Sin of Lust (3K First Update)
Bai Cangshu walked out of the military camp. In a place like Northern Myanmar, although there was a government, all kinds of factions stood side by side, and nearly every one of them had its own private army. Without a group of people who could carry guns, no amount of money would let you survive here.
Bai Cangshu emerged from the camp empty-handed. He had not expected that his actions over the past two days had already spread to East Xia, nor that Song Xian, a Reincarnator from Binhai City, would know about them. This made Bai Cangshu realize that the chaos in Northern Myanmar was likely already under East Xia’s surveillance.
Thinking about it, though, it made sense. Since Bai Cangshu knew that some Reincarnators from the East District had chosen to develop themselves in Northern Myanmar, East Xia naturally could not simply stand by while so many dangerous people gathered in a neighboring country without making preparations.
Bai Cangshu took the towel handed to him by the pale-faced woman, wiped the blood from his hands, then casually tossed the towel back onto her.
This woman was named Du Enqin, which translated to something like Madam Enqin. Myanmar people differed from East Xia people. The locals had no surnames, only given names, with a title denoting status added before the name.
For example, "U" meant mister, "Du" meant madam, "Ma" meant sister, and "Bo" meant officer.
The way one addressed someone could directly reveal their status.
This woman was considered quite influential in the region. She had a master-disciple relationship with a highly respected local religious figure, which was why the local administrative officer had married her, granting her power.
Unfortunately, no matter how great that power was, it was useless in the face of pure violence.
The woman merely glanced at the small building where her husband was hiding. The heavy stench of blood made her heart race, but she did not hesitate for long before turning to follow Bai Cangshu.
"Officer Bai, may I ask if you are from the Bai Family of Kokang?"
Du Enqin was frightened by the horrifying scene from earlier, but she could not help entertaining new thoughts. Possessing power as an administrative officer’s wife and possessing power herself were entirely different matters.
She had heard that recently, formidable figures had emerged throughout Myanmar. Within Kokang’s Four Great Families and the Northern Myanmar government, there were occasional rumors of warriors daring enough to single-handedly take down teams of dozens.
She had never expected to encounter one today—a man who had charged alone into a camp of dozens and emerged completely unharmed, leaving severed limbs scattered everywhere. It was like an R-rated action movie playing out before her eyes.
Kokang was another major administrative region bordering Wa State. It was equally rife with all kinds of people, but controlled by several great family factions. Compared with Wa State, its chaos was no less severe.
Bai Cangshu answered her question without emotion. He felt the strengthened Satsui no Hado; its destructive power had increased by roughly 50%.
Seeing that Bai Cangshu remained silent, Du Enqin recalled the Chinese man who had contacted her, Lin Qinfu. He had said that as long as she helped Boss Bai turn Wa State into a "Paradise City," not only would she be allowed to live, she would also receive inexhaustible wealth.
She had indeed survived, and now she began to look forward to that inexhaustible wealth. Thus, she started trying to find a way through her connections. In her view, if they wanted to build this so-called Paradise City, smoothing out relations with those above was essential, so she continued speaking.
"Boss Bai, thank you for sparing my life. I will definitely help you persuade my teacher. Once we gain the Chan Master’s approval, the people of Wa State will not oppose the rebuilding of Paradise City…"
Bai Cangshu stopped and looked at her, raising a finger and shaking it.
"No. Not for me. For him."
"If he agrees to my plan, he lives."
Du Enqin’s heart clenched. She opened her mouth, with much she wanted to say, but in the end, not a word came out. Explaining how devoutly Buddhist this country was, how much it respected Chan Masters—before someone who had casually slaughtered dozens of people, such explanations would likely have no meaning at all.
The two arrived at a luxurious hotel called Star of Wa State. The attendants at the entrance immediately lowered their heads in salute upon seeing Du Enqin and ushered the pair inside. This hotel belonged to Du Enqin’s husband.
These people still did not know that the owner of the establishment had just been brutally killed.
Du Enqin led Bai Cangshu all the way to the presidential suite on the top floor. She was somewhat impatient to throw herself under this "Boss Bai." His strength, his boldness, and the financial power of the March Group made her feel as if she were witnessing the rise of a king from the grassroots.
She had to dig deep and find whatever advantages she still possessed. Before more people pledged themselves to him, she had to secure a sufficiently high position. For that, she was even willing to…
"Take off your clothes."
She froze, almost thinking she had misheard. He had never shown any interest in her body. Just moments ago, she had been wondering whether she should use some perfume to arouse his desire, yet the moment they entered the room, he said this.
Du Enqin’s heart thudded fiercely twice. Very quickly, her eyes turned seductive. She was a woman willing to do anything for power. Besides, Boss Bai was not only strong and fit, but also exceptionally handsome—far more pleasing to the eye than these dark-skinned locals.
This time, she was not losing out.
Bai Cangshu leaned against the luxurious bed, watching with interest as the woman, who seemed to have prepared quite a few moves even for undressing, slowly revealed herself. She was not merely taking off the clothes covering her body; through those movements, she let her body emerge bit by bit from beneath her dress, half-hidden and half-revealed.
