No One Could Escape
"Holy Lance, unanchor."
It was calm, almost a whisper—more like a murmur.
In the sky behind Superman, the golden-haired Black King slowly descended from the heavens. Black-and-white steps continually extended beneath her feet as she walked down them toward the human world.
She extended her right hand forward. In the next instant, golden radiance pierced down from the sky and through the sea.
The Atlantic Ocean and the sky above it began to churn together.
The Holy Lance that pierced heaven and earth—Rhongomyniad—began to appear.
In that instant, Solomon coughed up blood with a muffled groan. Saint George Domain, the complete large-scale ritual he had spent multiple mission periods setting up across all of New York, shattered in an instant.
The holy power within the energy wings behind him began to collapse. The balance between light and darkness was broken, and the cycle of holiness and demonic power began to fail.
Yet he only held his head high, utterly unable to move.
Within those Jewel Mystic Eyes, which possessed Future Sight of the highest order, the arrivals of two Black Kings were reflected.
His pupils trembled incessantly, and his cerebral cortex throbbed from being distorted by excessive mana and the power of visualization.
There had been no second Black King in the future he had previously observed!
Superman’s arrival alone should have been enough to dominate everything here. No matter how strong Mercenary Tao was, once Superman had become a Black King, a Kryptonian innately blessed by the World Will, he should have been overwhelmingly stronger than him.
Why had a second Black King appeared as well?!
Rhongomyniad was, in essence, an undead being from a certain timeline. Bedivere had failed to return the sacred sword, and Artoria had not died at the moment she was meant to. In the end, she became an undead walking the world with the Holy Lance in hand.
Then, under the divine erosion of the Divine Armament, the Holy Lance Rhongomyniad, she became the Goddess Rhongomyniad.
The Holy Lance she wielded was a Holy Lance of the stars on the same level as the sacred sword. It was the storm anchor that bound the stars, the pillar of light that fixed the surface layer of the world in place.
At this moment, Solomon felt an overwhelming Heavenly Might bearing down on him. He actually felt the fear of the wheel of fate about to crush him beneath it.
He had always excelled at calculation, possessed powerful spiritual senses, and had an unrivaled grasp of Future Sight.
Thus, Solomon did not believe in fate, nor did he acknowledge Causality Law. Everything he had was obtained through observation and choice.
But at this moment, he could not help recalling that, in the worldline of Goddess Rhongomyniad, she had acted precisely because she believed humanity had lost its future under the influence of that King Solomon.
And he… Solomon had always used the method of observing a reality belonging solely to himself, this superpower, to observe himself as the Mage King Solomon. Thus, he had obtained King’s Reality, the ability to dominate other magic-side Reincarnators.
It could be said that this was the starting point of his entire series of plans.
Seeing himself as King Solomon, he had attempted to kill core Plot Characters on a massive scale and slaughter Plot Characters in large numbers, causing widespread collapse across the worldline.
According to the intelligence he possessed, the Black King Society was most likely to descend because of such circumstances.
Every previous descent of the Black King Society had resulted in massive Reincarnator deaths because that world had been pushed to the brink of collapse by the Reincarnators, its worldline already unable to continue.
Yet the result of his actions had actually caused this Black King, Rhongomyniad, to descend?!
Solomon even had the illusion that he was doomed.
As the golden Holy Lance stretched across heaven and earth, the elements began to rage, and some balance within the world began to break.
Solomon could even sense an intense concentration of mana emerging from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean—so dense it was terrifying.
The Starry Sea?
Unanchoring the Holy Lance in this world would also cause changes to the laws of the world…
Solomon was almost instinctively analyzing every piece of information. It was in his nature, but under the effects of the Anti-Life Equation, moving was extremely difficult for him right now.
Of course, he still retained the ability to move. Solomon had merely been waiting for an opportunity—the moment that monster appeared and fought the Black King.
That would be the best moment for him to leave.
But the descent of the second Black King had caught Solomon completely off guard.
Boom!
At that moment, golden qi shot into the sky like another Holy Lance rising from the ground.
Solomon’s heart stirred, and he felt the relief of having narrowly escaped death.
Though he had not foreseen the appearance of the second Black King, Mercenary Tao’s reaction was still exactly as expected!
That was right, that was right! Mercenary Tao was that kind of beast!
Seeing his prey about to be stolen, a beast would inevitably grow furious and go berserk!
As he watched the golden wave of qi soaring into the sky, Solomon actually felt a trace of emotion.
In the next instant, a figure flew out of the pitch-black crater.
Perhaps he was the only individual who could still move at this moment. Even Captain Marvel, Ikaris, and the others had been suppressed by the Anti-Life Equation.
Though those powerhouses likely retained some ability to move, no one would act rashly at a time like this.
Bai Cangshu’s eyelids hung low. The qi and blood over his body continued burning like a furnace. Though his Serious Punch had inflicted Existential Damage on him, causing his right arm to vanish and breaking his perfect internal circulation—
Bai Cangshu still retained the terrifying power of eightfold Kaio-ken.
