Phoenix Force

At this moment, Cull Obsidian had already entered a state of frantic frenzy. That terrifying momentum and dreadful sense of oppressive pressure meant every strike he delivered was incomparably fierce. The superheroes simply did not have a single match for him; the two sides were simply not on the same level.

Captain America was beaten to the brink of death with severe injuries, Iron Man was knocked flying for dozens of miles, his life or death unknown, and Thor was beaten down to the ground, likewise unable to rise.

Dammit! Black Widow watched as the Chaos Magic was shattered and fell into a state of backlash, with Scarlet Witch, whose mind was in chaos, clutching her head and crying out in pain. She glared resentfully at Cull Obsidian, yet she was powerless. Her strength was fine for dealing with ordinary aliens, but Cull Obsidian was no longer someone she could handle.

"Another little bug!"

Cull Obsidian threw a punch from afar, the force of it sweeping up raging gales. With a loud crash, he struck Black Widow, sending her flying dozens of meters into the air. Such a heavy punch should have directly beaten Black Widow into pieces of flesh, yet in that very instant, Wanda the Scarlet Witch endured the chaotic mental energy in her mind to give Black Widow a shield, narrowly blocking Cull Obsidian’s heavy blow. And it was precisely this single block that averted Black Widow’s death and simultaneously caused Wanda to completely lose her combat power, plunging her into total unconsciousness.

"Natasha!"

Bruce the Hulk let out a furious roar, leaping up abruptly to catch Black Widow, who was about to plummet to the ground and be dashed to her death. Upon seeing the severely injured and dying Black Widow, Bruce’s gaze began to turn crimson red.

Huff, huff…

Ragged gasps issued from Hulk’s nostrils. His already towering physique expanded even more violently, the persona of Bruce beginning to hide away in the depths of his mind while the persona and consciousness belonging to Hulk began to awaken.

Roar!!!

Hulk finally awakened completely. At the split second before waking, the persona of Bruce controlling the body threw Black Widow out, his well-controlled strength causing her to land right beside the dying Captain America.

A fully awakened Hulk was invincible. Never mind that the one before him was Cull Obsidian; even if it were Thanos or the Five Elders, he would dare to rush up and fight him head-on. Regardless of whether he could win or not, he had this courage—or rather, it was not courage, but a lack of sanity. Under the control of his enraged will, Hulk absolutely did not know what fear and dread were.

Hulk’s physique expanded from four meters tall to six meters, eight meters, all the way to a sturdy nine-meter stature, which was already taller and bigger than Cull Obsidian.

"Oh, a big guy has arrived!" Cull Obsidian smiled with a chuckle. "Still, do you think having a big size means greater strength?"

Hulk leaped into the air and landed with a loud crash right before Cull Obsidian, slamming down a fist which Cull Obsidian raised his hand to parry.

Boom!

An explosive shockwave rang out. The spot where Cull Obsidian stood was blasted once more into a giant crater dozens of meters deep and hundreds of meters in diameter. Yet at the center of the crater, Cull Obsidian stood safe and sound, blocking Hulk’s heavy punch with a single hand.

"Got a bit of strength! But that is all!" Cull Obsidian shook his head and said disdainfully.

"Roar! Roar! Roar!"

Boom, boom, boom…

Hulk was incomparably furious, his anger burning up and transforming into infinite strength to sustain his battle. He continually raised his fists to strike, those heavy fists the size of cars constantly swinging down and smashing as if trying to punch right through the earth.

amidst deafening crashes, the entirety of New York was trembling. Seemingly sensing the intense battle taking place here, the fighting everywhere else in New York City paused for a moment, and everyone—including the aliens of the Dark Order—watched this direction in shock.

The crater continued to expand under Hulk’s continuous bombardment, and the surrounding buildings—those skyscrapers—were affected by this terrifying tremor and shockwave, collapsing with a loud crash, one after another. The ground sank further, dust flew into the air, and explosions rang out continuously. The surrounding aliens and soldiers had no choice but to cease combat and evacuate from this terrifying place.

Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, and the others, heavily injured and unconscious, were also carried away by the soldiers; this place was clearly no longer somewhere they could stay.

Huff, huff, huff…

Hulk breathed heavily, the slightest trace of humanity having vanished from his blood-red eyes, leaving only raging emotions. He looked at the terrifying figure standing before him unharmed and roared once more.

"Roar!!!"

Hulk leaped up, jumping into the sky—hundreds of meters high—and slammed down from the heavens with terrifying kinetic energy, gravity, and his own terrifying nearly ten-meter-tall physique, forcefully driving Cull Obsidian thousands of meters deep into the ground right out of the crater.

"Not bad strength; this must be the strongest power on Earth, right? If this is all there is, then go die!"

A muffled voice echoed from deep underground, and subsequently, with a loud crash, a green figure flew out from the depths of the earth. It was the Hulk, who had been knocked flying out, soaring a thousand meters above ground before crashing heavily onto the ground. Even with Hulk’s hardy physique, he could not take Cull Obsidian’s terrifying blow head-on, and Hulk could not help but fall unconscious. His body on the ground began to slowly shrink, transforming back into the appearance of Dr. Banner.

With this, the superhero squad that had taken the field to fight Cull Obsidian was completely wiped out.

Cull Obsidian walked through the air, wielding a giant saber as he arrived before Dr. Banner. With a sinister chuckle, he slashed down with his blade, preparing to put Dr. Banner to death.

Banner in his normal form could not withstand such a terrifying saber strike. If he were hit by this blade, he would undoubtedly die.

Xiao Hen, who was monitoring this battle, wanted to step in and block this blow, yet a flicker of his Divine Sense revealed a turning point.

A brown-haired woman flew down from the distance, a sheet of flame erupting from her hands that collided with a loud crash against Cull Obsidian’s giant saber, actually blocking the strike.

"Hmm?" Cull Obsidian raised his head to look at this abruptly arriving woman, his expression shifting slightly. This woman had also been among those he had paid attention to earlier, except that her strength was not particularly high; when dealing with aliens, she had merely utilized some telepathic abilities. Yet now, she was already capable of using the power of flames, and moreover, these flames were extraordinary.

"And who are you?" Cull Obsidian asked.

"Jean Grey." The newcomer was none of the others than Jean, the supreme powerhouse among mutants, an Omega-level mutant possessing telepathy, telekinesis, and the power of flames. Of course, the so-called power of flames was merely the external manifestation of the Phoenix Force; her true power went far beyond this.

Jean possessed four forms. The first was the human form, capable of using only psychic power, telekinesis, and a small amount of flame power. The second form was the Phoenix form, capable of using the Phoenix Flame with off-the-charts combat power. Meanwhile, the third form was the Dark Phoenix form, whose combat power already exceeded Earth’s restrictions; in this form, Jean’s combat power was at least two million. And as for the fourth form, according to the plot, after Jean died, she transformed into the White Phoenix form, heading into the cosmos to seek out the Phoenix Force left behind by past White Phantoms. Once she completed her search for power, she would be a powerhouse approaching the level of the Five Elders.

Therefore, if Xiao Hen were to categorize them, Jean’s ultimate form was actually slightly stronger than the current Thanos.

However, the current Jean seemed to still be in her first form, not possessing overly formidable strength yet. It was unknown whether her arrival here would allow her to deal with Cull Obsidian.
