Regrowing Severed Limbs

As mentioned before, the evil god was enormous—so enormous that even Its nostrils were as large as a shopping mall’s ventilation ducts.

Although Li Feng had no interest in crawling through ventilation shafts, the sight of him about to crash into the other party’s lips gave him an idea.

Let me clear out your pipes for you. No need to thank me. With a raise of his hand, Li Feng instantly cast a slightly weaker Nuclear Reaction Fireball into the other party’s nostril, then teleported behind It to avoid the explosion.

"Boom—"

After a massive explosion, the evil god’s face was blown beyond recognition—the kind of damage even Korea’s best plastic surgeons could never save.

Watching the evil god slowly collapse, Li Feng froze for a moment. It died that easily? Was Its nostril close to Its brain? Did that explosion blow Its brains out?

That makes no sense. It’s a god, after all.

Could It have decided that, in this face-obsessed world, It could never show Its face again and simply chose to die?

Looks really are more important than anything.

While amusing himself, Li Feng, who had never underestimated the other party’s vitality, activated his Mystic Eyes to inspect Its Astral Body.

After confirming that the evil god’s Astral Body was normal, Li Feng raised a huge Water Orb between his hands and smashed it viciously at the evil god lying on the ground and playing dead. Whether you’re truly dead or faking it, I’ll lock you in Time Stop first, then deal with you properly.

Just as the Time Spell was about to strike the evil god, the god, whose eyes had been tightly shut, suddenly opened them. A human-sized Fireball wreathed in black energy instantly appeared above the horns on Its head.

After piercing through the Water Orb representing the Time Spell, the Fireball continued hurtling toward Li Feng at tremendous speed.

Li Feng rode Dark Cloud in a sideways dash, narrowly avoiding the Fireball.

Before Li Feng could celebrate, the black-energy-wreathed Fireball behind him suddenly exploded, splitting into head-sized black-and-red Fireballs that rained down on him like raindrops.

Several Fireballs made primarily of black flames floated furtively among them, flickering in and out of view.

Seeing flames fill the Mirror Dimension in such a short time, Li Feng’s face darkened. Dark Cloud was certainly agile enough to carry him through the Flame Rain in time, and he also had the double protection of a shield and armor. He would not die anytime soon.

But the Mirror Dimension could not withstand the corrosion of flames imbued with Divine Power.

Gritting his teeth, Li Feng controlled the shattered Water Orb to gather around the evil god while simultaneously forming a Nuclear Reaction spirit fireball.

Just as the Water Orb wrapped around the evil god’s limbs and trapped It, the pores on Li Feng’s back suddenly exploded.

A warning of danger flashed through Li Feng’s mind. He had no time to keep controlling the water, so he dodged sideways while pouring more Mana into his shield, hoping it could withstand the danger.

Unfortunately, Li Feng was a step too slow, and he had underestimated the black flames.

A mass of black fire passed through the shield and attached itself directly to his right arm. The armor on his arm instantly became riddled with pits.

Then, Li Feng clearly felt his beloved right hand rapidly lose all sensation.

With his mind buzzing, only one thought surfaced in Li Feng’s head: I’m screwed.

Li Feng might dare to provoke an evil god now, but that was only because of the Divine Power granted by Loki’s Mask.

Yet the mask’s other name, Night God, reminded Li Feng that once the sun rose, the mask would be off duty. It would not continue protecting him.

Without the mask’s Divine Power, how was Li Feng supposed to withstand the corrosive energy on his arm?

This time, he had truly screwed up.

Sensing that he might not survive, Li Feng hardened his heart, and a long-lost scarlet glow appeared in his eyes. You want to kill me? I’ll risk my life with you. I’ll kill you first, then heal my arm.

In an instant, Li Feng overdrew the mask’s power. With a crack appearing on his green face, he emerged beneath the shield near the evil god’s mouth and, without hesitation, shot the Pseudo-Seraph Feather into Its mouth like a flying knife.

Then, with two cracks on his green face, Li Feng teleported to Its chest. Raising the Scythe with its soul-devouring ability activated, he drove it viciously into Its heart.

The tip of the Scythe was bounced away, but the Scythe itself still pierced Its chest.

That was not the end. Li Feng immediately teleported into the air and controlled the Water Orb to firmly trap the evil god’s limbs in Time Stop, rendering It unable to move.

Finally, with his entire green face covered in dense cracks, Li Feng activated the Mind Stone and raised a Nuclear Reaction Fireball covered in spirit flames as he charged it up.

The Pseudo-Seraph Feather took effect first. The corroded evil god howled in agony, but It could do nothing about it, because the Scythe in Its chest was taking the opportunity to consume Its soul.

If It dared split Its attention to resist the Pseudo-Seraph Feather, Carter Slade, with two cat tails growing inside the Scythe, would increase the rate at which he drained Its soul.

Worst of all, Its limbs had been imprisoned by time. To break free, It first needed strength, but It also had to resist the threat of the Pseudo-Seraph Feather and the Scythe. Where could It find any spare strength to escape Time Stop? It could only watch helplessly as Li Feng prepared a high-powered spell.

More than twenty seconds later, only a thin, nearly transparent green mask remained on Li Feng’s face, and he had only enough Mana left in his body to open a Portal.

I can’t keep charging it. I still need Loki’s Mask to resist the corrosive energy on my arm.

With that thought, Li Feng viciously hurled the Nuclear Reaction Fireball at the evil god and instantly opened a Portal to escape the Mirror Dimension.

"Boom—"

After a deafening blast, a mushroom cloud rose within the Mirror Dimension.

Back in the real world, Li Feng looked at the spatial cracks that had inexplicably appeared around him and grinned silently. Not bad. The Mirror Dimension hasn’t completely shattered yet. I still have a chance to loot the body.

