Nuclear Energy Doom
"What a disgusting bunch. No matter how many times I kill them, it’s never enough."
Mordo had dodged the nuclear explosion quickly enough earlier, so he was not seriously injured. Once the nuclear glare dimmed, he immediately rushed toward Kaecilius and the others. With a horizontal sweep of his Space Blade, he sliced a mage cleanly in half at the waist.
The mage screamed but did not die. Large amounts of black energy surged from his wounds, trying to reconnect his body.
Mordo snorted and burned him with Magic Flame. At that moment, Kaecilius recovered. Seeing the miserable state of his subordinate, he flew into a rage and pulled with one hand. Mordo was dragged over along with the surrounding space.
Then, Kaecilius did not use any spells. He simply drew two Space Blades and attacked Mordo.
As Kaecilius slashed at Mordo, he opened his mouth to say something. Before he could, Mordo took the initiative and said, "Are you about to say, ‘Mordo, you’ve never beaten me in close combat. Not once. In front of me, you’re nothing but trash’?"
Kaecilius froze. How did Mordo know what he was about to say? He snorted coldly. "Mordo, I’m the senior disciple. I taught you everything you know. What makes you think you can beat me?"
"Because I’ve killed you thousands of times."
Mordo smiled disdainfully and raised his blade to block Kaecilius’s attack. Then he flicked his wrist, sending his Space Blade straight toward Kaecilius’s palm.
Kaecilius hurriedly changed his move, but to his astonishment, Mordo seemed to know the future. Exploiting the opening created by the shift, he left a long wound across Kaecilius’s chest.
Kaecilius refused to accept it and attacked again. Mordo remained calm. The same old routine, not even the slightest surprise.
Ten seconds later, Kaecilius’s head was cut off by Mordo.
Mordo remained calm. He had done this thousands of times already and was long used to it. Besides, Kaecilius was not truly dead. As long as he had dark energy, he would not die.
Seeing Kaecilius defeated, the other mages immediately cast magical whips toward Mordo. Mordo snorted and opened the Mirror Dimension. Nine Voodoo Corpses leaped out.
A burly Voodoo Corpse over three meters tall raised a hand and grabbed several magical whips. Then he pulled hard, dragging the mages helplessly through the air toward him.
Before the mages could reach the burly Voodoo Corpse, a long-haired Voodoo Corpse’s hair rapidly lengthened, trapping them within a massive ball of hair.
Black Light burst from the mages’ bodies as they tried to break free from the hair. At that moment, a great wave of cold swept in and froze them inside it.
The one who acted was a Cold Ice Voodoo Corpse. At the same time, another Voodoo Corpse rapidly circled Kaecilius’s corpse, its twin blades flashing at a speed too fast to see as it sliced Kaecilius into pieces.
This was the Speed Voodoo Corpse.
Kaecilius’s dark soul separated from his body. He shouted in disbelief, "Mordo, how did your Voodoo Corpses become so powerful?"
"I’ve shown off to you plenty of times already, so I won’t keep showing off. It’s pretty boring."
Mordo shrugged. During the previous thousands of loops, he had continuously studied ways to evolve Voodoo Corpses. In the end, using Wade’s blood and the blood of magical creatures, he successfully created Superpowered Voodoo Corpses.
It was worth mentioning that Superpowered Voodoo Corpses had a very low success rate. Getting nine of them this time was already a record.
"What nonsense are you talking about?"
Kaecilius could not understand. His soul roared as it charged toward Mordo. Mordo snorted, and his soul left his body. When Kaecilius saw Mordo’s soul, he was immediately shocked, because it was glowing.
A glowing soul meant that it had become pure to a certain degree. It could be called a Holy Spirit.
Kaecilius shouted in shock and jealousy, "How can your soul be this powerful?"
"Maybe because I’ve died too many times!"
Mordo answered calmly. Though the Time Loop reset everything, experience and personal transformation did not reset.
Souls had not only quantity, but quality. Death after death, loop after loop, had elevated the quality of Mordo’s soul. Doom and Strange were the same. The three of them were completely different from before.
"You must have used sacrificial Black Magic, right?"
Kaecilius shouted almost hysterically. I sold myself to Dormammu and became his dog, yet I still don’t have this kind of power. Why are you so strong? This isn’t fair!
"Yes, yes, yes. Everything you say is right."
Mordo could not be bothered to waste words. He rushed forward, grabbed Kaecilius, and began beating him viciously. He snarled, "Kaecilius, thank you for your immortal body. Now I can keep beating you. You dared betray Kamar-Taj. Who gave you the courage?"
