Supreme Cake Intelligence
"The Supreme Intelligence’s transmission… has been restored!?"
Seeing the communicator light up, the Kree Empire’s upper echelons all revealed delighted expressions. Several of them even let out a long breath of relief. "Great, now we have a solution."
"Yeah, we just need to follow the Supreme Intelligence’s orders."
Several rather scrawny Kree nodded in agreement. "The Supreme Intelligence’s orders have never been wrong. We just need to carry them out."
"Open the communicator, now."
The burly Kree holding a High-Tech Battle Axe immediately waved his hand.
The communicator was quickly activated, and an order from the Supreme Intelligence came through. Since the Supreme Intelligence was something akin to artificial intelligence, the order was not a video transmission, but a simple line of text.
There was not much information in that message.
It was only a short sentence.
Attention, all Kree Empire high-ranking officials. Proceed to the temple immediately and surrender unconditionally to the invader."!?"
After seeing that order,
the Kree higher-ups immediately erupted into an uproar.
"H-How is this possible?!" One of the Kree commanders stared at the order, his face filled with disbelief. "What is the Supreme Intelligence doing? How could we possibly surrender unconditionally!?"
"Exactly!"
Someone else immediately roared indignantly, "The Kree Empire is the strongest military empire. We can even wage war against both the Nova Corps and the Skrull civilization at the same time… How can we surrender so easily!? What the hell is going on with the Supreme Intelligence!?"
"Do you think… the Supreme Intelligence might have been threatened?"
Another high-ranking official spoke thoughtfully. "It is the supreme god that governs all of Kree civilization, but clearly, it is also a being with independent thoughts. Do you think the Supreme Intelligence might be afraid?"
"In my opinion, it sounds more like it got water in it and short-circuited."
The Kree official with two metal ornaments embedded in his head snorted. "The Supreme Intelligence is an artificial intelligence. The scale of the water released by that invader is enough to turn this place into an ocean planet. The Supreme Intelligence’s temple has been underwater for three hours already. Who knows whether it short-circuited…"
"I don’t care. I cannot accept the Supreme Intelligence’s decision!"
The first Kree official spoke again. "Even if we were to surrender, we absolutely cannot go to the temple now. Every one of us is among Kree civilization’s greatest elites. If that invader kills all of us… then the Kree Empire will truly be finished!"
"The Supreme Intelligence has already uploaded its original data to the servers. As long as we are alive, we can create a new Supreme Intelligence anytime, anywhere."
"Right! We have to find a way to survive!"
"That’s right! We are Kree civilization’s future… Only if we survive will the Kree Empire avoid destruction."
Everyone argued at once, and nearly all of them directed their hostility toward the Supreme Intelligence. Their attitude toward the imperial artificial intelligence they had once respected was completely different from before.
"…"
The Fleet Commander and Alisa merely watched them without saying a word.
Alisa simply could not be bothered to acknowledge them.
As for the Fleet Commander, he knew that even if he issued orders now, it would be useless. The moment they decided to defy the Supreme Intelligence’s command, the Empire’s entire power structure had already begun to crumble.
The Supreme Intelligence was a god created by the Kree.
They had created a god for profit, and when that god could no longer bring them profit, but instead brought disaster and death—
this so-called god…
could naturally be discarded as well.
Knowing that nothing could be done, the Fleet Commander let out a helpless sigh and could only allow them to act as they pleased.
Very soon, the Kree higher-ups finished deliberating. Their conclusion was to flee this place first, preserve as much of their strength as possible, then gather all Kree civilization fleets stationed elsewhere, along with every available fighting force, and find a way to eliminate that detestable invader.
As for the innocent Kree Citizens they often mentioned,
they had basically already made an ‘honorable’ sacrifice.
There was no helping it. After all, they were the true elite class of Kree civilization. It was not that they were selfishly afraid of death; they had to survive for the sake of all Kree civilization. It was a difficult choice, and they too mourned for those Kree, but things had come to this. Those people could only die for their country. Kree civilization would remember their dedication and sacrifices.
And even taking a step back, it was not these high-ranking officials who had killed them. It was the invader who had summoned the horrifying flood. Everything was his fault. If the Kree wanted to hate someone, they could hate him.
In any case, after reaching their decision,
these officials immediately prepared to take action.
However, several of them noticed the Fleet Commander and turned to ask for his opinion. "Fleet Commander, what do you intend to do…?"
"Me?"
The Fleet Commander looked at everyone present, considered it briefly, and said, "You may withdraw first. I will dispatch the fleet to continue attacking the invader while covering your retreat. You are the hope of the Kree. Leave as quickly as possible."
"Is that so? That’s wonderful…"
Hearing the Fleet Commander’s answer, everyone sighed in relief.
There was no helping it. The other side currently controlled a fleet. If he truly insisted on dragging them off to surrender, neither side would have a good outcome. Fortunately, this guy had finally come to his senses.
The flood was still expanding exponentially.
There was not much time left for anyone.
Thus, after reaching their decision, the group of officials quickly left the Imperial Conference Room. They began contacting their own small private fleets, bringing along their families and personal belongings, and hurriedly prepared to leave the planet.