His eyelids remained lowered as his gleaming white long hair danced in the wind, his gaze meeting the two Black Kings who had appeared out of nowhere.
"Black Kings…"
After so long, he was once again seeing these special beings that had become legends within Infinite Dimensional Space.
Just as when he had first encountered Black King Luffy, these two were shrouded in an indescribable sense of presence.
Back then, Bai Cangshu had been too weak to understand what that was.
Now, having also experienced Despair Savior Mode, he had long known that it was the favor of the World Will.
It was a terrifying power where heaven and earth themselves aided you when the time was right.
And the one who possessed that power was the human god of the superhero worldview—Clark Kent, the Kryptonian who could be said to have embodied the very concept of a superhero.
The other was a king transformed by the divinity of a Divine Armament. The intensity of the mana around her was something Artoria, whose body had been remade with Black Mud, could not possibly compare to.
She was an existence utterly beyond a Heroic Spirit—a true deity!
Superman and Rhongomyniad’s gazes landed on Bai Cangshu at the same time. In the next instant, terrifying pressure descended directly upon him.
You have encountered a special unit: Black KingYou are affected by the ability: Anti-Life Equation. A check will now be performed.Checking...Crack!
Bai Cangshu raised his left hand. The qi across his body exploded outward in every direction, and his entire body seemed to ignite.
Check successful. You have resisted the effects of the Anti-Life Equation."Ha—"
Bai Cangshu opened his mouth and exhaled sharply. Kirin Armor covered his entire body, one Sin Point vanished at once, and Omen of the Evil God had been activated.
Not only that, but the black trench coat on his body seemed to come alive in an instant. Dark green Spiritual Pressure flowed wildly from its lining in all directions, transforming into two enormous wings in the next moment.
Buzz!
In the black sky, dark green Spiritual Pressure stretched across the heavens like an ocean, with drizzling droplets of Spiritual Pressure falling like rain.
Bai Cangshu almost groaned. He had never used all his trump cards at once, because ever since returning from B711 World, he had not encountered an enemy capable of forcing him to go all out.
Looking at the Kryptonian floating in the air and gazing down at him indifferently, the sound of Bai Cangshu’s heartbeat vanished in an instant. His hair spread outward in every direction.
Limit Break Spiral activated!
In the next instant, an invisible force abruptly enveloped the entire city.
In the sky, the Holy Lance in Goddess Rhongomyniad’s hand flickered, and the steps beneath her feet began to turn insubstantial.
Far below, Ikaris and Captain Marvel fell at the same time. Solomon, hovering at low altitude, also lost his wings in an instant and crashed straight into the ground.
Boom!
A gray, oppressive power enveloped the city, and a cold, terrifying aura rose from Bai Cangshu’s body.
Above the scarlet phantom of the Omen of the Evil God, an even larger black phantom raised its head from Bai Cangshu’s body.
Lord of the Realm, activated!
"Black Kings, I trust you won’t mind fighting in an environment like this… right?!"
As the final word left his mouth, Bai Cangshu’s figure exploded forward. Before the sonic boom in the sky had fully erupted, Bai Cangshu’s left fist had already struck out before Clark.
The air instantly caved in. A blazing white arc appeared, then shattered with a thunderous explosion as a vacuum wave suddenly erupted.
Boom!
Clark tilted his head slightly, his eyes impassively fixed on Bai Cangshu. His speed and reactions were unbelievably fast.
That indifferent, arrogant gaze completely ignited Bai Cangshu’s desire for battle.
Bai Cangshu narrowed his eyes, unleashing Gaze of Arrogance.
Boom!
Clark’s body shuddered as he flew backward, as though he had been struck head-on by several fully matured Titans.
Clark’s eyes narrowed as well, and Heat Vision lashed through the air like a zigzagging line.
Bai Cangshu pointed with his left hand at the same time, and a Ki Blast erupted.
Buzz!
The beam clash appeared once again, but only an instant later, Bai Cangshu’s Ki Blast and the Heat Vision exploded together with a bang.
A faint sting ran through his Left Arm of the King. This Black King’s level of power had already begun to affect the Left Arm of the King.
Bai Cangshu and Clark stared at each other from afar, but in the next moment, both vanished.
At the same time, Solomon stood on the ground, staring at the moment he was about to leave combat with extreme tension. The instant Mercenary Tao and Superman began fighting in the sky, he had started preparing to depart.
But at a time like this, time seemed incomparably slow.
Suddenly, that strange spiritual sense arose within Solomon once more. He froze, looking at the countdown about to reach zero. Unable to restrain himself any longer, he issued a command in his heart.
"Return!"
Just as the flow of information was about to appear, a hand landed on Solomon’s shoulder.
"Hey, hey, hey, Solomon. We fought side by side until now, and you’re actually going to abandon me?"
Solomon slowly turned around. Behind him, Superman was in the sky, carrying several Reincarnators in one hand as he returned to his original position.
And Mercenary Tao had seized Solomon by the throat.
These two bastards… weren’t planning to let anyone leave…
