Otherworld Dimension

Although this magic was called Blizzard, it looked more like a Meteor Shower, except these meteors were condensed from Ice Power.

"Fall back!"

There was no way to call out everyone’s names and warn them to take cover.

Fortunately, Varian and the Stormwind City soldiers were all experienced in battle and knew enough about mages.

They had all trained to fight alongside mages and knew what to do in this situation. Just before the Blizzard fell on their heads, everyone retreated to a safe area in time.

The only one who did not retreat was Bolvar Fordragon. The Grand Duke of Stormwind City used every means at his disposal to hold Onyxia’s attention, preventing the black dragon from escaping the Blizzard’s range.

Of course, that also meant he would be trapped within Jaina’s magical attack range.

Large-scale magical attacks in reality did not distinguish between friend and foe. Although Bolvar Fordragon had prepared himself for the possibility of dying here, he absolutely did not want to die to his own side’s magic.

"The Light is with me!"

As one of the strongest paladins in the Stormwind Kingdom, Bolvar’s Holy Light was pure and powerful. At the most critical moment, he used Divine Shield. Bathed in Holy Light, Bolvar completely ignored both Onyxia and the Blizzard falling from above. He let those attacks strike him as he firmly swung his weapon, slashing at Onyxia’s vital points again and again.

"Damn mage!"

Onyxia realized that she could not shake off Bolvar’s entanglement and began drawing upon the magic within her to cast a Magic Shield. With her abundant magic, taking a Blizzard head-on was not particularly difficult. But that was only if she could focus all her attention on casting, rather than having to throw a punch at that human-shaped torch glowing with Holy Light every time she had gathered half her energy.

Clusters of Frost Energy crashed down upon Onyxia and the ground around her. The energy that landed on the ground was not useless either. The freezing air that burst forth after the explosions would also cause Onyxia enormous trouble. It would interfere with her senses, even the circulation of her magic, while also hindering her movements.

After the last Frost Energy burst apart, Onyxia and the space around her were enveloped in a hazy white chill. The temperature within that mist was incredibly low. Even Bolvar, protected by Holy Light, had no choice but to retreat and wait for the cold mist to disperse before charging back in to trouble the black dragon again.

Still, everyone prayed that the black dragon had been badly wounded by this attack, preferably killed outright.

From the beginning of the battle to Jaina casting Blizzard and the spell finally ending, only a little over ten minutes had passed. Yet thirteen of Stormwind City’s elite soldiers had died in that brief fight, more than twenty were seriously wounded, and the remaining few were all injured. Not a single Stormwind City soldier who had come here was unhurt.

Broll Bearskin was using Druid Healing Spells to keep the severely wounded soldiers alive, while Prince Anduin was in a state of confusion, unable to understand what was happening.

Jaina, who had just cast Blizzard, turned to look at Yinsen.

"Are you planning to never make a move?"

"I’ll make a move."

Jaina did not ask Yinsen when he intended to act. Mages all had their own preferred combat rhythms. Many times, it was impossible to tell whether a mage was simply staring blankly into space or secretly preparing some powerful spell.

What concerned her was something else. Laura stood out far too much among this group.

"You should have left her outside."

Seeing Jaina’s concern for Laura, Yinsen gave a speechless smile. "Relax. She’s much stronger than you think. Even if everyone here died, she wouldn’t."

Laura’s Healing Factor came entirely from Wolverine Logan. The two of them were probably the least likely people present to lose their lives. Although Onyxia was powerful, she did not seem proficient in soul-related magic. If she relied solely on physical or magical attacks against their bodies, she simply could not kill either of them.

By then, the white chill in the battlefield had gradually dispersed, and Onyxia’s figure reappeared before everyone. The Black Dragon Princess seemed completely unharmed. Aside from her uglier expression, even her clothes had not been damaged.

However, Jaina’s magical attack had still driven the Black Dragon Princess into a rage. Onyxia’s body gradually began to expand, black scales emerging across her skin. Finally, before everyone’s astonished eyes, she transformed into an enormous black dragon.

"That was a little fast."

Yinsen had wanted to launch a surprise attack while Onyxia was transforming into a black dragon. He had not expected her to finish transforming in the blink of an eye. The massive creature before him smashed the surrounding buildings to pieces and even reached the edge of the Mirror Dimension.

"Hm?"

Onyxia finally understood why her Teleportation Spell could not function properly, and she immediately knew who had done this.