However, it was worth mentioning that the Chief Imperial Researcher did not leave.
"Alisa, are you still willing to remain here?"
The Fleet Commander looked at her, thought for a moment, then asked, "Or if you have changed your mind, that is fine too. You can leave this planet now."
"What do you want me to do?"
Alisa asked.
"Take command of the First, Second, and Fourth Fleet Groups for me. Save as many Kree Citizens here as possible, then lead them to other galaxies." The Fleet Commander said, "As for myself… I intend to carry out the Supreme Intelligence’s order. I will personally meet the invader."
"I see."
Alisa showed little expression, but she nodded slightly. "I accept your request. You… possess the true courage and honor of a Kree. I wish you a safe return."
After saying that, she turned and left.
The Fleet Commander watched her depart. Then he took a deep breath, turned around, and headed toward where his private spacecraft was docked…
Meanwhile, elsewhere.
Beneath the mountain range where Kree civilization’s Supreme Temple stood.
Fang Mo was strolling through the ocean-like hot spring. The Amulet of Tides granted immunity to suffocation and the ability to manipulate water. Right now, being underwater felt like being Aquaman; he felt no discomfort whatsoever.
At the moment, Fang Mo was dismantling the Supreme Temple before him piece by piece.
This metal temple of Kree civilization supposedly housed the Supreme Intelligence’s biological computer core. Fang Mo intended to take the thing apart and touch it. Maybe he could unlock some mod or something.
It had to be said that this metal temple was quite sturdy.
The mountain beneath Fang Mo’s feet was nearly being washed apart, yet the temple did not show the slightest sign of damage. It had probably been made from some kind of alien alloy, and its structure was rather complex as well.
Worried that he might accidentally kill the Supreme Intelligence outright, Fang Mo did not dare use too much force. He could only peel it apart layer by layer.
Just as Fang Mo had expected,
after he dismantled the metal temple’s outer shell, a system prompt suddenly rang out in his mind.
System Prompt: New mod characteristics detected. Download permission may be obtained after research.Hearing the system prompt, Fang Mo stopped his demolition work and began examining the temple’s internal structure.
It had to be said that the temple built by the Kree was truly magnificent. Even submerged underwater, it still looked beautiful, carrying a sort of religious aesthetic, like an ancient ceremonial hall on Earth—except this entire structure was made of metal.
Fang Mo wandered around inside the temple for a while and soon found something resembling an altar.
He recognized this thing.
It seemed to be a device used to communicate with the Supreme Intelligence.
In the original Captain Marvel story, Carol Danvers had used this to communicate with the Supreme Intelligence.
Fang Mo thought about it and suspected that this thing might be what had triggered the mod, so he walked straight toward the altar.
When he stood upon it, pale blue liquid metal quickly surged out from the glass panel beneath him. The living metal slowly extended upward, forming something similar to neural signal connectors that covered Fang Mo’s fingertips, wrists, temples, and other areas.
Feeling the electrical signals transmitted through the living metal, Fang Mo also tried to relax his mind.
Very soon,
the two sides established a mental connection.
When Fang Mo opened his eyes again, he found himself in a vast expanse.
Beneath his feet was a flat metal platform, while boundless black ocean stretched out in every direction. Thick lead-gray clouds blanketed the sky, and only a few faint rays of light barely shone down, attempting to illuminate this dim world.
Just as Fang Mo was observing his surroundings,
a beam of light suddenly shone vertically down over the ocean before him. The seawater began to boil, and a small figure slowly emerged from it.
"Hm?"
The figure that had suddenly appeared caught Fang Mo’s attention, and he instinctively glanced at her.
She was a young girl.
The first thing Fang Mo noticed about her was how slender she was.
The girl looked truly tiny. Her hands were small and pale, her wrists and ankles exceptionally thin and delicate, and even her shoulders looked narrow.
She wore a pure white short-sleeved nightgown. Her hair was black, yet it seemed finer, softer, and fluffier than ordinary hair, draping gently behind her down past her waist. Her bangs were slightly uneven, but long, making her face look small and giving her a quiet, gentle air.
As for her features, her skin was incredibly pale.
Yet she did not look healthy, because it was the bloodless kind of pallor.
Her eyes curved like crescent moons, and her eyelashes curled slightly upward, giving her an adorable appearance. However, her dark circles seemed rather pronounced. Her nose was small and delicate, while her thin lips were lightly pressed together, equally devoid of color.
She wore a pair of pure white stockings on her legs but no shoes. Her pale little feet stood directly on the cold metal floor.
Fang Mo studied her for a moment.
For some reason, a strange sense of familiarity suddenly rose within him.
To be honest, he had never seen this girl before. This little thing was genuinely adorable. Though she looked a little listless, her appearance was unexpectedly exceptional. Nearly everything about her hit Fang Mo right in his strike zone. If he had met her before, he definitely would have remembered.
Clearly, someone like this could not exist in reality.
Only some anime world could probably have someone this ridiculously attractive.
"…Supreme Intelligence?"
After pondering for a moment, Fang Mo took the initiative to ask.
"Yes." The girl across from him nodded gently, her voice soft and sweet. "May I ask… how should I address you?"
"You can call me hubby."
Fang Mo said.
