Old Wang: How About a Game of Go?

200 nautical miles east of San Juan, international waters.

Hulk stared wide-eyed after passing through the orange portal.

What was going on?

Why was there no ground?

Why was there a vast blue ocean beneath his feet?

More importantly, why hadn’t he appeared on the sea surface, but high in the sky at some unknown height above it, with thick clouds right beside him?

So scary!

"How is it, Hulk? Enjoying free fall?"

A soft chuckle sounded by his ear.

Hulk turned his head and saw that hateful little runt beside him, less than ten meters away, with Banner’s girlfriend in his arms.

No, I have to take her back!

Hulk got angry and immediately lunged at him.

He kicked hard with both feet and reached out with all his might.

Then…

The distance between them was still ten meters.

Only the howling wind by his ears proved that he had been moving all along, except vertically rather than horizontally.

"This is the sky, Hulk. Without anything to push off from, how are you going to hit me?"

Old Wang smiled. "How about… we talk?"

Hulk snorted and turned away.

You’re bad. I don’t want to talk to you!

Fall, then. No matter how high it was, he wouldn’t die from the fall. He could settle things with him afterward.

Three thousand meters or so wasn’t much. According to the laws of free fall, it would take roughly…

Hulk scratched his head. Too hard. He couldn’t figure it out.

No problem. It probably wouldn’t take more than a few minutes.

Eh, the scenery was pretty nice from this high up!

Little Hulk’s attention was suddenly drawn away.

Blue sky, white clouds, turquoise sea, and the occasional orange-yellow ring. So pretty.

Old Wang didn’t mind either, holding Betty and watching from the side.

One minute passed.

Ten minutes passed.

Half an hour passed.

Hulk finally came back to his senses and realized that clouds surrounded him everywhere. After all this time, why hadn’t he hit the sea yet?

Twenty seconds later, he saw a huge orange-yellow ring appear on the ocean below.

Then he fell into it.

And appeared in an even higher sky.

This wasn’t scientific!

"Wang, isn’t this a bit too much? Hulk is still young, only five years old. He’s just an ignorant child who hasn’t even gone to school…"

Skye had appeared beside Old Wang at some point, while the unconscious Betty lay nearby.

A lucky cloud floated beneath their feet, leisurely suspended in midair.

"Seems like it."

Old Wang felt a little embarrassed too. It really wasn’t right to tease him like this.

Hulk was incredibly powerful, but his weaknesses were obvious.

Forget Old Wang—even if they got the first move, any Kamar-Taj mage reasonably skilled at opening portals could run rings around Hulk.

He beckoned with one hand, and a lucky cloud appeared beneath Hulk, catching him and carrying him over.

Eh, now he had something to push off from?

Hulk’s eyes lit up. He quickly crouched down, intending to leap over and punch that hateful guy.

Then the ground beneath his feet vanished, and the lucky cloud was gone.

Ten seconds later, the lucky cloud reappeared and brought Hulk before Old Wang. "Do you submit?"

"Hulk… doesn’t submit!" he roared.

He had learned his lesson. Knowing that getting angry was useless, he simply stopped jumping and glared at Old Wang with his green eyes.

Old Wang smiled. "Then what would make you submit?"

Hulk snorted. "Hulk fight!"

Hehe… Old Wang nodded with a smile. "Fine. Let’s go back to the ground and fight. But let’s make this clear first: if I beat you, you’ll have to listen to me from now on. You’ll do whatever I tell you to do."

Hulk nodded heavily. "Okay!"

Skye couldn’t help turning her head away.

Wang, Wang, you’re an adult bullying a five-year-old child. Is that fun? Does it make you feel accomplished?

Old Wang rubbed Skye’s hair. This was quite fun, and it was indeed very fulfilling.

Hulk was Earth God-tier, second only to Thor in strength. His physique was no weaker than the Wild Gods of World of Warcraft, and he was most likely on Tortolla the Turtle God’s level—absurdly hard to hurt.

How could he pass up such a great opponent without fighting him and having some fun?

Most importantly…

Hulk was young, and his mind was simple.

He wasn’t Banner. He liked fighting, and fighting was the best way to improve their relationship.

Only by beating him could he make him obediently listen!

"Come on. I know a good place."

Old Wang opened another portal, and the four of them arrived on an isolated island somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean.

This was a genuine uninhabited zone. No matter how fiercely they fought, no one from the outside world would discover them. It was perfect.

"You’re not allowed to run!"

Hulk stretched his body. Thinking of that shield-wielding little runt with big breasts and a perky butt who always ran away instead of fighting, his eyes rolled as he clenched his fist and swung it hard.

"Hulk strength!"

So he wasn’t stupid… Old Wang nodded. "Fine, let’s compete in strength."

He clenched both fists and mobilized the True Qi throughout his body.

He had never said it would be purely physical strength. True Qi enhancements counted too.

Otherwise, he really wouldn’t be able to beat him…

The two quickly collided.

Bang!

Hulk remained unmoving, while Old Wang was sent flying dozens of meters away.

"Weak chicken arms!" Hulk laughed.

"Pfft!"

Skye couldn’t hold back her laughter. Elektra’s voice came through her earpiece. "Skye, stop shaking around. I can’t see!"

Skye hurriedly steadied her phone and aimed the camera at the battlefield.

She was actually livestreaming!