Kaecilius tried to resist, but he was no match for Mordo at all. Though he possessed the power of darkness, it was not worth mentioning before the current Mordo.
While Mordo continued his usual one-sided beating, Strange was dealing with the three injured Crow Gods. Without wasting words, he opened with Shape of Isaac. Thirteen of him floated in the air at once.
Unlike the simplified version from before, Strange was now using the complete version. In other words, all thirteen Stranges were real.
"Die! I’ll make sure not even a corpse remains of you!"
The Black Crow God, whose wings had been blown off by the nuclear bomb, roared. Countless black feathers shot toward Strange in a dense barrage like sharp arrows.
The other two Crow Gods did not remain idle either. The White Crow God opened its mouth and fired a white beam at one of the Stranges, while the Fire Crow God controlled the flames filling the sky and sent them sweeping toward all thirteen Stranges.
"Same old tricks."
Strange remained utterly calm. All thirteen of him cast spells simultaneously, and a translucent barrier appeared before them, blocking every attack before transforming into transparent butterflies that fluttered in all directions.
This was Hoggoth’s Ancient Body. He had not fully mastered it yet, but it could already withstand god-level attacks.
"How is that possible?"
All three Crow Gods were somewhat stunned. How could an ant-like being block their attacks? Their surprise was entirely within Strange’s expectations. Ten of him simultaneously cast Cyttorak’s Crimson Bands, binding the three Crow Gods.
The three Crow Gods flew into a rage and struggled fiercely. With their strength, they could regain freedom in one second. Fortunately, that one second was exactly what Strange wanted.
Three Stranges cast spells at the same time. A magnificent seven-colored sword radiance abruptly appeared in the void, illuminating the entire area. It was Kamar-Taj’s signature sword technique, feared across countless dimensions: Vishanti’s Rainbow Sacred Sword.
"Vishanti’s Rainbow Sacred Sword!"
The three Crow Gods could not help crying out in alarm. They hurriedly used every means available to protect themselves. Strange smiled faintly and controlled the sacred sword as it came crashing down upon the most heavily injured Black Crow God.
Though the Black Crow God defended with all its might, the Seven-Colored Holy Sword was simply too powerful. Every defensive spell was cleaved apart in a single strike. Then the Seven-Colored Holy Sword sank directly into the Black Crow God’s back, intending to split it in two.
The Black Crow God threw back its head and let out a shrill scream. Its magic power frantically resisted the Seven-Colored Holy Sword. The sword slowed more and more, finally lodging in the Black Crow God’s body before gradually fading away, unable to split it in two.
Still not enough?
Strange sighed inwardly. His strength was still insufficient. He could only heavily injure the Black Crow God, not beat it to the brink of death.
Next, the three Crow Gods would counterattack in fury and kill him within three minutes—three minutes was the longest Strange had ever lasted.
Just as Strange prepared to defend, a crimson beam of violent light blasted into the Black Crow God’s head. Since it had devoted all its magical power to resisting the Seven-Colored Holy Sword, it could not resist. Its head exploded on the spot, blood splattering everywhere.
Strange turned in delight and saw Doom blazing with dazzling nuclear red light as he flew fiercely over from afar.
Strange said joyfully, "One in ten thousand?"
"One in ten thousand."
Doom grinned. He had won the gamble. Right now, he himself was a walking nuclear bomb.
"Looks like this will be the last time."
Strange spoke with immense excitement. Doom said, "Let’s hope so. Otherwise, no one knows when the next one-in-ten-thousand chance will come."
At that moment, the other two Crow Gods broke free of their restraints and attacked Strange and Doom in fury.
At the same time, the Black Crow God’s head began regenerating.
"The Black Crow God is regenerating quickly. We have to finish them in a short time."
As Strange used thirteen layers of magical shields to block the Fire Crow God’s attack, he shouted to Doom.
"You don’t need to tell me. I know."
Doom raised his hand, and a Magic Array appeared in his palm. Immediately afterward, a nuclear beam shot out and collided with the White Crow God’s light beam, causing a massive explosion. Cracks spread throughout the surrounding void.
"Gods are nothing special."
Doom gave a savage grin. Nuclear energy erupted from beneath his feet, and he suddenly appeared above the White Crow God. Then his right fist smashed into its back like a cannonball leaving the barrel. Even the White Crow God was sent plummeting more than a hundred meters.
