Mutual Scheming
"Because Galactus is a defeated opponent of mine."
Wang Bert shouted at Original Sin, "Original Sin, you have no idea who you’re making an enemy of."
"Though your true body is the Creator God, you are ultimately just an avatar. I won’t let you leave."
Original Sin raised both hands, and countless chains flew out of the void, locking Galactus’s fist and preventing him from destroying the illusion.
Wang Bert smiled disdainfully. Galactus let out a roar, snapping every chain taut and breaking them all. Then, he raised his fist and slammed it down again.
Original Sin gritted his teeth. Endless Black Qi poured out from behind him, forming a gigantic pitch-black Angel. The black Angel then raised both hands and firmly blocked Galactus’s fist.
Original Sin’s heart bled. This Black Qi was his main harvest from this period of time. Once it was exhausted, the seal would gradually recover. In other words, all the effort he had put in during this time would go down the drain.
But Original Sin had no choice. He had to hold Wang Bert back—once Wang Bert’s consciousness returned, Azazel would have no chance of completing the sacrifice. Iron Man was simply too formidable.
"Let’s see how long you can keep blocking it."
Wang Bert snorted. Galactus increased his strength, and the black Angel’s knees gradually bent. His face was full of pain, and he was clearly close to collapsing.
Original Sin gritted his teeth and turned into a cloud of Black Qi, rushing into Wang Bert’s body. Wang Bert’s consciousness suddenly fell into darkness. When he regained his senses, he found that he had transmigrated into the Marvel World and become an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Original Sin had pulled Wang Bert into a dream. Within the dream, Wang Bert’s memories were sealed away, and everything began anew.
It was worth mentioning that this method was very dangerous. Once Wang Bert broke through the dream, Original Sin would suffer backlash.
Outside the New York branch of S.H.I.E.L.D., Wang Bert looked at the New York streets that should have been unfamiliar to him. For some reason, they felt incredibly familiar, as though he had lived here for many years.
"That shouldn’t be possible. I, Wang, have never even left the country. I’ve barely watched any documentaries about New York."
Wang Bert frowned slightly, instinctively feeling that something was wrong. At that moment, a female agent with an unbelievably amazing figure walked up to him and asked, "Bert, what are you spacing out for?"
"Maybe I didn’t sleep well."
Looking at the very real Black Widow before him, Wang Bert felt a little excited. Before transmigrating, he had been a Black Widow fan—well, a fan of her face and figure.
Black Widow smiled. "Didn’t you ask me to watch a movie with you last week? I happen to be free today. Let’s go check out the cinema together."
"Really?"
Wang Bert was overjoyed. After that, he somehow managed to win over the Widow whom countless people dreamed of having, as if he had cheats activated. Yet he was not particularly excited, because the sense of wrongness kept growing stronger.
"Would the Widow really be that easy to win over? More absurdly, she actually refused to use her body to seduce targets for my sake? No matter how I think about it, that isn’t scientific, is it?"
Wang Bert grumbled inwardly. Still, although it was unscientific, it felt pretty great. Such a gorgeous beauty loved him wholeheartedly and let him do whatever he wanted.
Next, Wang Bert met Iron Man Tony Stark. After some simple maneuvering, Tony became Wang Bert’s underling. Whatever Wang Bert told him to do, he did it. He even gave Wang Bert an Iron Man Armor.
"Though this is satisfying, is this really Tony Stark? How could that smug little guy who wears elevator shoes be this obedient?"
Wang Bert shook his head and continued living in the Marvel World.
The events that followed could be summed up in three sentences. Wang Bert got every beautiful woman who had appeared in the movies, such as Hill, Skye, and the others. Even more ridiculously, they all got along harmoniously without the slightest conflict.
Wang Bert gained countless underlings, such as Ant-Man, Spider-Man, Captain America, and so on.
Wang Bert killed every enemy, such as Loki, Malekith, Thanos, and so on.
In the end, Wang Bert became the ruler of Earth, able to get whatever he wanted.
"Hey, Original Sin, isn’t this dream a little too much?"
The sense of wrongness was simply too strong. Wang Bert woke up and complained, "It has no sense of reality at all. You should at least have given me some kind of cheat like a ‘protagonist halo’ or ‘kingly aura.’ Then it might barely be watchable."
The moment Wang Bert finished speaking, the dream shattered like glass. Original Sin flew out of Wang Bert’s body, his form covered in cracks like porcelain about to break apart.
"You are the Creator God, so I cannot peer into your memories. Therefore, I have no idea what you dreamed of."
Original Sin slowly said, "I merely magnified the desires in your heart and gave you everything you wanted."
"At least make it logical. This kind of routine stopped being popular ten years ago."