A flood of comments came pouring in.

Jade Emperor: "The omnipotent Master Wang… got beaten up?"

Ghost Rider: "I don’t know why, but seeing him get beaten up suddenly feels so good… So Immortal Iron Fist can get beaten up too!"

Black Sky: "Robbie, you’re finished. I’m telling the boss!"

Ghost Rider: "I didn’t say it. The Spirit of Vengeance said it. Boss, beat him up, not me!"

Ghost Rider’s brother: "It does feel pretty good, actually… I’m Gabe."

Ghost Rider’s brother: "I didn’t say that last line. Peter snatched my phone. Boss, don’t hold it against me!"

Simmons: "Skye isn’t worried, is she?"

Fitz: "She started the livestream herself, so definitely not. Otherwise, the boss would definitely beat her up, hehe."

Simmons: "True, true. Sweat."

Lash: "Hulk? He looks about as strong as me. Hook fingers…"

Skye pursed her lips and snickered.

This was a secure channel that only their own people could see.

Old Wang didn’t embarrass himself often. Every recording she could save was worth saving. It was entertainment too.

If he dared bully me again someday, hmph!

Climbing up from the ground, Old Wang wiped his mouth.

Hmph!

I went easy on you because you’re young. I won’t now.

Come at me again if you dare!

Bang!

Old Wang flew away.

Bang!

Old Wang was sent flying again and again and again.

Bang!

Hulk flew away.

Their fists struck flesh with every blow.

One relied purely on brute force, while the other wielded True Qi. Both had strength measured in hundreds of tons, making them evenly matched.

Even the ground shook, and deep craters appeared one after another.

The animals fled in every direction, thinking an earthquake had occurred.

An hour later…

After pinning Hulk to the ground and rubbing his face into the dirt yet again, Old Wang panted heavily as beads of sweat the size of beans dripped onto Hulk’s face. "Do you submit?"

Hulk turned his head away. "Hmph!"

Submitting was impossible, absolutely impossible in this lifetime. But he did genuinely acknowledge him.

Fighting Wang was awesome!

Old Wang reached out and pulled Hulk up, rubbing his aching arms.

As expected of Hulk!

If not for fighting this long and reducing Hulk’s anger level considerably, combined with his constant use of True Qi to influence him and help soothe his emotions, he might not have been able to win through brute force alone.

Even Hulk in his normal state had a hundred tons of strength!

And as his anger rose, his strength only grew greater. At his peak, how could it be merely a thousand tons?

This guy was the type to grow fiercer with every battle. Unless someone possessed absolute crushing power like Thanos, he simply couldn’t be killed or defeated. A true freak.

"Be good. The sun’s setting. Let me talk to Banner."

Old Wang radiated a natural, tranquil aura, sending Hulk’s mind into a state of absolute relaxation.

Hulk was truly easy to deal with. Old Wang had at least twenty-seven ways to handle him, though he could only defeat him, not kill him—

At least, he couldn’t kill him through conventional means!

Not only was this guy thick-skinned, tough-bodied, and astonishingly resilient, he could also see spiritual entities, absorb radiation, survive all kinds of extreme environments, and resist extremely powerful mind control. His greatest weakness was that he couldn’t fly…

"Don’t want to…"

Hulk muttered, swayed unsteadily, then fell to the ground and shrank back into Banner, completely naked.

"Strange. His transformation enlargement doesn’t seem proportional?"

Old Wang glanced over, muttered to himself, then took out a set of clothes from the Heart of Azeroth and tossed them over.

Banner finally woke up.

Seeing a girl nearby who seemed to be taking pictures or recording a video, his old face reddened. He quickly turned around and put on the clothes.

When transformed, his consciousness slept within his body, but he still retained some of Hulk’s memories—

Their consciousnesses coexisted, rather than Hulk eventually growing stronger and locking Banner’s consciousness away in a little dark room.

This "Director Wang" was no ordinary powerful person. It would be too easy for him to toy with him, and even in a direct clash, he could contend with Hulk. He also seemed connected to some "Shengun Bureau." Just who was he?

Hulk was a troubled five-year-old child, but he was an older intellectual with a high IQ. He held seven doctoral degrees and had spent five years evading the Air Force’s pursuit. His emotional intelligence wasn’t low either, and he knew the other party definitely wanted something—

And Betty was still in his hands.

After getting dressed, he walked up to Old Wang and extended his right hand. "Bruce Banner… fugitive."

Old Wang extended his hand as well. "Director of the Extraterrestrial Threat Strategic Defense, Offense, and Multidimensional Strategic Cooperation Bureau… Shengun Bureau for short. My surname is Wang."

Banner: "What?"

Did the initials of that long string of English words you just said have anything to do with a stick? How did you shorten it like that?

"That’s not important."

Old Wang pointed at Betty, who was still lying on the ground. "This isn’t a good place to talk. How about going to my home?"

"Fine."

Banner wasn’t the future edgy Banner. Years of fleeing and all kinds of suffering had left him tense and serious, wary of everyone.

But Hulk seemed to like this guy in front of him. Had getting beaten up felt so good that he had developed masochistic tendencies?

"Um… I should carry her."

It was more appropriate for him to carry his own girlfriend. Whoever-you-are, move aside!

Old Wang opened a portal, and they soon arrived at Azeroth Laboratory.

Banner’s eyes lit up.
