Target: Hulk
Chen Mu had not expected the God Spear Bureau to take notice of Hulk in this way.
Unlike America, China had basically no wars, so there was clearly no opportunity to demonstrate the Kirin Armor’s capabilities through warfare.
China’s true frontline combat units, aside from peacekeeping forces, were probably limited to the fire department.
The "enemies" faced by peacekeeping forces rarely had much combat capability. Their main mission was to maintain stability and peace in certain underdeveloped regions. Besides, they were too far from home, so handing them the armor to test its capabilities was obviously unsuitable.
As for the fire department, while the armor would undoubtedly be highly effective in firefighting, it could not demonstrate its combat power, so that option had to be abandoned as well.
Still, that was not necessarily a bad idea. China had lost quite a few firefighters in recent years. Perhaps the Kirin Armor could launch a model specifically for firefighting, equip fire brigades with it first, and gradually bring it into the public eye.
Therefore, if the God Spear Bureau wanted to showcase the Kirin Armor’s capabilities, it had to find a powerful enemy.
"Could these files have been given to the God Spear Bureau by Nick Fury?" After hearing Xu Jia, Chen Mu could not help asking.
The negotiations between Zheng Xian and Nick Fury had now reached a deadlock. The biggest issue was that Nick Fury questioned the Kirin Armor’s combat capabilities.
If you questioned its combat power, why were you trying every possible way to get it?
By coincidence, General Ross’s attempt to capture Hulk had been discovered by S.H.I.E.L.D., and S.H.I.E.L.D. also wanted to use the opportunity to assess the Kirin Armor’s combat power.
Perhaps S.H.I.E.L.D. had no good intentions either. They knew full well how powerful Hulk was, yet they wanted the Kirin Armor to fight him. They were probably hoping the Kirin Armor would fail so they could use that as leverage in negotiations.
However, Nick Fury had clearly underestimated the combat prowess of Chinese soldiers, as well as the Kirin Armor itself.
Perhaps Tony Stark’s Mark III would not be Hulk’s match, but the Kirin Armor’s combat power far surpassed the Mark III’s. On top of that, the armor’s operators were all battle-hardened PLA soldiers. The combat power the Kirin Armor could unleash was absolutely nothing like Iron Man’s.
Perhaps one Kirin Armor soldier could not defeat Hulk, but with the tactical coordination of a full squad, defeating him would not be difficult.
At worst, armor capable of high-speed flight was already in an invincible position.
Hulk could indeed jump, but no matter how high or fast he jumped, could he possibly go supersonic?
"Mm. A major reason for going to capture Hulk this time is to demonstrate the Kirin Armor’s power."
Xu Jia nodded. "The other reason is that the God Spear Bureau does not want that big guy to fall into America’s hands again."
In other words, it would be best if they could capture Hulk and bring him back to China. If that was impossible, killing him would still be better than letting the American military capture him.
"How many people are you planning to send?"
Chen Mu asked curiously. He now roughly understood the God Spear Bureau’s plan.
"A ten-man combat squad will board a Yun-20 shortly and fly directly to Venezuela. The official reason is to deliver a batch of aid supplies."
Xu Jia gritted her teeth. "Venezuela is currently under economic sanctions from America and is now in turmoil. The country is unstable, prices are soaring, and most ordinary civilians cannot even afford to eat."
For its own interests, America stirred up trouble all over the world. According to memories from his previous life, Venezuela would remain economically depressed for years to come, leaving its people in misery.
"That’s why America is no good." Chen Mu sighed. Although he knew some people would certainly argue with him for saying that, he still had to say it.
Naturally, Chen Mu had no favorable impression of S.H.I.E.L.D., America’s lapdog, either.
Perhaps some Avengers truly fought for humanity, but S.H.I.E.L.D. did not. They only fought for their own interests and the interests of their own country.
"The personnel are ready. You and I will be going as well. The Yun-20 carrying supplies was loaded with aid materials earlier, and the twelve of us can head straight to South America on that plane."
The aid to Venezuela had originally been scheduled for delivery in the next couple of days. The Hulk incident had been an unexpected development, and they could conveniently travel there with the transport plane.
"We’re going too?"
Chen Mu blinked, somewhat curious about that.
It was not that he was worried about himself. After all, Hulk could not fly. As long as Chen Mu flew high enough, Hulk would not be able to do anything to him.
Besides, Hulk in the Marvel movie universe was actually rather pathetic. In the plot of "Avengers 3," Thanos beat him so badly with a set of Military Boxing that he did not dare come out again.
Although Hulk had his reasons for not wanting to fight for humanity, it still showed that the Hulk of this world was not necessarily all that powerful.
"As the weapon supplier, none of our weapons have undergone any testing."
Xu Jia rolled her eyes at Chen Mu and continued, "This is the Kirin Armor’s first real combat deployment. Of course we need to be there!"
That might have been true, but what was with that eager expression on her face?
Although the Kirin Armor had undergone many tests within the military and received unanimous praise, it had never truly seen real combat.
"Come to think of it, Xiao Mu Technology doesn’t currently have a weapons manufacturing license."
Chen Mu could not help complaining. He continued, "Besides, our company only makes the outer shell. Don’t we only need to test maneuverability, flexibility, durability, and energy output? Combat testing weapons isn’t something we need to worry about…"
"Forget all that. Don’t you want to watch the Kirin Armor fight a green monster?"
Clearly, that was Xu Jia’s real thought. Or perhaps she was even itching to join the fight herself?
"I do."
Chen Mu naturally did not want to miss such an exciting spectacle.
Besides, if they really could subdue Hulk, Chen Mu wanted to obtain Gamma mutation technology from him, optimize it into something controllable, and use it to strengthen China’s soldiers!
Of course, becoming a Hulk would still have to be a voluntary choice for the soldiers. If you wanted life to go smoothly, you needed a little green on you, right?
"All right, let’s go. We’re just waiting on the two of us!"
Xu Jia clearly did not want to miss the fight with Hulk. She grabbed Chen Mu and pulled him outside.
"Wait, I need to get my armor first. I don’t want to get accidentally killed by a stray hit…"
"What a hassle. Hurry up!"