But before I go back to the Mirror Dimension to pick up the loot, I need to heal my arm first. Li Feng looked at his glossy black right arm, then called out to the dumbfounded Kurt in the distance, "Buddy, do me a favor."

"Me?" Kurt pointed at himself. Seeing Li Feng nod, he looked as if both his parents had died. Staggering toward green-headed Li Feng with a smile uglier than crying, he asked, "Sir, what do you need me to do?"

"Help me cut off my right arm," Li Feng said lightly despite panting heavily, as if the arm being cut off did not belong to him.

Kurt looked at Li Feng’s blackened arm and felt like crying. How could he possibly dare swing a blade at Li Feng? Wouldn’t that be courting death? If Li Feng became unhappy afterward, he would definitely be the first to suffer.

Kurt pointed at Julie in the distance and said with a faint sob in his voice, "She studied medicine. Why not let her see whether your arm can still be saved?"

Save my ass. My severed limb regeneration is better than any doctor. If I weren’t afraid to cut it off myself, what would I need you for? Li Feng said impatiently, "Hurry up, or I’ll cut you down."

As he spoke, Li Feng picked up a branch from the ground and bit down on it like in a movie, signaling Kurt to stop dragging his feet if he was a man.

Damn it, am I really this unlucky? Kurt glanced around, feeling slightly relieved inside, then said hesitantly, "Sir, I don’t have a blade."

The moment Kurt finished speaking, a group of fully armed soldiers rushed toward Li Feng with their guns raised.

Li Feng could tell that the soldiers truly wanted to kill him, and he understood why they were doing it.

They had seen him fighting the evil god earlier. Now that the evil god had not left the Mirror Dimension, they believed It was most likely dead.

And he was someone capable of slaughtering an evil god.

A single evil god had already thrown this world into chaos. What kind of trouble would someone even stronger than an evil god cause? What if Li Feng was even more vile than the evil god? Then this world would truly be finished.

So, it would be better to eliminate Li Feng while he was weak and remove all future dangers to this world.

There was another concern as well.

If the evil god was not dead, they could use Li Feng’s life to earn Its favor.

At the very least, Li Feng’s death might ease some of the evil god’s anger.

From their perspective, Li Feng also felt that it would be best if he died. But what about from Li Feng’s perspective?

I worked my ass off to kill the evil god for you people. Fine, don’t thank me—but you fucking want to kill me too?

Furious, Li Feng’s lips twitched, and a trace of scarlet appeared in his eyes. He quickly released the Dementors and coldly ordered, "Kill them. Leave no one alive in the entire building."

Wangcai glanced at the extremely weakened Li Feng. If possible, he actually hoped Li Feng would die. After all, if Li Feng died, he, as a slave, would be free.

Unfortunately, under the Slave Contract, Wangcai could only obediently slaughter the soldiers before him. After leaving several of his kin behind to protect Li Feng, he led the main force toward the building.

Knowing that something was wrong with his mind again, Li Feng closed his eyes and said, "Those soldiers have blades on them." After a pause, he snarled, "Hurry up."

Kurt was startled by Li Feng’s tone. Trembling, he ran to the soldiers, found a machete among the corpses, then trembled all the way back to Li Feng’s side.

Li Feng looked at Kurt’s shaking hands. With your hands trembling like that, I’m afraid you’ll chop me to death.

Covering his face, Li Feng raised his shield and exposed his right arm outside it. Taking a breath, he said, "Use force. Finish it in one blow. Afterward, I’ll give you some little gifts—real good stuff."

I don’t want good stuff. I want to go home. Kurt smiled stiffly, took several deep breaths to steady himself, then finally swung the blade down at Li Feng’s right arm.

The instant his arm was severed, Li Feng’s eyes bulged, and his forehead was instantly covered in sweat. The pain made him bite the wooden stick in his mouth clean through as he cursed, "Fuck, it hurts—hurts—hurts—"

Before the pain knocked him unconscious, Li Feng hurriedly spent his last bit of Mana to cast severed limb regeneration on himself.

Beside him, Kurt stared wide-eyed as bone grew out of Li Feng’s right arm from nowhere, followed by blood vessels, then muscle and skin.

Several seconds later, Li Feng, his right hand restored, panted heavily and slumped onto the ground as he removed the mask.

Beside him, Kurt stared blankly at Li Feng, who had suddenly changed from a twenty-year-old into a man in his fifties, then silently lowered his head.

Li Feng had expected the change in appearance long ago. After all, Loki’s Mask’s side effect was consuming life force, and overdrawing its power meant burning his lifespan.

But Li Feng did not care. If he wanted a long life, he had plenty of methods.

Unfortunately, there was no way to repair the shattered Loki’s Mask.

Li Feng sighed. This was one of my trump cards.

Li Feng took several healing and Mana recovery potions from his shoulder bag and poured them into his mouth. Then he took out several Magical Artifacts, patted Kurt’s shoulder with his newly grown right hand, and smiled. "Pick a gift for yourself. I’ll explain what the artifacts do later. I need to recover some Mana first."

After saying that, Li Feng sat cross-legged on the ground and ignored the dumbfounded Kurt.

More than ten minutes later, after recovering a little Mana, Li Feng recalled the Dementors and impatiently opened the Mirror Dimension to loot the body.

Inside the Mirror Dimension, Li Feng glanced at the crystal walls covered in cracks, then at the evil god lying in a pool of blood. He released the Dementors and ordered, "Check whether there are still any souls in the space."

Only after the Dementors confirmed that there were no signs of any living beings in the space did Li Feng ride Dark Cloud slowly toward the evil god.
