Reverse Universe, Second Transformation
On a golden beach, a man in swim trunks lay on a lounge chair with his hands behind his head, enjoying a rare sunbath.
The Professor rose somewhat stiffly. He had not noticed when the other man had appeared.
"It’s fine, Professor. You and I are both men. What’s wrong with soaking up the sun together?"
The man’s voice was frivolous, utterly devoid of the airs of the Lord of Azure Sky.
Yet the Professor still frowned. Ever since Mercenary Tao had exposed his true gender as male in a mission world, he had consciously trained himself, learning many of women’s habitual gestures.
Without even looking, the man understood what the Professor was thinking.
"Ha, your disguise is quite good. But at my level, many things are no longer secrets."
"Ye Kai, I know you want to find your sister. I also know Loman deliberately gave you that card."
The Professor’s muscles instantly tensed. Being doxxed like this in the Space was an extremely terrifying experience, almost as if someone had put a knife to your throat while you could not even see who they were.
His muscles twitched twice as if spasming. He quickly took two deep breaths and regained his composure.
He lay back down on the lounge chair and put on his sunglasses, concealing the look in his eyes.
"President, can you tell me just what Reincarnators at your level are capable of?"
"Destroying a city with one strike? Toppling the existing order? Breaking free of Infinite Dimensional Space’s control?"
The man tilted his head. Through his sunglasses, he looked at the man who had made his Avatar look exactly like his sister. He probably wanted to use this method to lure out whoever had killed his sister, or at least find out who knew her identity.
This kid might not possess Astounding Talent, but he was indeed calm—a qualified Reincarnator.
He did not probe further into the man’s thoughts and merely lay back again.
"To a certain extent, all of those things can be done…"
The Professor froze, not expecting an affirmative answer.
In his view, the fact that order still existed in the real world meant Reincarnators must have limitations.
Either they could not directly contend with the real world’s highest authorities, or they were constrained by the Space.
But President Cao Qi had said they could do all of it…
"Then…"
"Destroying a city with one strike sounds simple. Quite a few Fierce-tier Reincarnators can do it, but few can withstand the punishment brought by using such abilities in the real world."
"Likewise, toppling the existing order is not difficult. The difficult part is avoiding punishment and establishing a new order."
"As for breaking free of the Space’s control… Heh, Professor, when have you ever seen me participate in a deployment?"
The Professor only half understood. There seemed to be many secrets among Reincarnators above the Third Tier, secrets not shared with low-tier Reincarnators.
"Then Supreme Experts can no longer be deployed by the Space?"
"If that’s the case, wouldn’t the Space’s efforts to cultivate Reincarnators to the level of Supreme Experts be completely pointless?"
Cao Qi clicked his tongue.
"No, no, the Space and Reincarnators share a relationship of mutual ruin. As for Reincarnators like us, we naturally take part in deployments voluntarily during certain missions…"
His meaning was obvious, and the Professor immediately understood.
"You mean that newly appeared secondary Space has Supreme Experts inside it?!"
Cao Qi merely smiled without answering.
"Cryptic talkers deserve a beating."
Midnight Watch stood beside Bai Cangshu, her figure naturally concealed within Bai Cangshu’s shadow.
If she had not spoken first, even Bai Cangshu would have found it difficult to notice her presence.
This ability was quite bizarre.
Ahead of them, the Supernatural Ability User Sela floated in the air, his body twisting continuously with increasing force.
Blood began to flow from many parts of his body.
"I’m really not being cryptic. I really don’t know!"
"The Sage took Tang Sanzang’s information away. That’s all I know!"
He truly regretted coming to carry out this mission.
Tatsumaki frowned. She had indeed detected no signs of lying.
By now, the sun had begun to set. Saitama claimed he needed to go back and properly say goodbye to the supermarket owner. Of course, Genos said the main reason was that today was the day the supermarket owner handed out weekly employee benefits.
Thus, the two had already left ahead of them, though they had agreed to investigate the truth behind this world’s changes.
Bai Cangshu looked down at Red Dust, considering whether he should kill him now.
The other man possessed some kind of resurrection ability, and his strength rose dramatically after reviving. But with Tatsumaki here, even if he resurrected several more times, he would only end up being casually crushed to death.
However, such a kill might not produce a Scarlet Drop.
The other option was naturally to wait until he recovered, then find a way to activate Yama’s trait again and ensure a one-hit kill.
Then there was another choice…
"Hey, Miss Tatsumaki, there’s someone here who seems to have broken free of that Sage’s restriction."
As he spoke, he raised his foot and stomped down fiercely.
Crack!
His throat shattered instantly, and even his spine was directly crushed.
Red Dust, who had fallen into a state of "brain death" after Unlimited Void had flooded him with massive amounts of information, offered no resistance. He twitched a few times before dying.
Bai Cangshu saw that the Space had indeed notified him that he had killed Red Dust.
His resurrection ability was not an external force, but some kind of item or medicine?!
Theoretically, if it were immortality granted by a bloodline, then one would not truly die.
Just like Bai Cangshu and that Ajin, no matter how they were attacked, as long as their immortality had not truly been nullified and they could still recover, they would not be judged dead.
But Red Dust would be judged as truly dead after being attacked.
In other words, according to the Space’s judgment, attacks on him truly did take his life, only…
Intense red True Qi emerged from his dantian once more. Red Dust instantly rose from the ground, and his throat began to pulsate back to life inch by inch.
Then his True Qi erupted with a boom, and heaven and earth changed color once more.
That powerful True Qi was already affecting those nearby so strongly that they could barely control themselves.
Lilith, Loka, and the others instantly turned pale, feeling as though wave-like Inner Force were continuously pushing them backward.
Fubuki’s eyes widened as well. This presence was already one only the stronger S-Class Heroes possessed.
This guy…
She looked at the man floating in the air. The next moment, his eyes opened.
Red Dust’s heart thudded wildly. His memories still lingered on the instant he had been struck by Satoru Gojo’s Domain Expansion technique. Still shaken with fear, he touched his chest.
"I’m not dead…"
"Reverse Universe’s second transformation?! Hahahaha!"
He burst into wild laughter. His internal force shook the surrounding air until it began exploding, and his astonishing aura stunned everyone.
"You’re too noisy. Shut up!"
The girl shouted angrily, and the exploding air abruptly contracted like a bubble, wrapping around Red Dust.
Red Dust’s eyes widened in shock. As he looked at the green-haired girl holding him aloft with one hand, his gaze quickly cleared.
"The Terrible… Tatsumaki…"
