World Destroyer Saitama

"Leave that guy… to me!"

Tatsumaki’s fury came with telekinesis that shook the Spirit World just as much. Feeling that terrifying supernatural power, no weaker than his own when he completely unleashed the force he had suppressed in his heart, Shigeo Kageyama felt only sorrow.

Humans were fragile, sorrowful creatures, liable to be swept into emotional whirlpools at any moment—whether it was himself or Miss Tatsumaki.

No matter how powerful a Supernatural Ability User was, they could not escape the shackles of humanity.

Or rather, the root of that power was humanity’s instability and unease.

Shigeo Kageyama raised both hands. Spiritual power howled forth, barely holding back the telekinetic storm and keeping the Spirit World from collapsing again.

"No one has touched your sister…"

He sensed the movements within the Spirit World. Having finally detected no further prying force, he spoke to explain.

But Tatsumaki only grew angrier.

"So you can still sense my sister’s existence, can’t you…"

Her hair stood on end strand by strand. Green radiance nearly swallowed her figure whole. The overwhelming telekinesis made her heart pound wildly—a sensation she had rarely experienced, one that had never appeared in her heart before.

So even I have limits…

Tatsumaki was a naturally powerful uncut gem, raw jade that became crystal-clear with only the slightest carving. The moment her abilities had begun to awaken, she had never encountered a real opponent again.

She had never needed to learn any supernatural techniques. To her, such things were instinctive.

She had never needed any supernatural training. With a wave of her hand, she could crush Dragon-level Monsters. With a little more effort, she could twist an entire city.

There were few things in this world she could not do.

She had never encountered anyone who required her to use her limits to defeat. Apart from the battle against the Monster Association, she had scarcely faced any effective resistance.

At this moment, Tatsumaki, in perfect health, wanted for the first time to unleash all her power while uninjured. She knew someone had laid hands on her sister.

She was beginning to lose her sense of Fubuki’s location, as though Fubuki had been erased from the world. If she had not constantly been using her psychic abilities to suggest to herself in her mind…

She probably would have already forgotten that her sister existed.

Tatsumaki’s expression darkened like still water. Her sister was her reverse scale. Whoever had done this, she would never forgive them.

"Please calm down, Miss Tatsumaki. The angrier you become, the closer you get to those people’s goal…"

"Don’t become like me."

Shigeo Kageyama’s tone was sorrowful. He had been unable to control his emotions, and although he had clearly sensed those people’s intentions, he had still been consumed by his feelings.

In the end, he had caused an irreparable tragedy.

"Ha~ Are you lecturing me, brat…?"

Tatsumaki floated forward through the Spirit World. The green glow of her supernatural power spread through the black-and-white world like dye, rapidly staining everything around her green.

She was learning the so-called spiritual power.

Even power of Shigeo Kageyama’s nature—if she wanted to, she could still learn it. In this world, she could become just as powerful as him!

Her voice radiated intense malice, and her spirit soared ever higher.

The next instant, she reached out and twisted her hand.

Shigeo Kageyama’s massive body was instantly caught by an invisible force. The two entered a direct contest of strength as chaotic radiance began to spread through the black-and-white world.

Even the Spirit World’s indestructible terrain began to change. Time and distance began to warp.

Tatsumaki flew high into the air, pressing both hands downward and gradually suppressing Shigeo Kageyama.

"Don’t think I’m some sniveling half-finished product like you!"

Tatsumaki shouted furiously, her momentum overwhelming Shigeo Kageyama in an instant. She had understood since childhood that she could rely only on herself, and that only power could save everything.

"You want me to fall into darkness?"

"Fine… Then they’d better be prepared to trade that for the death of everyone!"

At that moment, a gigantic emerald demonic silhouette appeared behind Tatsumaki. Feeling her terrifying power and even more resolute will, Shigeo Kageyama finally understood what he lacked…

If he had possessed such resolve half a year ago… then even if everyone in Seasoning City had suffered calamity, not everyone would have met with misfortune.

At the very least, he could have dealt with that guy…

"Miss Tatsumaki, go protect your sister while there’s still time…"

His body suddenly shrank, and the space of the Spirit World began to twist and overlap. In an instant, it was as though countless distances had been layered between him and Tatsumaki.

Shigeo Kageyama envied Tatsumaki’s strength and determination. A Supernatural Ability User like her might have a chance to change the future that belonged to her…

He abandoned his plan to kill her. At least before killing those two people, there was no need to fight Miss Tatsumaki to the death.

Tatsumaki tore apart the overlapping space with both hands, peeling back layer after layer. She could sense that when she had just chased inside, the person hiding her sister’s existence had appeared in the Spirit World for an instant.

She was unwilling to let that trail go.

Bang, crack!

The crisp breaking sound was as clean as glass being smashed.

Sunlight abruptly shone into the dark Spirit World, turning into brilliant colors that drifted through it.

It was not just sunlight. Windblown sand and the desert’s distinctive scorching heat appeared along with the Spirit World’s shattering.

A familiar bald head suddenly entered Tatsumaki’s sight.

He wore a ridiculous, shabby hero uniform, with a worn-out cape draped over his back.

"Oh, why are you here too, brat?"

Tatsumaki’s towering fury suddenly emptied out. It was as though, along with the Spirit World being smashed apart and the sunlight and sandstorm entering, something else had likewise broken in, unstoppable.

She blinked. Before she could curse that damned baldy for calling her a brat again, she saw the beautiful woman behind him, bedraggled but wearing an anxious expression.

That was her overly "rebellious" little sister!

Shigeo Kageyama, who had been turning to leave, suddenly froze in place. He turned back and saw the bald man in a yellow bodysuit standing at the Lands Between of the desert and the Spirit World with an unfamiliar expression.

His eyes were lifeless, lacking the eager demeanor Shigeo Kageyama remembered.

What was more, he could not sense even the faintest trace of power from him.

But… there was no mistake. This was that guy!

This was the man destined to destroy the world…

"I have to…"

Bzzzz!

The black-and-white Spirit World suddenly began to tremble. The twisted buildings vanished one after another, while the terrified shrieks of countless spirits came from the depths of the Spirit World.

But Shigeo Kageyama could no longer spare them any attention.

His sanity rapidly began to fade. The ??? hidden within him, excessively suppressed until it had become an indescribable force, surged up at once.

"Kill you!"

The Spirit World abruptly contracted. In the next instant, Tatsumaki was flung outside it, while a massive black hand rose from beneath the Spirit World’s ground, as though the entire Spirit World had clasped Saitama in its grip.

"Your Excellency, even if you can erase Fubuki from Tatsumaki’s awareness, Tatsumaki may not necessarily fall into darkness. How exactly is the Black King Project supposed to proceed…?"

Tree Herder still did not understand how the Black King Project was meant to be carried out.

Eternal Destiny sat in the room, lowering his head as he played with a handheld game console. He generously explained that precious information.

"The Black King’s true meaning is the king of a world who has lost everything."

"In this world, there has only ever been one person qualified to become the Black King."

"I never said that the Black King who loses the world must have that world taken away by us Reincarnators…"

"Some people will destroy it themselves~"
