Picking Cotton and Breaking Out of Prison

Fang Mo really hadn’t expected this.

The Collector was still coveting the Infinity Stones.

His outward behavior had indeed been impeccable. He had always been polite to Fang Mo and had never crossed any lines, yet behind the scenes, he had never given up on collecting the Infinity Stones.

In the original story, he had wanted to buy the Power Stone for four billion.

But according to these Kree soldiers, the price had now risen to ten billion.

Fang Mo didn’t know much about prices in the galaxy, but if it was enough to make Yondu call on all the other Ravagers, it definitely wasn’t a small sum.

"Mm, fine."

After thinking for a moment, Fang Mo suddenly smiled.

However, to his surprise, the Kree soldiers were scared out of their wits and hurriedly dropped to their knees. "M-Milord, please calm down… This really has nothing to do with us…"

"Huh?"

Their reaction left Fang Mo somewhat baffled. "I never said it had anything to do with you, did I?"

Yes, Fang Mo’s smile had nothing to do with these soldiers. He had simply been amused by the Collector’s actions. Did that guy really think getting the Power Stone would make him invincible? Or that he could somehow keep this from Fang Mo?

When the neighbors stockpiled grain, he stockpiled guns. The neighbors were his granary.

The Collector had probably lived too long, and his brain had become sluggish. He couldn’t even grasp such a simple principle.

If Fang Mo had to find the Orb of the Universe himself, it would probably have been more troublesome. Not only was the thing difficult to locate, cracking open its shell would also be a hassle.

But now, things were easy.

Fang Mo decided he wouldn’t look for it personally.

He could just go to the Void Dimension and rob… take it from Collector Tivan, couldn’t he?

Considering the thing might still be in Yondu’s hands, Fang Mo decided to bring Star-Lord along. Yondu was truly obsessed with his son. As long as Star-Lord was in Fang Mo’s hands, Yondu would definitely hand over the item obediently.

With that in mind, Fang Mo gradually sorted out his next steps.

First, he would go to Krillin Prison and get Star-Lord and the others out. The tree-man Groot still had a module that hadn’t been unlocked, after all. Once he picked them up, they could go find Yondu or the Collector and take the Orb of the Universe.

But before doing any of that—

Fang Mo had something even more important to do.

"Let me ask you a question." Fang Mo turned his gaze toward the Kree soldiers before him. "Do you… want to suffer the same torture as him?"

"N-No…"

The Kree soldiers nearly shook their heads off. "Please spare us, milord. We truly had no intention of offending you…"

"You don’t want to be tortured? Fine, but you’ll have to do something for me."

Fang Mo rubbed his chin. "I don’t know how long this will last, but you have no choice. Either serve me, or be burned as firewood for thirty years until you become immortal embers."

"…Please tell us, milord."

The Kree soldiers exchanged glances, then collectively leaned down and knelt before Fang Mo.

Fang Mo snapped his fingers. The Space Stone suddenly flashed, and the next moment, everyone appeared in a dim, lifeless, nearly shattered wasteland.

"This is the home of the Dark Elves, Vanaheim, one of the Nine Realms."

As Fang Mo spoke, he pulled out a handful of seeds. "What I’m holding are ‘hehe… white, fragrant, soft, and fluffy’ cotton seeds. From now on, this Pursuer Zaku—"

"Milord, it’s Kylas the Pursuer."

The Kree soldiers hurriedly reminded him.

"Oh, right, this whatever Kylas the Pursuer." Fang Mo nodded. "From now on, all of you are his overseers. You must supervise him planting cotton day and night without interruption. You will only be free once Vanaheim has been covered in cotton. Understood?"

"This…"

The Kree soldiers hesitated.

This place looked like a barren, yellowed planet. It was clearly unrealistic for one person to cover it in cotton. They would probably die old and alone here, wouldn’t they?

But Fang Mo gave them no time to think. He directly activated the Mind Stone’s power.

The Infinity Gauntlet inside his storage space suddenly clenched into a fist by itself. Golden light then burst through his body, instantly enveloping the Kree soldiers.

"Do you understand?"

Fang Mo asked with a smile, "Starting today, every one of you is a great slave master."

"As you command, milord."

A strange blue glint flashed through the Kree soldiers’ eyes, just like Hawkeye when he was controlled by the Mind Scepter in Avengers 1. They nodded, then looked at their officer with expressions full of cruelty and arrogance.

"You’ll probably need a lot of water to till the land. You can use this."

As Fang Mo spoke, he casually threw out a Hot Spring Sword. It flew through the air and slammed into the ground nearby with a boom, blasting out a huge crater. Warm spring water then spread from the blade, rapidly expanding outward and filling the entire pit in the blink of an eye.

Because the hilt was completely submerged in the hot spring water, the spring did not spread outward uncontrollably.

"As for food…"

Fang Mo thought for a moment, then tossed out an Unbreaking Dagger forged from Pig Iron. "When you get hungry, chew on this weapon. But don’t let Kylas eat it, understand?"

"As you command, milord."

The Kree soldiers nodded. Then, one of the braver ones suddenly raised his head and asked, "Milord, what if Kylas starves to death?"

"Simple."

Fang Mo smiled again, this time very happily. He summoned his Stand-in Steve, materialized several barrels of Holy Spring Water, then burned a large glass pit into the ground and poured the Holy Spring Water into it.

"This water can make the human body regenerate while ignoring the laws of physics. Whether you dig out his stomach and make him grow another one, or come up with some other strange method… anyway, figure it out yourselves. Intelligent life has limitless creativity. Use your imaginations and think about the tricks you can pull with this thing."

As Fang Mo said this, he suddenly punched his palm. "Oh, right. I almost forgot the most important thing—the whips…"

After saying that, Fang Mo reached into the spatial mist and pulled out several brand-new leather whips. Only then did he nod in satisfaction. "Mm-hmm, now this feels right."

After carefully explaining everything to these Kree soldiers—

Fang Mo left, thoroughly satisfied.

After all, he wasn’t Mephisto. He wasn’t the type to catch someone and torture them forever. Fang Mo had more important things to do, so he couldn’t waste too much time here.

When Fang Mo had left Xandar earlier, he had anchored a spatial coordinate onto Star-Lord.

So even though Fang Mo didn’t know the exact location of Krillin Prison, he could use his connection to the Space Stone’s energy to determine Star-Lord’s position and instantly teleport to his side.

Like right now.

Fang Mo merely had a thought.

And he went from Morag to Kree Universe Prison.

Blue mist churned and swirled as Fang Mo slowly stepped out of it. He found Star-Lord, dressed in a yellow prison uniform, talking to Rocket Raccoon. Beside them sat a bald, gray-skinned muscular man who looked utterly menacing.

"So this plan absolutely needs that Kornis Battery?"

Star-Lord couldn’t help asking.

"Because it’s part of the fucking plan, idiot."

Rocket Raccoon was clearly getting irritated. "If you don’t understand technology, then shut up. Just sit there and listen quietly like that guy next to you—"

Before he could finish, Rocket Raccoon suddenly spotted Fang Mo beside him.

"Holy shit!" Rocket Raccoon was clearly startled and his fur practically stood on end. "When did you get back? Couldn’t you at least give us a heads-up next time? You scared the hell out of me…"

"I came to break you out of prison."

Fang Mo said with a smile.

"I don’t think that’ll be necessary anymore." Star-Lord hurriedly said, "Our buddy Rocket here has already come up with a brilliant escape plan. We just need some kind of Kornis Battery."

As soon as Star-Lord finished speaking, Groot’s large hand held out a highly advanced-looking battery.

The next second, alarms blared throughout the entire prison.