Her skin, fair by Myanmar standards; the softness of someone who had never performed manual labor; her taut abdomen from frequent exercise; and her full chest all began to reveal themselves through fleeting glimpses.
Sitting on the bed and watching this scene, Bai Cangshu saw the space prompt refresh before him.
Sin Karma Sequence Synchronization Rate Updated. Sin of Tyranny Synchronization Rate: 87%Sin of Lust (Synchronization Rate: 9%): Synchronization rate too low. Unable to activate.Tsk.
Bai Cangshu clicked his tongue inwardly, wondering whether this woman simply lacked enough charm. As a Reincarnator pursuing ultimate strength, he also sought perfection in the advancement of the Sin Karma Sequence.
He was not satisfied with merely the Sin of Pride or anything like that. Especially after seeing Roland’s Virtue: Morning Star of Hope, he realized that there had to be more sins and virtues within the space than what had appeared on the surface.
At this moment, Du Enqin seemed to realize that the man before her was not captivated by her. As she continued undressing, she climbed onto the bed and brushed her body against Bai Cangshu’s in a teasing manner.
As a human who could nearly control every muscle in his body, Bai Cangshu could feel the stimulation upon the surface of his skin. Yet in his heart, he felt no desire whatsoever to mate with the woman before him.
Too weak. Far too weak.
Even without activating Transparent World, his natural hearing, smell, and sight alone allowed him to perceive the flaws and fragility of the woman before him.
Beneath the cosmetics, the imperfections on her skin were quite obvious. Her scent was not pure either. Even that body, in Bai Cangshu’s eyes, was far too loose, as if he only needed to exert a little force to tear it apart on the spot.
Bai Cangshu squeezed her soft flesh. Seeing that the synchronization rate of his Sin of Lust had not increased, his expression turned cold. With a shove, the woman tumbled to the floor in panic.
She did not understand what she had done wrong.
Bai Cangshu was a complete pragmatist. Seeing that the woman was of little use to him, he pushed her aside without hesitation.
"I’ll give you three days. Convince your teacher, then tell Lin Qinfu. Otherwise, you know what will happen."
After saying that, Bai Cangshu turned and left the room. As he descended from the hotel, he looked up at the rooftop across the street. A man with both hands in his pockets met Bai Cangshu’s gaze, nodded first as though offering a greeting.
Then he turned around and went straight inside.
The corner of Bai Cangshu’s mouth curled up as he quickly entered the building opposite.
Du Enqin’s efforts had not been entirely useless. At the very least, Bai Cangshu had discovered that it was difficult for him to feel any desire toward women who were too weak.
He had once heard a theory that humanity’s constant urge to mate existed to perpetuate its genes, an instinct of creatures destined to die.
The closer they were to death, the stronger that instinct became.
Yet Bai Cangshu had never noticed such an instinct in himself. There were only two possibilities.
First, he had not yet developed the instinct to reproduce and pass down his genes. Despite encountering several life-and-death crises, Bai Cangshu’s genes had shown absolutely no urge to be continued.
Second, deep down, Bai Cangshu did not regard these weak humans as his own kind, which was why he could not feel desire toward these weak women…
Bai Cangshu analyzed his own psyche as though dissecting a corpse.
He planned to bring Li Qingzi over later and try again…
However, based on the intelligence he had received from Li Qingzi two days ago, some Reincarnators within Goryeo had also begun to develop other ideas due to the will of the Great Sun of Finality.
From the moment he learned of the Infinite Dimensional Space’s existence, Bai Cangshu had actually foreseen such a future.
Humans were creatures with cruelty embedded in their bones.
As long as a portion of them gained power surpassing that of most of their kind, that portion would inevitably seek every possible way to rise above the others and rule them.
Reincarnators were precisely such a special group. At first, either because they were weak or because their numbers were too small, they hid among ordinary people and avoided exposure.
But as the number of deployments continued to increase and Reincarnators grew ever stronger, there would inevitably be those who tried to challenge the existing order.
And after being crushed time and again, a sufficiently powerful individual would emerge and completely overthrow the existing order.
With a smile on his lips, Bai Cangshu entered a building that appeared, judging from its decor, to be a casino.
After Bai Cangshu entered, he found that everyone playing the various games had stopped at the same time. The attendants and beautiful female dealers all turned to look at him together, their expressions rigid and terrifying.
In an instant, the enormous casino was left with only the hollow music of the slot machines.
Bai Cangshu paid no attention to the scene. With the corner of his mouth raised, his gaze passed directly over the controlled people and landed on the man standing beside a row of slot machines toward the rear. Though the man had changed his face, the rhythm of his breathing and the cadence of his heartbeats remained in Bai Cangshu’s memory.
When the man met Bai Cangshu’s eyes, his pupils contracted. Instinctively, he focused his gaze, and an intense psychic force erupted in an instant.
Boom!
