Strengthening Bloodline, Tyrant Blood

"I want to use Tyrant Sky Blood as material to strengthen my bloodline."

Bai Cangshu did not really care about this Gantz appraisal. He merely glanced at the exchange list before putting it into his Backpack.

Its greatest value lay in trading.

Though Bai Cangshu had no use for Gantz’s weapons and items, they should be quite useful to low- and mid-tier reincarnators.

Whether it was the Reinforcement Suit that could boost attributes or those immensely powerful weapons.

What Bai Cangshu needed more was Gantz’s cloning technology. With that technology, he could do many rather terrifying things.

Bai Cangshu put away those dangerous thoughts and met the Goddess’s ruby-like eyes, choosing to strengthen his bloodline.

Spend 1 B-rank Anomaly Point and 12,000 Dimensional Points to use Tyrant Sky Blood (Trace) as material to strengthen and integrate it into Physique: Myriad Tribulations Yin Spirit Yellow Springs Physique?
After strengthening, you will have a 0.003% chance of obtaining Physique: Tyrant Sky Physique (a physique conflict will require removing your original physique).
7% chance of obtaining Tyrant Sky Physique traits.
34% chance of obtaining additional unknown traits.
52% chance of obtaining 4–8 attribute points.
7% chance of suffering bloodline corrosion.

Bai Cangshu looked at the prompt before him and directly chose to accept.

His luck had always been good. Besides, even if bloodline corrosion occurred, the Goddess could remove it with Singularity Points. It was hardly much of a price to pay.

You have lost 1 B-rank Anomaly Point.
You have lost 12,000 Dimensional Points.
You have lost Item: Tyrant Sky Blood.

That drop of purple Tyrant Sky Blood suddenly shattered, turning into countless purple particles that shot into Bai Cangshu’s body.

In an instant, Bai Cangshu felt an overwhelmingly tyrannical aura rise from his bloodline. Yet moments later, it could no longer sustain itself and was drowned by Myriad Death Intent.

With a raised hand from the Goddess, scorching heat erupted within Bai Cangshu’s body. Yellow Springs and Myriad Death Intent were completely evaporated, allowing that trace of Tyrant Sky Blood to fall upon the cradle of Bai Cangshu’s bloodline.

Rip—

Bai Cangshu frowned. Excruciating pain tore through his entire body, as though a savage force were ripping at his flesh from within, instantly bruising every muscle in his body.

But soon, the injuries began to heal.

Bai Cangshu activated Limit Break Spiral and sensed vast numbers of cells dying within his body. A batch of cells tainted by Tyrant Sky Blood was aggressively corroding the others.

These cells did not merge with the original cells to form flesh and tissue, causing injuries to continuously appear inside Bai Cangshu’s body.

Was this going to become the negative effect of bloodline corrosion?

Bai Cangshu immediately activated Life Return, releasing intense cellular vitality.

Masses of flesh cells wrapped around those cells tainted by Tyrant Sky Blood and began to devour them.

Tyrant Sky Blood was dispersed even further.

As Tyrant Sky Blood completely dispersed throughout his body, Bai Cangshu felt the vitality of his flesh increase dramatically.

If his cellular vitality had previously been enough to support rapid recovery from all kinds of injuries, then now, his cells possessed the ability to withstand damage of considerable intensity.

Moreover, a faint purple hue lingered within them.

Strengthening complete. Your bloodline has gained new traits.
You have obtained Ancient Resilience: Intermediate (Rare): Your flesh cells possess additional resilience and can withstand low-intensity damage.
You have obtained Tyrant Blood (Faint) (Extremely Rare): There is an extremely small chance to negate the effects of any other ability. This trait has priority and can be strengthened and upgraded.

Bai Cangshu found that although he had, as expected, failed to obtain the special physique known as the Tyrant Sky Physique or any bloodline traits, he had gained two new traits at once.

And both were defensive traits.