Doom’s movement and attacks were driven by nuclear energy, making them extremely powerful—what mage of Kamar-Taj was not proficient in close combat? Doom pressed his advantage, opening his mouth and blasting out a massive heat wave. The White Crow God, which had just managed to fly back up, let out a shrill scream and fell continuously, its back melting under the intense heat.
"I am Doom! I am the Explosion Divine Lord!"
Doom laughed loudly as he chased it down and brutally pummeled the White Crow God. Already badly injured, the White Crow God was no match for Doom and was left utterly miserable.
"It looks like I’ll never catch up to Doom in this lifetime."
Doom’s astonishing performance left Strange speechless. Of course, Strange was no weaker. Some of his thirteen bodies cast binding spells, some cast defensive spells, and others cast the attack spell Balthakk’s Lightning, beating the Fire Crow God until it screamed repeatedly.
In a one-on-one fight, Strange had the ability to defeat it. Otherwise, would all those thousands of deaths have been for nothing? "Why have these two become so powerful?"
The Fire Crow God and White Crow God were both shocked beyond measure. This was completely different from the level they had displayed before.
Were they acting all along, pretending to be weak before revealing their strength? Damn it, Earthlings were truly sinister! Though they had fallen completely into a disadvantage, the Fire Crow God and White Crow God did not surrender—as long as the Black Crow God recovered, they could reverse the situation and tear these two apart.
At that moment, three Voodoo Corpses appeared beside the Black Crow God. The one on the left continuously spewed flames, while the one on the right released surging cold air. As for the one in the middle, lasers fired from both its hands, destroying the Black Crow God’s barely regenerated head once again.
"Did you forget about me? It may be dark here, but my teeth are very white."
Mordo spoke while continuing to beat Kaecilius. The two Crow Gods were both furious and alarmed. Mordo’s arrival destroyed their last hope.
"Run."
The Fire Crow God and White Crow God exchanged a look and chose to retreat. As for the Black Crow God, it could only blame its bad luck for encountering such sinister Earthlings.
"You want to run? Dream on!"
Doom immediately saw through the White Crow God’s intentions. With a furious shout, nuclear energy erupted across his body, transforming him into a huge red sphere of light that slammed into the White Crow God.
Then the red sphere exploded, turning the void crimson. Half of the White Crow God’s body vanished on the spot—Doom’s nuclear explosion was more concentrated and even more powerful.
The White Crow God was terrified. Before the red light faded, it dragged its mangled body away into the distance. Doom sneered and chased after it with nuclear energy.
Seeing the White Crow God suffer a crushing defeat, the Fire Crow God hurriedly detonated all the flames around its body to blast open a spatial rift, then fled into it.
Strange smiled disdainfully. All thirteen figures cast magic at once, and the spatial rift abruptly shattered into a Space Storm. The Fire Crow God’s body was instantly ground to pieces, leaving only its divine soul to flee out in disarray.
Immediately afterward, Strange used a sealing spell to seal the Fire Crow God’s divine soul into a small space.
A divine soul was extremely valuable. It could even be used to forge a divine artifact.
After dealing with the Fire Crow God, Strange turned to help the Voodoo Corpses finish off the Black Crow God. Before long, the Black Crow God, struggling desperately at death’s door, was completely eliminated.
Just after they dealt with the Black Crow God, Doom returned carrying half of the White Crow God’s corpse. He tossed it to Mordo, whose soul was out of his body, and said, "Try to see if you can refine a god’s corpse into a Voodoo Corpse."
"That could work."
Mordo’s eyes lit up as he gathered all the god-level flesh and blood around them.
Strange dismissed Shape of Isaac, looking somewhat hesitant. Doom glanced at him and said, "Don’t worry about Mordo. He has his limits."
"You misunderstand. I’m not worried about Mordo. I’m worried about you. The radiation on your body is dangerous."
Doom’s face darkened. This kid had not been disciplined for a while and was getting cocky.
Mordo froze, then hurriedly asked, "Doom, you don’t have radiation on you, right?"
"How could I not?"
As Doom retracted the red glow, he said, "You two are basically standing at the center of a nuclear explosion right now."
"Damn it!"
Strange and Mordo were both horrified and rapidly retreated. Doom snorted disdainfully, too lazy to explain further—he did indeed have radiation on him, but he had controlled most of it. It would not have much effect on Strange or Mordo.
Doom said, "All right, no more wasting time. Only Kaecilius and the others remain. Finish them quickly and end this damned loop. I’ve died thousands of times. I’m about to lose my mind."
"We’re about to lose ours too."
Strange and Mordo nodded together. If not for the persistence in their hearts, they would have been unable to endure any longer.
