Sentinel Robot
After buying the food they needed, Richard and Clarice paid and left the supermarket, returning to the original alley.
Just as Clarice was about to create a Spatial Gate back to the apartment, Richard spoke up.
"Don’t make a Spatial Gate yet. A few blind idiots have shown up."
Richard pointed toward the entrance of the alley.
Following his gaze, Clarice saw the American girls who had approached him in the supermarket earlier.
And the group of men beside them.
Although she did not know these men, one look at their clothes, the way they walked, and the gaudy metal chains around their necks was enough to tell that they were no good.
Simply put, they looked like typical street punks.
"Give me half a minute. I’ll deal with them quickly!"
Richard handed the shopping bags to Clarice.
Then, he walked toward the punks, whose expressions were anything but friendly.
There was no need to ask. These punks had clearly come to stand up for the American girls Richard had rejected.
Though those American girls obviously seemed promiscuous, that did not mean they would not care about being rejected.
Especially when they had been rejected by someone they thought could never possibly turn them down.
In their eyes, Richard should have happily accepted their invitation, then done some things with them that would make everyone very happy.
But Richard had rejected them without even thinking about it.
To them, this was not only a rare occurrence, but also a serious blow.
Because of their gorgeous looks and hot figures, very few men ever turned down their advances.
Not only that, they each had quite a few simps.
Such as the punks beside them.
Although getting rejected while hitting on someone was perfectly normal, these American girls clearly could not accept it.
Or rather, unless they taught the blind Richard a lesson, they would not be able to swallow their anger.
Richard could not use Telepathy.
But he knew exactly what these girls were thinking.
Before his transmigration, he had encountered plenty of girls like them.
There were plenty of self-proclaimed little princesses in both his former world and this one who, because they were pretty, believed they had special privileges and could never be rejected or opposed.
When he reached the punks, Richard could not be bothered to talk to them and attacked directly.
Bang bang bang bang bang…
Using less than one-tenth of his strength, Richard knocked the punks to the ground, where they let out miserable, ghostly wails.
"I’ll give you five seconds. Get the hell out of here!"
Richard said this to the punks on the ground and the stunned American little princesses.
Though surprised, the punks and the American little princesses did not hesitate at all. They fled the alley as fast as they could, vanishing from Richard and Clarice’s sight.
After they had completely disappeared, Richard returned to Clarice and took the shopping bags from her hands.
"Alright, it’s settled. Make a Spatial Gate so we can head back."
Richard said to Clarice.
"Mhm!"
Clarice nodded and tossed out purple Spatial Energy, creating a Spatial Gate back to the apartment.
After returning to the apartment, Clarice immediately got busy in the kitchen.
As for Richard and Sabretooth, they sat on the living room sofa without saying a word, staring each other down.
After nearly a minute of this silent "standoff," Sabretooth was the first to crack. He frowned and said to Richard, "Do you like Clarice?"
"Didn’t you like Beautiful Women when you were young?"
Richard asked in return.
What? Sabretooth froze for a moment.
Clearly, he had not expected Richard to answer like that.
Though surprised, he had to admit that Richard’s temperament suited his tastes quite well.
However, that still did not mean he was willing to watch Richard carry off the little cabbage he had carefully raised for so many years, pot and all.
No father wanted to see the little cabbage in his home rooted around by some other pig.
Even if that pig was handsome and carried himself with great dignity.
Although Clarice was only his adopted daughter and not his biological daughter.
Sabretooth still had the same mindset as any other father.
"You’re not right for Clarice!"
"You can’t give Clarice the life she wants!"
Sabretooth said with a solemn expression.
"You’re not Clarice. How do you know what kind of life she wants?"
Richard immediately Responded.
"You… No matter what you say, I won’t agree to you being with Clarice."
"Once this is over, everyone will go their separate ways. We’ll never see each other again."
Suppressing his displeasure, Sabretooth continued.
"I have no objection to going our separate ways."
"But whether we’ll meet again in the future is another matter."
Richard looked calmly at Sabretooth.
Just as Sabretooth was about to say something else, Clarice came out of the kitchen and asked Richard:
"Um… do you eat spicy food?"
"I’m fine with anything. I’m not a picky eater."
Richard Responded.
"Mhm."
Clarice nodded, turned around, and returned to the kitchen to continue preparing lunch.
Department of Mutant Affairs.
Los Angeles Branch.
Intelligence supervisor Jack jogged all the way to the Action Department and headed straight for the Action Department Director’s office.
Without knocking, he pushed open the door and walked inside.
"Aiden and the others are dead!"
Jack quickly came before Black Supervisor Benjamin and handed him the tablet computer in his hand.
Taking the tablet computer Jack handed over, Benjamin immediately began reviewing it.
This was…
The moment he saw the video on the tablet computer, Benjamin’s expression became incomparably grim.
The footage playing on the tablet computer was live footage filmed by a drone.
More precisely, it was footage from the RV Camp.
At this moment, the RV Camp had been taken over by the Los Angeles police.
The forensic examiners who had arrived at the RV Camp were conducting a preliminary examination of Aiden and the others’ bodies.
As Benjamin watched the footage, Jack said, "The Los Angeles police received a report from the RV Camp’s manager and dispatched officers to the camp immediately."
"Just as you can see, Aiden and the others are all dead."
"The officers at the scene realized how serious the situation was and contacted their superiors."
"I’ve already contacted the commander at the scene and told him to preserve the site as much as possible."
"Also, I’ve already sent investigators over there…"
Bang! Before Jack could finish, Benjamin crushed the tablet computer in his hand and rose to his feet with a dark expression.
"Have your people submit an investigation report as soon as possible!"
"Once the report is ready, come with me to the division head’s office. I’m going to apply to the division head for authorization to use a Sentinel Robot!"
