swimming pool
"I understand, President Chen!" Wang Yang grasped the meaning instantly and chuckled.
Li Maode and Jiang Cheng also smiled, sharing a knowing look.
Ji Xiaohui looked at the group, completely bewildered, not understanding what was so funny about adding soundproofing cotton.
However, to avoid standing out, she pursed her lips and smiled as well.
"President Chen, right next to the staff dormitory are the staff activity building and the staff cafeteria."
After arranging the dormitory renovations, Jiang Cheng approached Chen Mo and spoke.
"Hmm, then let's go directly to the activity building."
"Very well, President Chen!" Jiang Cheng nodded and led the way once again.
The activity building was about 30 meters away from the staff dormitory, and opposite the staff activity building was the staff cafeteria.
Upon entering the staff activity building, a very spacious Room came into view; it was huge.
"President Chen, this Room on the first floor is intended as an indoor basketball court. Based on the current flat area of the activity building, we can fit a total of six basketball courts, arranged in pairs."
Jiang Cheng introduced.
"Hmm, since it's a basketball court, the flooring must be done well. Use high-quality wood for the surface. Also, make sure the basketball hoops are branded; I don't want them breaking after only a few days of use."
Chen Mo looked at Wang Yang and emphasized.
"Understood, President Chen." Wang Yang nodded and quickly jotted it down in his notebook.
There was nothing else to arrange for the first floor's basketball courts, so the group immediately took the elevator to the second floor.
"President Chen, the second floor is divided into two areas: one for badminton courts and the other for table tennis."
After finishing the arrangements for the second floor, they went straight to the third floor.
"The third floor is the fitness level, where we can install treadmills, gym equipment, spin bikes, a yoga Room…"
"The fourth floor is the leisure level, which will feature massage chairs, billiards, a card and mahjong Room, video game consoles, and a small screening Room…"
From the second to the fourth floor, Jiang Cheng continuously explained the purpose of each level.
Chen Mo, in turn, gave different requirements for spending money on each floor.
Soon, the group arrived at the top floor.
"President Chen, the fifth floor is the swimming pool, where staff can come to swim."
Upon entering the fifth floor, Jiang Cheng introduced it.
In fact, there was no need for Jiang Cheng to introduce it; seeing the layout of the fifth floor, everyone knew it was a swimming pool. After all, right in the center of the floor was a large swimming pool, though it was still in a rough, unfinished state.
Just from its shape, one could tell it was a swimming pool.
Chen Mo examined it carefully and looked up at the ceiling. The ceiling wasn't a standard closed roof; right in the center was a large piece of glass.
Sunlight could shine directly through the glass onto the pool. Swimming here when the sun was out—wasn't that the perfect way to sunbathe?
Seeing the swimming pool and the glass roof, the others also wore expressions of shock.
This swimming pool was much better than some small-scale commercial swimming venues.
Chen Mo walked around the pool once, then turned to look at Jiang Cheng.
"After the swimming pool is built, ensure the water is changed daily and disinfected."
"I understand, President Chen. We will arrange for professionals to manage it then."
Jiang Cheng nodded. He knew this; if the water quality wasn't guaranteed, it would be easy for swimmers to contract illnesses.
Seeing Jiang Cheng nod, Chen Mo turned to look at Wang Yang.
"The waterproofing for this pool must be done perfectly. Money is no object; hire the most professional people to handle the waterproofing for this pool."
"I will, President Chen."
Wang Yang nodded earnestly. As a swimming pool on the fifth floor, he understood the importance of waterproofing.
After touring the activity building, the group went to take a look at the new workshop. For the workshop, he couldn't think of any specific requirements for spending money.
He simply asked Wang Yang to renovate the workshop according to the highest standards.
At the same time, he instructed Jiang Cheng to purchase advanced automated machinery according to the previous standards when buying production equipment.
Whether it was practical or not didn't matter, as long as it cost more.
"Alright, that's it for the renovation requirements. We won't go to the cafeteria; just have it done according to the original renovation standards."
After leaving the workshop, Chen Mo turned to look at Wang Yang.
The cafeteria was just bigger, nothing worth seeing, and after walking around so much, he was starting to feel a bit tired.
"I understand, President Chen. In the next two days, I will arrange for people to come and take measurements, and then I will prepare the renovation plan and budget."
Wang Yang put away his notebook.
"Hmm!" Chen Mo nodded.
"Then, President Chen, we'll be heading back."
Wang Yang said, then led Ji Xiaohui away.
Arriving at the Garment factory parking lot, Ji Xiaohui sat in the passenger seat, looking at Wang Yang as he started the car, her eyes filled with shock.
"If we follow all of President Chen's requirements just now, it's going to cost a lot of money to finish the renovation, right?"
"At least a hundred million!"
Wang Yang started the vehicle and slowly drove out of the Garment factory.
Although he hadn't made a budget yet, based on his long experience renovating for President Chen, he could be certain that this renovation would definitely cost over a hundred million.
But he wasn't sure exactly how much.
"A hundred million!" Hearing Wang Yang's answer, Ji Xiaohui exclaimed, a look of disbelief in her eyes.
A hundred million, just for a renovation, and the beneficiaries were basically all employees. That activity building alone was something few companies in the country could achieve.
There were many who had the capital, but there were basically very few who were willing to do this.
At least in the circles she had been exposed to, she had never heard of it.
Wang Yang turned his head and glanced at Ji Xiaohui's expression, smiling slightly.
He remembered that he had once been shocked too, but now he was used to it.
No matter what renovation decisions President Chen made, he wouldn't be surprised.
Because he is President Chen!
…
At the Garment factory, Chen Mo watched Wang Yang leave, then turned and entered the office building, arriving at his office.
He still had some things to arrange for the Garment factory.
Sitting on the sofa in the office reception area, he looked up at Jiang Cheng.
"I saw your report requesting an increase in the production volume of pet apparel, and I think it's unreasonable."
"It's the same as before: we cannot shift our focus to pet apparel just because it is currently profitable."
"Furthermore, pet apparel has only been on sale for a short time. How can you be certain that the current sales situation for pet apparel will continue indefinitely?"
"So, don't mention increasing pet apparel production again. Focus more energy on normal garment production."
"I understand, President Chen." Jiang Cheng nodded.
"Good that you understand. The pet apparel matter today was just a side note; there are other things to arrange."
"Now that the new factory buildings have been completed, although we haven't purchased new machines or started production, the matter of recruiting employees can be put on the agenda."
"Currently, our Garment factory workshop has only a little over 100 people. Now that we have added several workshops, and they are all larger than the previous ones, how many employees do you think we need to recruit?"
After finishing, Chen Mo looked up at Jiang Cheng.
Jiang Cheng thought for a moment, then spoke slowly.
"Based on the current capacity of the workshops, 1,000 employees would certainly be fine. However, the current sales situation for regular clothing is not optimistic, so I think we could recruit 500 employees."
"Once sales at the Garment factory improve, we can then appropriately recruit more employees."
