Mana Weapons
"Still, each one counted. After all, this was power comparable to Superman’s."
Having figured that out, Chen Mu stopped dwelling on it and began organizing the Eternals’ abilities he had previously analyzed.
The entire Eternal race had actually been created by the Celestials, and their various abilities had likewise been bestowed upon them through Celestial means.
Now, Chen Mu had also discovered and mastered this method of using energy from Kingge.
The Eternals’ power originated from their use of cosmic energy. Different methods of circulation determined different abilities.
Kingge’s ability was to fire cosmic energy like bullets, a highly advanced application of cosmic energy.
"So, as long as someone can use cosmic energy and circulate it this way, they can fire energy bullets like Kingge?"
Chen Mu extracted the technique behind the energy circulation circuits in Kingge’s body and studied it repeatedly with curiosity.
Wasn’t this something like magic?
"If cosmic energy is circulated this way, it can be fired out with tremendous power. This can be used in weapons."
As long as energy was circulated in a specific way, a certain kind of force could be produced.
And if this circulation circuit were installed in some sort of machine, that machine would naturally possess the same effect.
At present, Chen Mu had mastered only the energy circulation circuit from Kingge’s body. It could amplify the power of energy before firing it out.
Simply put, this circuit could only be used to create something similar to a firearm.
"Then let’s give it a try."
He immediately got to work. Chen Mu went to his workbench, picked up various materials, and began forging.
Chen Mu had analyzed firearms before, so he understood their structure and principles very clearly. Using the machine tools, he quickly made the rough form of a gun.
"Although I analyzed cosmic energy from Kingge, capturing it is still somewhat troublesome. Since I only need energy, why not try other kinds of energy directly?"
Chen Mu’s system was extremely powerful, but it could only serve as an aid and had its limitations.
Only technology Chen Mu had seen, or even touched, could be reverse-analyzed by the system. It would then transmit all of its technical principles into his mind, allowing him to master them quickly.
But cosmic energy was not something that could be produced by machines. It had existed naturally between heaven and earth from the start.
Even the Eternals merely drew upon it from the surrounding space. The strength of the power they could unleash depended entirely on how much cosmic energy they could call upon.
Since Chen Mu currently had no machine capable of capturing cosmic energy, he naturally planned to substitute it with another kind of energy.
And the most common form of energy was, of course, electricity.
"However, if electrical energy works, that means I can use Arc Reactor energy directly as well."
If he remembered correctly, the Arc Reactor had been created by imitating the energy of the Tesseract. Arc Reactor energy was actually quite high-grade. He wondered which was stronger, it or cosmic energy.
"I’ll test it with batteries first. Using high-capacity batteries will also show how many times it can be used."
Using a special metal capable of conducting energy as the energy transmission circuit, Chen Mu quickly engraved an energy circuit similar to the one inside Kingge’s body onto the gun.
Then Chen Mu directly connected a battery to the gun in his hand.
This was a prototype gun, so it looked strange. It did not even resemble a proper firearm.
But there was no denying that it was indeed a highly dangerous weapon.
"Then let’s test it."
After casually attaching a grip to the gun, Chen Mu went to an open area of the laboratory and aimed the muzzle at a distant metal target.
He pulled the trigger. A blue glow rapidly gathered at the muzzle before shooting out, striking the target in an instant and bursting into a fairly powerful flash.
This was pure electrical energy, so its destructive power was not particularly high.
Of course, because it was purely electrical energy, it also had the effect of paralyzing the target.
"Still, this would be pretty useful when equipped. If someone got hit by this thing, they’d probably be paralyzed all over immediately, right?"
It would not kill them, but being struck by the electric plasma would not feel good. Under normal circumstances, they would basically be shocked unconscious.
"It could definitely be issued to the police. It would be highly effective for subduing petty criminals."
After all, the bullets fired by this stun gun were plasma condensed from electrical energy, and their firing speed was extremely fast. They moved like lightning, far faster than ordinary bullets.
It was perfectly suited for subduing criminals.
"This thing can be mass-produced and given to the police in the future. But what if it charges energy?"
This gun did not only have a rapid-fire mode. Like Kingge, it could also condense energy, compress it, and fire it out with even greater force.
"Let’s try the charged-energy mode."
After adjusting the gun, Chen Mu picked it up again and fired at the target.
This time, the gun did not immediately fire a bullet. Instead, it gathered energy at the muzzle for a moment.
Deep-blue electrical energy converged at the muzzle, and vast amounts of energy rolled continuously there like liquid.
"Boom."
After charging for about two seconds, Chen Mu released the trigger. The condensed plasma slammed directly into the target, erupting in a violent explosion. Once the intense, blinding blue light faded, Chen Mu looked toward the target.
The metal target had actually been melted through, leaving a huge hole.
"Damn, this is a plasma cannon!"
Chen Mu could not help clicking his tongue in amazement at the terrifying attack this small weapon could unleash using ordinary electrical energy.
At the same time, he felt somewhat pleased with himself.
This was the first weapon he had truly developed independently. He had not relied on the system, only on the knowledge it had provided, and had made it himself.
Chen Mu felt a strong sense of accomplishment.
"Just high-energy batteries can produce this much power? Then what kind of effect would higher-grade energy have?"
Energy had different levels. Electrical energy was probably among the lowest-grade forms of energy, while the cosmic energy used by the Eternals was certainly much stronger.
"Electrical energy can also be replaced by other forms of energy. Still, this energy circulation circuit resembles the magic from legends. Whether in novels or films, casting magic seems to require drawing certain magic circuits. That’s the principle behind magic arrays."
Then could this weapon, made with energy circuits as its core, be considered a mana weapon personally crafted by Chen Mu?
This kind of weapon was incredibly powerful, far stronger than ordinary firearms currently in use. And it did not have any logistical problems either.
It only needed energy to be used freely.
Leaving aside other high-grade energies, wasn’t electricity something that could be found everywhere?
Future weapons would no longer need to worry about bullets. They could simply be charged like phones.
