Ororo’s Death
Daisy and Hulk, those two lunatics, clashed once again.
Raven had originally planned to borrow the two brainless idiots once more to kill Hive, but Hive did not want to be pestered by the two lunatics again. He decided to kill the threatening Raven first, deliberately driving her farther away.
The power within Hive had been inherited from Magneto’s corpse. Although the corpse was no longer fresh and its memories had been damaged, it still possessed genuine Ninety-Third Heaven power.
Although Raven had Magneto’s legacy aiding her, the Magnetic Field Force still needed to be digested, making it impossible for her power to rise quickly. At the beginning, she had accelerated the digestion and absorption of this power by borrowing Hulk’s threat, but she now possessed only around Eightieth Heaven power.
As for Storm Ororo, although her realm had soared because of the extermination of the Mutant race, she had only reached Fifty Heavens. If she had not been supported by her enhanced Mutant abilities, with Raven providing aid from the side, Hive would have killed her with one punch long ago.
Faced with Hive’s overwhelming advantage in power, the two were beaten terribly. Every blow sent them skirting the edge of life and death, and they had to resist with everything they had just to cling to life beneath Hive’s heavy fists.
Battles of life and death were the best way to stimulate a person’s potential. Raven felt that within a few days, she would be able to completely digest all of Magneto’s remaining legacy. By then, she would have at least the Ninetieth Heaven as her foundation.
Ororo was also deeply stimulated, but the problem was that she did not possess the superpower of Magnetic Field Control. Her Magnetic Field Rotation Force came entirely from Ultimate Limit Qigong, whose upper limit was Fifty Heavens.
As for the Ultimate Yuan Magnetic Limitless Lightning Method that Zhan Liu had recently created, it had not yet spread widely, so naturally she did not know it.
As a result, she could feel the Magnetic Field Rotation Force within her body roaring and boiling madly, yet it could never break through the limit of Fifty Heavens.
And in a battle of life and death like this, being unable to advance meant falling behind.
One could defend for a long time, but eventually one would fail. After countless desperate clashes with Hive, Ororo finally failed to catch Hive’s heavy kick. Her Astral Energy was blasted apart, and the kick swept across her waist, obliterating her spine, ribs, internal organs… everything.
"No…" Seeing her good sister grievously injured before her eyes, Raven let out a scream and threw herself forward without regard for her life, intending to entangle Hive and buy Ororo time to recover.
But Hive was already tired of being repeatedly harassed by the two of them in their back-and-forth struggle. He decided to kill one weakling first. The remaining little bug would only be a matter of time.
He used his Astral Energy to withstand Raven’s attacks while chasing Ororo and pummeling her relentlessly. Finally, after paying the price of multiple fractures and blood spraying from his body, he successfully killed Ororo completely.
Storm Ororo had become the first casualty of this Great Melee!
When Hive held Ororo’s head aloft and laughed wildly at the sky, Raven felt as if the heavens had collapsed and the earth had split apart. Her entire mind went blank.
Ororo was dead!
The last companion among the Mutants was gone too!
From now on, she was the only Mutant left in the world!
At that moment, Raven finally understood what her dear big brother Magneto Erik had felt when he had gone mad back then.
All hope had turned to ashes!
Her heart had gone cold and dead!!
There was nothing left to live for!!!
But… the grudge had to be avenged!
Even if she died, she would drag that bastard down with her!
The immense Magnetic Field Force left behind by Magneto in Raven’s body would originally have required several more days of bitter fighting before it could be completely digested and absorbed. But in this instant, Raven absorbed it all. In the blink of an eye, Raven’s realm crossed into the Ninetieth Heaven.
Moreover, this power became a catalyst, driving Raven’s realm upward as her state of mind drew close to Magneto’s that day, pushing it even higher!
Hive, who was laughing wildly, suddenly felt that the little bug beside him had transformed into a tiger, then rapidly grown into a dragon. Merely standing beside that dragon, he could feel the pressure brought by its cold breath.
His hair stood on end. He casually threw down Ororo’s head, turned around, and struck Raven with his palm.
Raven’s face was cold as she stared fixedly at Hive with a hateful gaze. She did not defend herself. Only when Hive’s heavy fist reached her did she roar and punch toward his head, clearly intending to trade injury for injury and life for life!
The Mutants had gone extinct!
She did not want to live either!
Since that was the case, they would all…
Go! To! Hell!
She dared to fight to the death, but Hive was unwilling to do so with her.
If she attacked some other part of his body, Hive would not care. This body had been a corpse to begin with, so it did not matter how badly it was damaged. He could simply use Magnetic Field Rotation to repair it.
But Hive’s true body existed in the corpse’s head. If that were smashed apart, his true body would certainly die!
Hive hurriedly withdrew his palm to defend himself, knocking Raven’s attack aside.
But by doing so, he lost the initiative. Raven’s follow-up attacks came down like a violent storm, raining blows upon his head and face, each one a desperate move that staked everything on life and death.
"Erik is dead!"
"Charles is dead!!"
"Everyone in the Mutant Nation is dead!!!"
"Now Ororo is dead too!!!!"
"All the Mutants are gone except me!!!!!"
"What meaning is there in a race with only one person left!!!!!!"
Raven attacked while howling through blood-streaked tears.
"Today!"
"The two of us!!"
"Will go die together!!!"
Raven’s fighting spirit grew stronger, her killing intent grew denser, her will to fight grew fiercer, and her resolve grew more absolute… Driven by all these factors, Raven’s realm continued to rise, rapidly reaching the Ninety-Five Heavens!
After taking all those factors into account, Raven had now completely overwhelmed Hive. Killing him was only a matter of time.
Only now did Hive begin to regret it. He should not have killed Ororo first; he should have killed Raven first. But there was no medicine for regret in this world, and regret was useless.
Hive struggled to parry and block Raven’s attacks while racking his brains and planning to use some underhanded tactics.
He certainly wanted to have an explosive breakthrough like Raven, but he was merely a parasite and fundamentally lacked human emotions. Moreover, his body was Magneto’s corpse. Using a corpse to fight was no problem, but expecting a corpse to experience an explosive breakthrough was asking too much of a bug.
After finding himself in the awkward position of being suppressed and beaten by Raven, Hive finally remembered the two lunatics who had disrupted the battle earlier.
The advantage of a lunatic was that he did not distinguish friend from foe. Since the lunatics could be used by the enemy, they could naturally be exploited by him as well.
After making up his mind, Hive began slowly shifting his body, drifting bit by bit toward the battlefield where Hulk and Daisy were fighting.
Raven naturally saw through his intention, but the difference in their strength was not overwhelmingly large. It was nearly impossible to kill the other within a short time. If Hive was determined to flee in that direction, Raven truly could not stop him.
She could only take this opportunity to intensify her attacks, making Hive suffer more injuries as he moved.
As for when they reached Hulk’s battlefield, she had been able to control Hulk earlier, so there would naturally be no problem now.
Regardless, Hive had to die!