Wang Bert said, "Bad review. A huge bad review."
"Though the dream was not very good, reality is quite good. Iron Man, you lost."
Original Sin grinned. His spiritual body shattered, and Wang Bert’s consciousness returned to his body.
"Lost?"
Wang Bert snorted inwardly. He raised his head toward the sky and saw that all the runes on the Altar had lit up. Then, Azazel’s descendants all screamed at once as their souls flew uncontrollably out of their bodies and were swallowed by the Altar.
Wang Bert snorted and suddenly appeared beside Nightcrawler. With one palm strike, he sent Nightcrawler’s soul back into his body. Then, with a wave of his hand, Nightcrawler returned to Mutant Academy out of thin air.
"It’s useless, Iron Man. You’re already too late."
Greed laughed loudly. A large amount of Black Qi emerged from the Altar to replace Nightcrawler. Original Sin had clearly prepared for this long ago—this space had been sealed off by Wang Bert, and without Original Sin, Azazel could never have succeeded.
Having obtained enough energy, the Altar emitted a dazzling light. A pillar of light shot into the sky, opening a Space Vortex overhead.
On the other side of the Space Vortex was a desolate, barren world. As Earth’s aura spread into that world, the ground suddenly shook violently. Then, one withered figure after another crawled out of the earth.
A gaunt figure looked at the vortex in the sky and shouted in wild delight, "Earth’s aura! I can feel Earth’s aura!"
"That’s right, it’s Earth’s aura. We can go home."
The other Demon Type Mutants cried out excitedly. This world was desperately lacking in resources. To survive, they could only bury themselves underground and sleep. But all that was about to end. They were about to return to their resource-rich homeland, where everything they desired could be found.
"Home!" "Home!" "Home!"…
All the demons shouted those words together. Then, dragging their weakened bodies, they flew toward the Space Channel in incomparable excitement—they had slept for too long and could no longer use Teleportation.
"My people, you are finally returning."
Azazel threw everything he had into knocking Psylocke away. Then, he teleported to the entrance of the Space Vortex to welcome his kin.
Psylocke flipped through the air and landed steadily on the Green Goblin Glider. Her expression was extremely unpleasant. Azazel had actually succeeded after all.
At that moment, a figure appeared behind Azazel. With a light flick of a finger, a flash of spatial light swept past, slicing through Azazel’s neck with an incomparably smooth wound.
Azazel’s head fell from the sky, his eyes still holding the excitement from before. He had never imagined that he would be killed at the very moment of success.
"Success? Did you ask me first?"
Wang Bert snorted. He gathered a large amount of Space Energy in both hands, then thrust them forward forcefully. The Space Energy blasted into the Space Vortex and transformed into a black hole roughly half a meter across.
Disturbed by the black hole, the Space Vortex became utterly chaotic, with spatial cracks appearing everywhere around it.
"No!"
The demons let out desperate cries, but they did not stop. They still hurled themselves toward the Space Vortex with all their strength. They had endured thousands of years of suffering and did not want to endure it any longer.
At that moment, as streaks of Black Qi flashed past, all the demons exploded at once. Their flesh, blood, and souls formed a blood-black giant hand. The hand then smashed through the Spatial Black Hole, reached out of the Space Vortex, and tightly grasped Wang Bert in its palm.
Original Sin’s smug voice came from beyond the Space Vortex. "Iron Man, I finally caught you."
Wang Bert’s expression changed. He asked in a deep voice, "Your target was never the demons. Your target from beginning to end was me, wasn’t it?"
"Of course it wasn’t the demons. What are a thousand or so demons worth to someone like you, Iron Man?"
Original Sin said, "Azazel thought he could scheme against me, but he never knew that I had been scheming against him from the very beginning."
As he spoke, Original Sin pulled Wang Bert into the Space Vortex with all his strength. It was worth mentioning that Original Sin had already changed the coordinates of the Space Vortex. This Space Vortex now led to Hell.
Once Wang Bert was dragged into Hell, his time of death would arrive. Hell was Original Sin’s home ground.
"Iron Man!"
Seeing Iron Man captured, everyone was greatly shocked. Psylocke hurriedly controlled the Green Goblin Glider and flew toward Wang Bert. At that moment, an eye appeared before her, growing larger and larger until it enveloped her completely.
Psylocke continuously swung her longsword, trying to cut through the eye, but every blade of light appeared out of thin air and could not harm the eye in the slightest.
As for the others, they were blocked by Wrath, Human Torch, and the rest. Original Sin laughed again. "Iron Man, you’re dead for sure. Once I destroy this world, we can play slowly."
"Damn it, Original Sin, you’re too despicable."