According to Bai Cangshu’s understanding, Ancient Resilience: Intermediate meant that under normal circumstances, any friction or contact between flesh during an attack would cause large numbers of cells to die. The effects were unnoticeable only because cells constantly divided and renewed themselves.

But now, Bai Cangshu’s body cells had been influenced by this tyrannical bloodline from the ancient era, becoming resilient in themselves.

His defense had received a considerable boost.

This was an enhancement to the most fundamental defensive ability. It would provide unimaginable bonuses to acquired defensive abilities such as Armament Haki and Flame Dragon Scales.

Exactly what kind of damage it could withstand still required testing.

The bloodline trait Tyrant Blood was even more special. It was derived from the Tyrant Sky Physique, that tyrannical physique of the ancient era, and could not be affected by other abilities.

It could neither be strengthened by ordinary abilities nor controlled, restrained, weakened, or even harmed by them.

This was the key factor that allowed the Tyrant Sky Physique to constantly contend with the Ancient Saint Physique for the title of invincible in close combat.

Moreover, this trait could be strengthened again.

Bai Cangshu clicked his tongue inwardly. This kind of label meant "money sink," but since Show had managed to obtain this drop of Tyrant Sky Blood, he most likely knew who else possessed more of it.

It was not something with a price but no market.

In the real world, East Xia, somewhere in Binhai City.

Song Xian suddenly sensed another voice appearing in his mind.

The voice came in fragments, as though it were suffering interference.

"Song Xian, be careful. An Overlimit-rank reincarnator is suspected of entering the country. The coordinates are in the central mountain region!"

Song Xian shot to his feet, his expression filled with shock.

How could this be…

Cao Qi had personally promised that those top-tier figures would not appear in East Xia.

Without time to explain, he rushed out of the building under Luoshui and the others’ worried gazes.

He even jumped straight down from the third floor. Though this would not violate the Space Regulations, it was still the kind of excessive display Song Xian usually avoided at all costs.

Song Xian immediately returned to the hidden safe house, where there was communications equipment that could not be eavesdropped on.

Once connected, a great deal of information immediately began converging from all directions.

Song Xian also immediately contacted the people in charge of the Southern Heavenly Gate Project before setting off at once.

Meanwhile, deep within a range of towering mountains.

A man with long black hair looked at the mist-shrouded peaks and smiled. Then, cupping his hands around his mouth, he shouted fiercely into the mountains.

"Bai Cangshu!"

Bai—Cang—shu—

His voice echoed through the mountains.

At the same time, he tilted his head and quietly listened to the sounds between the ranges.

Suddenly, as though he had heard something, he took a single step forward. The next moment, he was already within the mountain mist. After only a few steps, he had crossed the towering ranges.

Before long, a thatched cottage appeared in his field of vision.

A hunched old man stood there, gazing into the mountains.

He muttered to himself.

"Has little Cangshu come back?"

"He probably… won’t be coming back…"

Crack.

The sound of leaves being crushed rang out, yet the old man remained unaware.

Shiyu stood behind the old man, a knowing smile on his face.

"Sir, could you tell me who gave you that baby back then?"

"It does not matter if you cannot hear me. You only need to think about it… then let me see…"

Above Shiyu’s head, half a crown shone brilliantly.

Eternal Discourse could permanently anchor a person’s existence and cognition, preventing them from being affected by any Cognitive Interference. Time-based, reincarnation-based, Causality Law-based effects, and the like could not affect his cognition.

In other words, even if someone used abilities or items to travel through time and alter the past, Shiyu, who possessed Eternal Discourse, would still know the correct timeline.

He knew that during this final period in which he possessed this half-crown, it was likely his last chance to uncover the hidden scheme of those three people.

Creating souls, forging destinies, bestowing miracles… what exactly are you trying to do?

What exactly is your hypothetical enemy…

"Ha… I really want to see the looks on those people’s faces when I expose them."
