Moral Dilemma, What Was That Again?

"Stop! Who are you?"

A black-haired boy sensed the fear and wails of the spirits in this space. He swiftly flew up to the rooftop and saw Bai Cangshu standing there with his palms pressed together, summoning a raging wind.

The black-haired boy wore a student uniform, and there was even a student name tag on his chest, neatly bearing the name Ritsu Kageyama.

Bai Cangshu recognized him the moment he opened his eyes, further confirming the true nature of this place.

The so-called Spirit World Evil Lord, ???, had not completely lost his sanity.

He was hiding something, and he was plotting something…

"Shōnen, younger brother of Shigeo Kageyama, if it’s convenient, could you tell me what exactly your brother intends to do?"

Bai Cangshu had no intention of canceling his ability. He could already sense that some spirits which had long dwelled in his Consciousness Sea were beginning to lose control over the stability of their spirit forms.

Bai Cangshu continuously activated his trait, drawing those spirit forms back into his body.

My body isn’t a container you can enter and leave whenever you please…

Other than special individuals like Satoru Gojo and Uchiha Madara, most evil spirits had not yet provided Bai Cangshu with enough "use." How could he possibly let his own "tenants" leave as they pleased?

Bzzzz~

A hurricane began sweeping through the Spirit World. The next moment, one of the faint, unstable spirit forms behind Bai Cangshu vanished into his body.

You have absorbed a weakened spirit

Ritsu Kageyama panicked at the sight. He took two steps forward and raised both hands, as though preparing to use his ability.

"You can’t do this! That person won’t be able to rest in peace. He’ll wander the Spirit World forever!"

"Let him out! As long as he enters that divine kingdom…"

Ritsu Kageyama grabbed at Bai Cangshu with both hands. Telekinesis emerged, but Bai Cangshu merely lowered his center of gravity and completely ignored the not-so-powerful force.

"Shōnen, for your brother’s sake, you should cherish this hard-won chance to survive…"

Ritsu Kageyama’s hair suddenly stood on end. He felt an intense malice.

Like a Grudge Spirit, a savage will continuously radiated from the tall man before him.

Ritsu Kageyama clenched his fists, but he did not dare attack again.

Last time, it was his own impulsiveness that got him and his family killed, that made his brother become like this in the end…

Ritsu Kageyama gritted his teeth, not knowing what to do for a moment.

Just how powerful was Tatsumaki at full strength? Merely standing outside the Spirit World and watching the boundless desert rise and fall like an ocean was enough for Bang to roughly understand.

It was almost the absolute limit of human power he could imagine.

Only now did Bang gain a little more understanding of why the Hero Association had previously classified Tatsumaki as a potential above-Dragon threat.

Once such unmatched violence lost control, it would become an irreversible disaster for the human world.

Within that tiny body lay the power to kill hundreds of thousands in an instant.

As Bang pondered this, he reset Charanko’s dislocated joints one by one.

Hunched over, he looked at his equally astonished older brother and sighed.

"Big brother, it seems we really can’t keep up with this era anymore…"

He and Bomb were both powerful, yet they could not take part in Tatsumaki’s battle against that person.

Nor could they understand what Skylark’s miraculous power was, or what exactly had happened to their disciple Charanko—why his personality had suddenly changed so drastically, and why he had suddenly returned to normal.

Everything had happened too quickly. It made him feel that only two or three years after leaving the Hero Association, the world had already become something he could no longer understand.

"Oh, you’re that… what was it again?"

Saitama’s voice came from nearby. At first, his tone rose with what seemed like surprise, but it quickly turned awkward.

He had a good impression of this white-haired old man. Though the man had been a little sore about losing when they played games and would cheat afterward.

Still, he was genuinely generous and often brought him high-quality ingredients. He had been one of the main sponsors of the previous gathering at Saitama’s home.

Saitama was happy to meet an old acquaintance again, but he realized that he had forgotten the man’s name.

Seeing Saitama, whose talent and strength were both terrifying, Bang rarely showed a smile.

He did not mind Saitama’s "rudeness." He nodded at Saitama and Genos, then nodded at Fubuki as she got out of a car behind them.

Fubuki felt slightly better upon seeing Bang, but she quickly asked anxiously,

"My sister… did Tatsumaki come here?!"

Fubuki did not understand what had happened in that battle. J City had been completely destroyed. Judging from the ruins, half had been crushed apart by her sister’s devastating telekinesis, while the other half had been entirely swallowed by the Spirit World.

The horrifying casualty count made Fubuki afraid of what her sister might have encountered.

Though Tatsumaki the Terror’s battles had always been terrifying to behold, Fubuki knew very well that her sister was a true hero.

Her arrogance and violence were only ever truly directed at those who could withstand them.

For instance, she knew Zombieman possessed an Immortal Body and that Genos had a mechanical body, so she would go a little "overboard" when attacking them.

But when facing weak ordinary people, she would restrain her strength.

She was absolutely not some terrifying person who would destroy half a city and kill hundreds of thousands just to defeat an enemy.

Bang pointed at the torn entrance to the Spirit World and sighed.

"Tatsumaki chased that black fellow in there."

Fubuki immediately floated into the air and flew toward the entrance to the Spirit World.

Lilith wanted to stop her, but when she opened her mouth, she could not think of anything to say. In the end, she could only turn devoutly to Saitama for help once more.

"Mr. Saitama, could you please…"

Saitama scratched his head and was about to go in.

But Genos suddenly frowned as he received another message.

"Master… those two people we let go earlier appear to be attacking the city on a massive scale…"

Flames erupted beneath Genos’s feet. He did not sense anything wrong and simply said to Saitama,

"Master, I’ll capture those two and come right back."

With that, he prepared to take off.

But Red Dust, who had shamelessly followed them over, was thinking unusually quickly at that moment. He immediately stopped him.

"Don’t go. It’s a trap!"

The several heroes immediately turned their gazes toward him.

Red Dust knew that if he said the wrong thing now, his reputation with the hero faction would likely plummet. But he had already completely fallen out with the Sage, and there was no way he could return to His Excellency’s faction.

Therefore, he could only cling tightly to the Plot Characters faction—Saitama.

"There’s a very high chance they deliberately intend to make an issue out of the two people Mr. Saitama let go."

"They want to exploit the fact that Mr. Saitama doesn’t kill people and make him shoulder some… moral dilemma."

He was considering his words, but Bang immediately understood.

When he had been young, he had been arrogant and overbearing, committing many mistakes. He understood this sort of thing well.

After analyzing things based on Red Dust’s information, everyone frowned.

They were now caught in a dilemma. If they ignored that side, those two would likely continue committing murders, then claim that Saitama had been the one to let them go.

But if they went, they might very well walk into a trap and be surrounded.

Saitama scratched his head, watching this group seemingly think something over on his behalf, but he could not figure out what exactly it was.

"Moral dilemma… what was that again?"
