Mountain Breaker Strike

Bai Cangshu’s laughter made Kibutsuji Muzan frown. It sensed something unusual.

The human before it radiated an alien aura. When it mentioned immortality, the other man’s heartbeat, pulse, and breathing did not fluctuate in the slightest.

Muzan did not even glance at Hirohito’s corpse on the ground. Although he had been a decent collaborator—greedy and foolish—Muzan had disliked the look in his eyes, as though an insect were staring at succulent flesh.

"Power, beauty, immortality, authority—whatever you desire, I can grant it to you."

Plot Character · Kibutsuji Muzan invites you to join his faction. Do you accept?

Muzan offered conditions even more generous than Hirohito’s, and even the Infinite Dimensional Space had issued a prompt.

Clearly, the Infinite Dimensional Space offered considerable freedom. Kibutsuji Muzan truly had no so-called principles or bottom line. It did not care how many of its demons Bai Cangshu had killed, nor did it care about its so-called collaborators.

It was genuinely inviting Bai Cangshu to join its faction.

Bai Cangshu looked at Muzan, who had inexplicably "grown wiser" in this Derivative World yet remained exactly as vile as ever. His eyes narrowed slightly as he tried to observe the other’s muscles and the force within them.

But the result was that Muzan’s body showed nothing unusual at this moment.

"Muzan, I want the lives of several Twelve Demon Moons."

"For reasons you do not know, their lives can increase my strength."

"Can you accept that?"

Muzan chuckled. It had thought the demand would be something harsh.

"The lives of the Twelve Demon Moons? Of course."

Its words showed that it did not care about its subordinates’ lives in the slightest.

Bai Cangshu nodded and smiled as well.

"Then I’ll take Miss Nakime. I quite like her ability."

Bai Cangshu raised a finger, causing Nakime to pause, but she showed no other reaction.

Bai Cangshu pointed at Nakime, yet his gaze remained fixed on Muzan’s expression.

Sure enough, Kibutsuji Muzan in this world did not display that mindless behavior.

"Human, Nakime is not one of the Twelve Demon Moons."

The smile faded from its face, and its gaze turned cold.

Muzan was not stupid. It had always sensed the malice emanating from the human before it, but it did not care about the malice of a mere insect.

It simply had not expected this lowly insect to set its sights on it.

The malicious look in the other’s eyes was a different kind of disgusting compared to Hirohito’s.

It was practically like pointing at Muzan’s nose and saying, You are my target. I want to kill you, and… I think I can kill you!

Kibutsuji Muzan lowered its eyelids, its face darkening. The humiliation of being coveted by an insect made its eyelids twitch incessantly.

The killing intent was simply impossible to contain.

Bai Cangshu sensed the increasingly intense killing intent coming from Kibutsuji Muzan. Rather than feeling afraid, he became even more delighted.

Holding the Blue Spider Lily, he took two steps forward and walked to the doorway.

At the boundary between sunlight and darkness, Bai Cangshu and Kibutsuji Muzan stared at each other across the dividing line between light and shadow.

Their eyes held undisguised killing intent and arrogance.

Clang!

The biwa was struck, and several figures instantly appeared inside the dark, windowless wooden house. Nakime’s figure was now completely blocked by several tall silhouettes.

Tap, tap, tap.

Footsteps sounded in the distance behind Bai Cangshu. Hirohito’s subordinates were finally about to arrive.

Bang!

Terrifying explosions rang out at the same time as the Professor and Elizabeth began using modern firearms to bombard those soldiers reorganized under military reform.

At the same time, Kyoto’s local conservative forces began frantically slaughtering the people Hirohito had left behind.

Bai Cangshu looked at the Main Mission’s faction balance. It had now reached 35%:65%. Kibutsuji Muzan’s faction had already been stronger than the Demon Slayer Corps faction.

Eliminating Hirohito had merely begun cutting away the additional forces Muzan had gained.

To complete the Main Mission, they either had to kill or wound Kibutsuji Muzan’s powerful subordinates, or continue strengthening contact between those conservative factions and the Demon Slayer Corps.

Bai Cangshu knew that, at this stage, the Professor and the others were probably already capable of completing the main mission on their own. After all, there were still more than twenty days left in this world—more than enough time for the Professor and Shintoism’s people to spread the news of Kibutsuji Muzan’s corruption of the government.

The conflict between humans and demons would then be brought into the open.

Given enough time, a player like the Professor, who excelled at uncovering storylines, might even forge another path—for example, uniting Japan’s armed forces, perhaps even with foreign weapons and equipment, to thoroughly suppress Kibutsuji Muzan’s forces.

But Bai Cangshu did not like that approach.

Bai Cangshu slowly opened his left hand around the Blue Spider Lily and extended it beyond the doorway, only a hair’s breadth away from the shadows.

A wicked smile hung on his face. Using the terrain and his own height advantage, he looked down at Muzan from above.

"Don’t you want it?"

"Kibutsuji Muzan."

"With this, you can completely rid yourself of sunlight’s weakness, can’t you?"

He spoke with a smile, like a rotten uncle teasing a child.

Kokushibo stepped forward from the darkness, one hand already resting on Kokushibo’s Blade.

Bai Cangshu’s attention was drawn to this powerful swordsman, and the teasing in his gaze toward Muzan lessened somewhat.

As Kokushibo stared at Bai Cangshu’s hand, a terrifyingly sharp aura arose.

It seemed that in the next second, he could sever Bai Cangshu’s hand with a single strike.

But Bai Cangshu did not blink, and his left hand did not tremble in the slightest.

If you can do it, then try, Kokushibo. Kokushibo read that message in the other man’s eyes.

Clang!

Another strum of the biwa rang out. Hunter felt the space before him shift, and in the next second, he appeared in a lightless room.

"Hunter, didn’t you say you would find the Blue Spider Lily for me? Now is the time to fulfill your promise."

Kibutsuji Muzan’s voice carried a chilling malice.

Hunter’s nightwear had already been torn apart, exposing his pitch-black skin.

After becoming a demon, fine black scales seemed to have grown across his body. His muscles bulged all over, his physique sleek and streamlined, combining both speed and strength.

His hair hung behind him like steel needles.

After obtaining the Man-eating Demon bloodline, Hunter’s rating had already reached Paper · Upper Rank and met the advancement requirements. His true strength had likely surpassed his rating; even weaker Lower Ranks were no match for him.

Yet before Muzan’s command, he did not even have the ability to resist.

He looked despairingly at "Mercenary Tao" beneath the sunlight, his trembling pupils filled with struggle.

"Go!"

At this moment, the reincarnator who had once stood high above, prepared to take whatever he wished in this low-difficulty world, had become an insect beneath a Plot Character’s feet.

Buzz!

Amid a heavy whoosh, several powerful Upper Ranks instantly vanished. Wielding a Claymore, Hunter suddenly shattered the door with a slash and flipped it into the air, blocking out the sunlight.

Akaza’s eyes lit up. This Hunter was not a fool; he truly had some talent.

Using the brief moment when the shadows covered Bai Cangshu, Hunter drove his feet down, instantly shattering the wooden floor.

Boom!

Hunter exploded forward at terrifying speed, appearing before Bai Cangshu like an afterimage. The raised Claymore came crashing down with blinding speed.