Wang Bert roared. Original Sin did not care. At the fastest speed possible, he pulled Iron Man into Hell. Then, unlike other villains, he did not waste time talking. He directly controlled a mountain and smashed it toward Wang Bert. Poor Wang Bert was immediately crushed into pulp.
"Iron Man is dead. Who else in this world can stop me from destroying it?"
Original Sin shouted excitedly. At that moment, a voice suddenly rang out. "I finally know where Hell is."
Original Sin froze, then hurriedly looked toward Earth. He saw Wang Bert standing on the ground with a cold smile on his face.
"Iron Man is okay?"
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Sure enough, Iron Man was not so easily killed. He was Iron Man, after all.
Original Sin shouted in disbelief, "That was only an illusion?"
"No, it was an avatar, an avatar I created with a drop of blood. That drop of blood has completely merged into your Hell. Original Sin, wash your neck clean and wait obediently for me to kill you."
Wang Bert said with a smile. To kill Original Sin required two steps. First, find Hell. Second, go to Hell and kill him.
Now, the first step had been completed. As for the second, Wang Bert was still somewhat lacking in strength. He had to first deduce the Mutant Source to a higher level.
Uh, there was another way: rob America’s treasury and the Federal Reserve, then take several trillion dollars into Hell.
Several trillion US dollars would be enough to seal Original Sin completely. After all, he was already under a seal.
Original Sin shouted, "Why did you know about my arrangements?"
"Because I’m Iron Man."
Wang Bert smiled. "As long as I don’t die, no matter how many arrangements you make, they are useless. So, you would definitely find a way to kill me.
There are only two ways for you to kill me. One is to capture me and drag me into Hell. The other is to kill a large number of humans, break through part of the seal, and descend upon Earth.
There aren’t many humans here, so you definitely chose the first method: using the Altar and the demon race to capture me and drag me into Hell.
I happened to want to find out where Hell was, so I played along and let you bring the blood avatar back to Hell, forming a mark.
Original Sin, it isn’t that I held back. Did you really think Azazel could succeed? By the way, do you want to know just how much I held back?"
"Iron Man, I won’t let you go."
Original Sin roared and used his ability to take Greed, Wrath, Human Torch, and the remaining mutants and Evil Believers away.
"Dream on!"
Wang Bert took out a stack of Banknotes and shouted, "fifty million us dollars. Everyone stays."
Following Wang Bert’s voice, all the mutants and Evil Believers who had just vanished reappeared, falling to the ground with loud thuds. Meanwhile, the figures of the three envoys—Greed, Wrath, and Human Torch—flickered constantly in the void. Original Sin was clearly protecting them.
"Add another Fifty Million."
Wang Bert shouted again. Original Sin gritted his teeth and controlled Human Torch to transform into a massive blaze, crashing toward Iceman and the others like a meteorite.
Original Sin shouted, "Iron Man, once Human Torch explodes, all your people will die."
Wang Bert cursed and shouted, "Ten Million US Dollars, force Human Torch to revert to his original form."
The flames around Human Torch rapidly disappeared. Then, with a bang, he crashed onto the ground, kicking up a large cloud of dust.
Taking advantage of this chance, Original Sin disappeared with Greed and Wrath.
"Greed and Wrath must be preparing some major plan, or Original Sin wouldn’t have worked so hard to take them away."
Wang Bert’s gaze flickered. He walked up to Human Torch and sneered, "Isn’t this the Human Torch who wanted to become the leader of the Brotherhood and burn Iron Man to death? How did you end up so pathetic now?"
Human Torch ignored Wang Bert. He raised his head and roared in grief and indignation, "Doomsday Master, why have even you abandoned me?"
Iceman walked over to Human Torch, firmly placing both hands on his shoulders. He shouted, "John, Doomsday Master is not a good person. Come back to the academy with me. The professors have always been waiting for you. They truly never abandoned you."
"Can I still go back?"
Human Torch looked utterly lost. Iceman hurriedly said, "Of course you can. Human Torch, come home with me."
Human Torch seemed moved. He nodded and said, "Alright, I’ll go home with you."
"So touching, but for some reason, it feels kind of gay."
Wang Bert complained from the side. Iceman turned around at that and sincerely said, "Iron Man, Human Torch knows he was wrong. Please forgive him. I guarantee that he will change."
"To know one’s mistake and correct it is the greatest good."
Wang Bert smiled. Iceman’s face lit up with joy. Just as he was about to say something, Wang Bert suddenly raised his hand and pointed. A small black hole abruptly appeared, swallowing Human Torch’s head. Human Torch’s headless body fell to the ground, ignited in flames, and rapidly regenerated.
