Encountering Hulk
After several hours of flight, Chen Mu, Xu Jia, and the other ten, all clad in their respective armor, sat alertly in the Yun-20’s cabin as they neared Venezuela.
From the initial excitement of riding the massive Yun-20 for the first time to the gradual onset of fatigue, Chen Mu no longer felt like talking. He obediently sat in his seat, boredly using his armor to connect to the internet and watch movies.
Naturally, Chen Mu had been extremely interested in the technical data for a large transport aircraft like the Yun-20. He had long since analyzed and stored this Yun-20’s technical information in his own database, while also making technological breakthroughs to give it greater carrying capacity, endurance, and flight speed.
"We’ll be there soon. We’ll head straight to the Amazon Jungle afterward. The location has already been marked for everyone. Find the target as quickly as possible."
S.H.I.E.L.D. had actually already estimated Hulk’s approximate location and handed it over to the God Spear Bureau. The area indicated in the coordinates Xu Jia and the others received was already quite small. Once they began searching, they should find the target quickly.
"This time, the ten of us are combat units. The two of you can just observe from high altitude."
The ten soldiers naturally placed the highest priority on Chen Mu and Xu Jia’s safety.
If anything threatened Chen Mu, they would not hesitate to abandon their mission and focus on protecting him.
"I can help too!" Xu Jia was immediately displeased. What had she come here for, if not to personally try fighting on the battlefield?
What did it mean to exclude her outright?
"I’m a soldier too. I can fight!" Xu Jia argued indignantly. She wanted to fight as well, to wear the Kirin Armor and have a thrilling, all-out battle!
"Colonel Xu, don’t forget your primary mission. Protecting Mr. Chen Mu takes priority!"
The leader among the ten soldiers clearly had no intention of listening to Xu Jia. He spoke to her seriously.
"?"
Chen Mu was speechless. Come on, my armor is far stronger than yours. I really don’t need your protection…
After all, Chen Mu’s armor was made entirely of vibranium, making it unimaginably durable. It also contained all kinds of weapons, so its combat power was naturally not to be underestimated. It was far more powerful than standard armor models.
Though he grumbled internally, he did not say it aloud. After all, the military seemed to believe that his armor had no weapons installed. Perhaps they had guessed otherwise but pretended not to know, so they naturally assumed Chen Mu had no combat ability whatsoever.
"All right, then."
Though Xu Jia was somewhat frustrated, she understood the priorities. Her mission really was to protect Chen Mu’s safety first.
After the transport aircraft landed, Chen Mu and the other eleven quietly left the airport and flew toward the Amazon Jungle.
They all wore Kirin Armor, and their flight speed was extremely fast. Breaking the sound barrier was effortless for them.
Less than an hour later, they arrived at their destination, within a designated section of jungle.
"Colonel Xu, protect Chen Mu. Fly to high altitude, transmit the combat footage back home, and record the data from this battle for later evaluation."
After reaching the designated location, the squad leader began assigning tasks. At the same time, he had Chen Mu and Xu Jia fly directly into the sky, intending to keep them safe.
The other soldiers flew off in different directions and began searching for the target.
As the Kirin Armor’s first battle, it naturally drew attention from many parties.
First was Hua Country. They immediately mobilized satellites to keep constant watch over this area, and every soldier could report the battle situation and their own condition at the first opportunity.
Second was the God Spear Bureau. As the Kirin Warriors were a corps directly under its command, it was naturally extremely concerned with how much strength the soldiers could display. Like the military, it could receive live updates of the battle immediately.
Third, S.H.I.E.L.D. was currently with the God Spear Bureau and could also watch the battle in real time through the God Spear Bureau’s internal display screens.
However, they had not obtained any specific information about the armor and could only make their own guesses and assessments.
At the same time, S.H.I.E.L.D. informed the American side about the coming battle between the Kirin Armor and Hulk.
Therefore, quite a few of the satellites in the sky belonged to the American side, and they too were constantly watching this area.
"Found him. He’s over here. Get here quickly. I’ll hold him off first."
A soldier’s voice came through the channel. He had already discovered Hulk’s trail.
Hulk was actually very easy to find. At this moment, he was still in a furious rage. Earlier, in a Brazilian slum, he had encountered a squad of special forces. After transforming into Hulk and killing several special forces soldiers, he had fled toward the jungle.
Now, the mindless Hulk was still wreaking havoc in the jungle. Countless beasts had died beneath his fists, and even some towering trees had been smashed apart.
If they wanted him to revert to Bruce Banner’s form, they would probably have to wait until he had vented all the anger in his heart.
That would take a long time.
A mere few hours would not be enough.
Battle was about to erupt. The soldier who had found Hulk first immediately launched an attack on the green giant.
In the soldiers’ eyes, the best way to deal with this mindless monster was to kill it, lest it cause even greater destruction.
This was only natural. After all, what the soldiers saw was merely a monster rampaging wildly, not Bruce Banner.
Knowing nothing about him, the only thing the soldiers wanted was to stop him from continuing his destruction.
"Boom!"
All kinds of weapons poured from the Kirin Armor toward Hulk.
The sheer scale and force of the attack even left Chen Mu stunned.
As expected of Hua Country’s military. The modifications made to the Kirin Armor even left Chen Mu clicking his tongue in amazement.
When yield was not enough, they made up for it with firepower. No wonder the modified Kirin Armor looked nearly a size larger. Who knew how many weapons had been added to it?
That single barrage easily achieved complete fire coverage. Even more impressively, under Hongmeng’s control, every miniature missile hit Hulk with precision.
For a time, Hulk was actually forcibly suppressed.
"They really do have Fear of Insufficient Firepower."
Chen Mu, who had already arrived above the battlefield, could not help sighing.
The appearance of the Kirin Armor allowed Hua Country’s military to achieve fire coverage even in individual combat.
In the past, Hua Country’s military generally used equipment such as rockets and missiles for fire coverage, unleashing firepower on the scale of entire army groups.
Now, however, the appearance of the Kirin Armor had also remedied Hua Country’s military’s greatest concern in individual combat: the lack of "fire coverage."
They could now truly achieve complete fire coverage with a single soldier.
Putting everything else aside, this barrage of bombardment had genuinely opened Chen Mu’s eyes.
Impressive, my rabbit!
