Sabretooth and Blink
As soon as the Black Supervisor finished speaking, Inessa, dressed provocatively and boasting a smoking-hot figure, spoke up:
"I’m not interested in some tiny organization that doesn’t even have a Level 4 Mutant. Boss, send someone else."
Though she was dressed sexily and showed plenty of fair skin, making it easy for people to imagine dragging her into bed and ravaging her viciously,
none of the men in the meeting room looked at her.
Not only that, even now that she had spoken, none of the men, including the Black Supervisor, focused their eyes on her.
Others might not know Inessa’s ability and be unable to resist looking her over, but the men in the meeting room would not.
Because they knew that once their eyes fell on Inessa, they could easily be affected by her superpower.
"I’m not discussing this with you. This is the division head’s decision."
"If you don’t want to go, explain it to the division head yourself."
The Black Supervisor said slowly.
Upon hearing his words, the naturally seductive expression on Inessa’s face vanished without a trace.
"Since it’s the division head’s decision, I’ll make the trip."
After saying that, Inessa rose to her feet and left the meeting room without looking back.
Once she had left, Slater and Bourne also got up and departed.
Santa Ana.
After setting the manor ablaze, Richard drove to Santa Ana.
Santa Ana was a city in Orange County in southern California. It lay southeast of Los Angeles, only fifty-five kilometers away.
Though he was now a Mutant, and an unregistered Mutant at that, Richard had no intention of hiding somewhere deserted.
Not only that, he planned to head directly to Los Angeles and find somewhere to settle down there.
The most dangerous place is the safest place! Los Angeles was the city with the most Mutants in all of California.
Though the Department of Mutant Affairs’ largest branch in California was the Los Angeles Branch, quite a few unregistered Mutants were hiding in Los Angeles.
Richard’s plan was simple: settle down in Los Angeles, grow stronger, and look for opportunities to Plunder more Mutants’ superpowers.
As long as he became strong enough, he would not need to worry even if others learned he was an unregistered Mutant.
Magneto was a perfect example!
The whole world knew that he was an unregistered Mutant and the Hawks leader among the Mutant Race who opposed the United States government.
Yet even now, the United States government could do nothing about Magneto.
They could not even arrest him, let alone wipe out the Brotherhood of Mutants he had founded.
After driving to Santa Ana, Richard sold the Ford Pickup Truck for over twenty thousand US Dollars.
Then, he found a twenty-four-hour chain restaurant, intending to have lunch there while considering his next move.
The original owner’s father had been taken away by agents from the Department of Mutant Affairs.
That meant both Richard and Crimson Manor had already been exposed.
Though the original owner’s father would not voluntarily reveal anything, once he fell into the hands of the Department of Mutant Affairs, it was no longer a matter of whether he wanted to talk.
For example, all they needed was to find a Mutant with Telepathy, and the original owner’s father would reveal everything clearly.
Moreover, judging by the Department of Mutant Affairs’ usual methods, all of the original owner’s father’s assets had either been seized or placed under close surveillance by now.
However, this was not much of a problem for Richard.
Though he could not use the money in the bank accounts now, when he burned down the manor’s main building, he had taken all the cash, jewelry, and accessories from the safes in the original owner’s father’s bedroom and study and placed them in the System Space.
As long as he did not use the previous bank cards, the Department of Mutant Affairs would never find him, no matter how closely they monitored those accounts.
Of course, that was assuming the Department of Mutant Affairs had not issued a wanted notice for him.
Otherwise, even using cash would still put him at risk of exposure.
In this world, Ordinary People’s discrimination against Mutants was exceptionally severe.
Combined with the government’s propaganda and encouragement, the discrimination Mutants suffered now was not much better than what enslaved Black people had faced in the past.
Not long after he sat down, the waiter brought over Richard’s order.
Hot dogs, bacon, fried eggs, French fries, hamburgers…
After glancing at the utterly standard American food before him, Richard began enjoying his first meal since arriving in this world.
At the same time, he considered whether he should first find a Mutant organization to tide him over.
Before he became truly powerful, joining an organization was not a bad option.
However, he quickly dismissed the idea.
There was no need to join a small Mutant organization.
As for famous Mutant organizations like the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants,
many people wanted to join the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants, but very few actually could.
There was no need to even mention the X-Men.
The X-Men were not an organization one could join just because one wanted to.
Though everyone knew that the School for Mutants in Westchester, New York, was the X-Men’s headquarters,
neither the X-Men nor the School for Mutants suited an unregistered Mutant like Richard.
As for the Brotherhood of Mutants,
not only did ordinary people not know where the Brotherhood of Mutants’ headquarters was, even the United States government did not know.
Otherwise, the United States government would have sent people to eliminate the Brotherhood of Mutants, which had been labeled a "terrorist organization," long ago.
Forget it!
I’ll rely on myself! Richard abandoned the idea of joining another organization and focused on finishing the lunch in front of him.
Just as he was nearly done eating, the restaurant doors were pushed open. A rugged, imposing middle-aged man entered with a seventeen- or eighteen-year-old girl so beautiful that she did not lose out even to Hollywood actresses.
Though it was his first time seeing them, Richard recognized them immediately.
Sabretooth Victor!
And Blink Clarice! Both Sabretooth Victor and Blink Clarice looked much the same as they had in the films.
If there was any difference, it was that Blink Clarice was far younger now than she had been in Days of Future Past.
The moment Richard saw Blink Clarice, a line surfaced uncontrollably in his mind.
"With her own strength, she defined an era’s beauty standards, then effortlessly shaved away the jawlines of women across both sides of the strait and three regions!"
After learning that he had crossed into the Marvel Universe, he knew he would eventually encounter characters from films and comics.
But he had not expected that day to come so soon.
Though he was somewhat surprised, he had no intention of approaching Sabretooth Victor and Blink Clarice.
He did not deny that Blink Clarice was indeed remarkably eye-catching.
But he had not forgotten that he was currently just an unremarkable Beta-level Mutant.
Even if he wanted to build a harem like other transmigrators, that was not something he needed to consider now.
Women would only slow down the speed at which I drew my blade!
Until he had enough power to protect himself, such as being able to wield Masamune and cut his way from the White House to the Pentagon, back and forth, raising and lowering his blade without blinking for three days and three nights, he would not waste too much time on women.
Though Richard had no intention of approaching Sabretooth, who clearly did not look easy to talk to, or Clarice, who looked exactly like that woman in her younger days, Sabretooth, with his Animal Senses, immediately noticed Richard’s gaze as he sized up him and Clarice.