"It was you!"

The rage in her heart grew fiercer, ultimately turning into a huge torrent of savage flames that poured from Onyxia’s mouth and rushed toward Yinsen.

Faced with the surging Fire Breath, Yinsen suddenly showed a trace of surprise before turning to Loki beside him. "Nice illusion."

With a flick of his right hand, a scepter with a curved blade appeared in his grasp. As the scepter appeared, shimmering light flowed over "Yinsen," and before everyone’s astonished eyes, he transformed into Loki.

Meanwhile, Loki, who had been standing quietly nearby, transformed into Yinsen amid flashing light. Smiling at Loki as he raised a blue barrier with one hand, Yinsen even lifted his hand slightly, as if telling Loki not to hold back. This was Loki’s perfect chance to settle old scores and slap the black dragon in the face.

When Onyxia saw Yinsen appear elsewhere and realized that the person she had attacked was someone else, she was momentarily stunned. The Fire Breath pouring from her mouth paused slightly, giving Loki a perfect opportunity. The scepter in his hand erupted with intense light, followed by an explosion of bone-piercing cold.

Jaina’s earlier Blizzard had lowered the temperature in this space considerably, but it was still incomparable to the cold unleashed by Loki’s scepter.

Blizzard was merely a spell that summoned Water Elements from the world’s regions of Extreme Cold, gathered those water elements containing chill, and hurled them at the target. The elements’ concentration and quality were not particularly high. It was exceptionally effective for clearing weaker enemies, but against a black dragon, it fell somewhat short.

Because of the Mirror Dimension, Jaina had also encountered quite a few difficulties when casting the spell. Its final power was far inferior to the Blizzard she could normally cast.

The Ice Power Loki wielded, on the other hand, was relatively high-end energy in the Marvel Universe. Otherwise, with Loki’s talent, he would not have spent so long mastering only the barest surface of it.

Perhaps the current Loki could not Instant Kill Onyxia, but once he unleashed Ice Power, he truly became someone capable of posing an enormous threat to her.

At the same time, Onyxia remembered that this man had approached her before and proposed that they join forces.

At the time, she had thought he was some idiot who had appeared out of nowhere. She had not even bothered to pay attention to him, casually mocking him a few times before driving him away. Afterward, she had even ordered SI:7 to send people after him. She had never expected to meet him again under these circumstances.

What surprised her most was that the power this man wielded made her wary. Only now did she realize that when he had approached her back then, he truly possessed the qualifications to work with her.

Unfortunately, she had understood too late. And even if she could do it over, she would still refuse. She was a proud black dragon; she needed no one’s help to destroy the Stormwind Kingdom.

In the instant that Onyxia was slightly distracted, she failed to notice a blue circle suddenly appear beneath Yinsen, who had been quietly playing dead all this time. He immediately fell into it.

At the same time, an identical blue circle appeared above Onyxia, and Yinsen dropped out of the doorway that had appeared from nowhere.

This was Kamar-Taj’s Teleportation Spell. After studying Spatial Energy for quite some time, Yinsen still could not freely open such portals to anywhere he wanted, but within the Mirror Dimension, he could cast this spell with ease.

The energy drawn from the Tesseract was also highly compatible with this spell. It could be cast silently and without a trace. He did not even need to strike poses and draw circles like The Ancient One and the others; a simple gesture was enough.

This time, he used the spell to launch a surprise attack on Onyxia. The Combat Cross in his hand was operating at Full Power, its lightsaber formed from maximum energy output erupting with dazzling radiance. It looked like a blinding miniature sun hurtling toward Onyxia’s head at astonishing speed.

To increase his falling speed and the force of his attack, Yinsen immediately spread his Flame Wings. The powerful thrust brought his speed to its peak in an instant, and the lightsaber in his hand pierced Onyxia’s wing the very next second—the black dragon, suddenly sensing danger, used her wing to block Yinsen’s attack and avoided the miserable fate of having her brain pierced by a sword.

"Roar!"

Having a hole stabbed through her wing was not a pleasant experience. The roaring black dragon violently flung her wing, sending Yinsen, who had ambushed her, flying away. Then she unleashed another Fire Breath at Yinsen, who had lost his balance in midair.

Watching the flames surge toward him, Yinsen adjusted his body as he flew through the air and extended the fingers of his left hand, using a spell he had developed only recently.

"Otherworld Dimension!"
