Peace Monument and Abyss of Sin

The Sentinel Robots had actually intended to take the opportunity to wipe out all the Mutants in one fell swoop, but they were bound by Magneto and surprisingly couldn’t break free, so they were dragged into outer space.

Magneto was in a terrible mood. The establishment ceremony for the Mutant Nation had been going perfectly, yet some fools who didn’t know when to stop had sent a group of robots to cause trouble.

Although these Sentinel Robots looked quite powerful, in Magneto’s eyes, they were no different from chickens and clay dogs.

But after they disrupted things, the establishment ceremony, which should have proceeded perfectly, immediately developed a flaw. And it was a flaw that couldn’t be fixed afterward.

That made him extremely furious.

In any case, his life was almost at its end, so he might as well go completely wild one last time.

Before the group of robots could launch an attack, his figure flashed. He reached out and grabbed one robot by the neck, then squeezed with his fingertips and crushed its Protective Astral Energy, before twisting hard.

Huh? It didn’t move.

This material was pretty good!

He examined it closely for a moment, then ignored the attacks from the other nine Sentinel Robots and began converting the material. The robot in his hand gradually turned gray starting from its neck. A moment later, with a soft click, Magneto twisted the robot’s head off.

Magneto glanced at the Earth beneath his feet, aimed in a direction, and casually tossed the head away. The Sentinel Robot’s head plunged toward the Earth below.

Although Magneto hadn’t accelerated the head any further, it was falling freely from outer space, and it was made of the super-durable True Adamantium Alloy. By the time it hit the ground, the energy it carried was absolutely no less than that of a space-based orbital weapon.

The head’s landing point was some major city. Magneto wasn’t sure exactly which one. The reason he knew it was a major city was simply that small cities couldn’t be seen from outer space!

After tossing away the head, Magneto tore apart the headless robot in his hand, which was still attacking him without pause. Only after its main circuits had been completely destroyed did it finally stop attacking.

Using the same old method, Magneto casually chose a city for each of the detached arms and legs and threw them down. Only then did he turn to deal with the other nine identical Sentinel Robots, which couldn’t even break through his own protective magnetic field.

Although the Sentinel Robots’ AI was highly intelligent, it hadn’t reached the level of strong artificial intelligence, which was almost indistinguishable from humans. At the very least, they hadn’t learned fear or how to flee.

Only after the ground command center saw the battle through the cameras built into the eyes of the Sentinel Robots and issued a retreat order would they retreat.

But the ground was already in chaos. No one was paying attention to whether the Sentinel Robots should retreat anymore. Or rather, even if it meant wasting these Sentinel Robots, which had consumed tremendous resources to manufacture, they still wanted to buy themselves a few more minutes to escape.

Originally, in order to enjoy the wonderful moment of seeing Magneto brought to justice at the earliest possible time, a large number of powerful figures had rushed to the military base in the Mojave Desert.

They had thought they would be able to watch the entire Mutant Nation be thoroughly exterminated, the establishment ceremony become a massacre, and the Mutant Nation become the Death Realm.

As they watched the live broadcast from the television station ahead, they had the Sentinel Robots conceal themselves nearby. They deliberately waited until Raven was about to be crowned before ordering the Sentinel Robots to attack. Their goal was to knock the Mutants into the dust at the very moment their hope was about to arrive!

But who could have expected things to turn out this way?

The opening had gone quite well. Although the Sentinel Robots’ attack had been cleverly redirected by a group of Mutants, at least it proved that the attack was so powerful that even those freaks, the Mutants, didn’t dare take it head-on.

But who could have expected that after reaching outer space, the Sentinel Model 3 Magnetic Field Rotation Robots, which had been built at enormous expense and were expected to accomplish so much, would be so utterly helpless against Magneto?

What Vibranium skin? What True Adamantium Alloy? Against Magneto, none of it was useful at all. He dismantled them piece by piece as easily as chopping vegetables.

The cowardly bunch were now terrified that Magneto would come over and wipe them all out in one stroke. They were swarming outside toward the airfield, preparing to flee by plane.

They didn’t dare go to any major city. They would go to Antarctica first and find somewhere to hide!

The cleverest among them immediately gave orders after their planes took off, directing them to Paradise Island to attend the founding ceremony of the Mutant Nation.

Being late was better than not going at all!

Was there anywhere in the world safer than that place now?

As for whether Magneto would settle accounts with them later, they couldn’t worry about that anymore. As long as they stubbornly denied everything, who could prove what their families had done?

In the void, Magneto spent some time disabling all the Sentinel Robots and, incidentally, destroying a pile of cities. The number of casualties from this round of "aerial bombardment" was absolutely more decisive and efficient than the last time he had acted personally. It could only be said that as his strength improved, the efficiency of his slaughter had also increased.

But it wasn’t over yet. The real culprits hadn’t been dealt with!

Thanks to the insignia painted on the chests of the Sentinel Robots, the identity of the mastermind was obvious.

Magneto returned to Earth and headed straight for Washington.

He didn’t know exactly who had created the Sentinel Robots, but it didn’t matter. The officials in Washington certainly couldn’t escape. He only needed to kill them all. If any innocent people died, they could consider it their bad luck and be reborn somewhere else in their next lives!

At Magneto’s speed, he reached Washington in an instant. The city was still enjoying peace and prosperity, with traffic flowing through the streets, and no one knew that disaster was about to arrive. When those politicians fled for their lives, they hadn’t even issued an alarm.

Magneto flashed into the air above Washington, aimed at the center of the city, and punched again. It was simple and brutal, but the results were excellent.

Back then, Magneto had only been at Fifty Heavens. When he destroyed a city with one punch, there might still have been survivors who slipped through the cracks.

But the current Magneto possessed the power of Ninety-Seven Heavens. After one punch, not a single living person remained. Everyone was annihilated!

But this time, Magneto didn’t intend merely to kill people. He had already killed plenty of people last time, yet humanity simply never learned its lesson!

So this time, he would create something truly massive, something that would make humanity tremble with fear and prevent them from ever daring to provoke the Mutants again.

He unleashed the enormous power of Ninety-Seven Heavens, power sufficient to destroy the Earth, tearing apart the ground and transforming the entire Washington area into a vast, bottomless abyss.

Relying on the terrifying power of Magnetic Field Rotation, the abyss, which should have spewed forth lava, was instead pitch-black, like a black hole. Even light had difficulty escaping from it.

The entire city sank into the abyss. Even if some lucky survivors had occasionally managed to escape death within the city, they would never be able to climb back out of the abyss in this lifetime.

Then, beside the abyss, he gathered up broken building fragments, using human body parts as soil and spurting blood as glue, and forged a colossal monument that reached the heavens.

The front of the monument bore several large words: "Everything for peace!"

The back of the monument was inscribed with: "Abyss of Sin."

After completing all this, Magneto clapped his hands, turned around, and left, completely satisfied.

The founding ceremony of his own nation wasn’t over yet. He had to hurry back to crown Raven. That matter was far more important than this minor incident.
