already left the American military helpless and fleeing in disarray. Now there were another five troop carriers? This was practically leaving no one any way to survive!
"What does the military say?"
Nick Fury frowned at the sight. Now was not the time to focus on China’s modification program.
"There has been no response yet, but it seems the military is discussing the possibility of using nuclear weapons."
Hill reported honestly.
"Hasn’t China’s Space Force arrived to provide support yet?"
Nick Fury could not help asking. He did not actually want the American military to use nuclear bombs now.
Not to mention that most of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s forces were still in New York—truthfully, Nick Fury was extremely covetous of those alien ships. He was even looking forward to using every means possible to acquire a few after the war and study them properly. Perhaps S.H.I.E.L.D.’s power could make tremendous progress because of them!
Good grief, even at a time like this, Nick Fury was still thinking about how to strengthen his own forces.
"They should be on their way. After all, it takes time to get here…"
Another five troop carriers flew out of the portal. Although Chen Mu and the others stopped two of them, three still landed on the ground.
More Outriders surged out like a tidal wave. Everyone’s expressions changed, and even these "ordinary people" from China felt enormous pressure.
"What do we do next?"
Captain America was nearly despairing. One troop carrier had already forced them to use every method they had. Now three more had landed? This was driving them into a dead end!
"We are Chinese citizens. I believe China’s military will not stand by and do nothing!"
Long Tao Bing took a deep breath and said solemnly, "I’ve already called the embassy for help. I believe China’s military will definitely come save us!"
This was faith. Long Tao Bing believed it without the slightest doubt.
Not just him—the Chinese people around him felt the same way, their faces full of trust in China’s military.
"Until then, all we need to do is hold on!"
Captain America said nothing. He wanted to point out that China was separated from America by the Pacific Ocean. How could they get here so easily?
But then he remembered that the Chinese seemed to possess portal technology. Perhaps that distance was not much of a problem after all?
Still, that was right. No matter what, they had to hold on!
"Get ready! Everyone, use lightning with me!"
As more Outriders rushed toward them, everyone stood ready to attack. Just as they were about to strike, portals opened before them, and countless attacks shot through the portals at the Outriders on the other side.
Wind, fire, thunder, lightning—magic attacks of every kind filled the air in a dazzling display.
Captain America was stunned once more. What was all this? He had slept for seventy years, so why did it feel as though the entire world had changed genres?
After those portals appeared, figures began stepping out of them one after another.
They were all young Chinese people, seemingly only sixteen or seventeen years old, dressed in China’s distinctive school uniforms like a group of students.
Well, they really were students.
They came from China’s Magic-Martial School.
"Big brother, I didn’t bring shame upon China." A smug-looking young man appeared before Long Tao Bing, puffed out his chest, and spoke proudly.
