That Fat Guy Is the Easiest to Bully! (Second Update)
Old Wang stared at Tetanus with great interest.
This was a very interesting dog.
Inhumans had to rely on Terrigen Mist to evolve, and Terrigen Mist existed within Terrigen Crystals.
All Terrigen Crystals came from Attilan. So far, no second Terrigen mine had been discovered.
In other words, no matter how many Terrigen Crystals Attilan possessed, they were finite, nonrenewable resources that would eventually run out.
From the moment they were born, Inhumans faced the eventual loss of their Inhuman abilities.
Their racial genes would not die out because of this, but if they lost the hope of evolution and those bizarre, varied abilities, what difference would there be between Inhumans and ordinary humans?
No matter how one looked at it, Attilan’s control over Terrigen Crystals was as strict and serious as it could be:
Every Terrigen Crystal was kept in Attilan’s most important and heavily guarded locations. They could only be accessed when several people were present, including sages from the Gene Council, members of the royal family, and even the king himself.
Every Terrigenesis had to be personally presided over by the king. Its importance was obvious.
Under such circumstances,
even Black Bolt himself could not possibly use precious Terrigen Crystals on his pet dog. That would not merely overturn tradition—it would amount to challenging the entire Inhuman race, inevitably provoking public protest and perhaps even impeachment by the Gene Council.
So here was the question.
Since only Inhumans could use Terrigen Crystals, then this big dog named Tetanus was clearly a person!
It obediently stayed beside Black Bolt, occasionally sticking out its tongue and rubbing against Black Bolt’s arm. No matter how one looked at it, it was no different from a dog.
This was ridiculous!
It had turned into a dog because of Terrigenesis, then actually lived its life as one?
So did it have Inhuman genes or dog genes?
If it wanted to reproduce, should it find an Inhuman or a dog?
Either way, it seemed rather ethically questionable…
The big dog sensed Old Wang’s strange gaze and barked at him several times.
Old Wang subconsciously took out a piece of Dragon Bone and tossed it over.
As Black Bolt’s designated spokesperson, Medusa had been about to say something.
But the moment she saw this, she was rendered speechless.
Earthling,
did you really think Tetanus was a dog?
Karnak stood with his hands at his sides, while Gorgon folded his arms. Both wore enigmatic smiles as they watched the show.
Black Bolt, meanwhile, stared curiously at the Dragon Bone with a slight frown. He seemed to sense something and remember something, yet he did not stop it.
The Dragon Bone traced a beautiful arc through the air and landed in Tetanus’s mouth.
Perhaps driven by a pet dog’s instincts, it actually bit down on the bone.
The next moment, it bared its fangs, looking ready to charge at Old Wang, both aggrieved and furious.
You really took me for a dog? Earthling, are you tired of living?
Just as it was about to pounce and bite him,
suddenly—
"Eh, smells amazing!"
It bit down hard.
The Dragon Bone, harder than steel, shattered with a crack!
A look of delight appeared on the big dog’s face.
Crunch, crunch!
It chewed the Dragon Bone into pieces in a few bites, then swallowed them with a satisfied expression.
This strange bone had a flavor unlike any other bone. It was pretty tasty, and rather useful too.
It felt as though its body had undergone some strange, positive change. It had become more energetic, and even its teeth had improved considerably. Everything tasted delicious now.
"Woof woof!"
It barked wildly at Old Wang, its humanlike expression full of fawning eagerness:
Hey, hey!
Give me a few hundred more of those delicious bones, will you?
Medusa: "…"
Karnak: "…"
Gorgon: "…"
We hadn’t even exchanged a word with these Earthlings yet, and you already ate their stuff. How were we supposed to negotiate now?
Did you really think you were a dog?
"Earthling!"
The hot-tempered Gorgon stepped forward and displayed a fist the size of a casserole. "You are not welcome here. Get back to your Earth!"
Lash chuckled. To a psychologist, this sort of provocation was no different from children playing house. He could not be bothered to respond.
Gordon’s attention was entirely on Tetanus. He was curious about this Inhuman whose teleportation ability was said to surpass even his own, and he was not entirely convinced. He had always wanted to compare them and see who was better.
Skye, meanwhile, had fixed her eyes on Black Bolt.
She had learned of Black Bolt’s abilities from Old Wang. He could unleash devastating destructive energy through his voice; even the energy released by a whisper was terrifying. At full power, it was comparable to a nuclear explosion. He was the true humanoid, mobile, reusable nuclear bomb.
Even more frightening,
Black Bolt’s sound waves were not true sound waves, but quasi-sonic waves. They actually fell within the realm of electromagnetic energy and could travel through a vacuum, completely unrestricted by terrain or environment. He seemed even stronger than she was.
Of course, Black Bolt could only release his ability through his voice, while she could release hers through any part of her body. That was her advantage.
Their Inhuman abilities had similarities, but also differences.
Both were the most powerful Inhumans, having completed Terrigenesis with an entire Obelisk or a whole Terrigen Crystal. Who was stronger and who was weaker could only be determined through a fight.
Although she knew perfectly well that she had transformed only recently and had not yet fully mastered her ability, meaning she was probably no match for Black Bolt, she was still eager to try. With Old Wang beside her, there was nothing to fear.
Old Wang, however, turned his gaze toward Karnak beside him.
Old Wang was rather curious about this Inhuman philosopher, who had attained a physique even more perfect than Captain America’s and sensory abilities stronger than Daredevil’s through meditation and training alone. He felt that the two of them might have much to talk about.
He could probably get along with Lei Gong too. They both exuded an air of philosophy.
"You actually ignored me!" Gorgon grew furious.
He suddenly stomped hard.
The entire ground began to shake as a terrifying shockwave radiated in all directions.
Old Wang did not move. Skye did not move. Neither Lash nor Gordon moved.
A mocking look appeared on Gorgon’s face.
His Inhuman ability was not only reflected in his powerful physical abilities, but also in his feet.
By stomping the ground to generate shockwaves, he could easily defeat dozens of elite Royal Guard members. In a straightforward frontal battle, his strength ranked at least among the top five in Attilan.
Yet something unexpected happened.
The shockwave suddenly vanished, as though it had never existed at all!
Gorgon froze.
What… what had happened?
Black Bolt’s expression remained unchanged. He gently took Medusa’s hand and conveyed his thoughts to her through telepathy.
Medusa looked thoughtful.
Karnak immediately turned his gaze to Skye.
Although he had no idea how she had done it, it had to be her.
It was both his intuition and the conclusion he had drawn from observation.
Just then, Skye’s body had suddenly moved by an extremely small margin!
The movement had been too slight and too fast for the naked eye to see clearly. To achieve such a feat, her physical abilities had to be formidable—perhaps even no weaker than his own. Someone like that was definitely not simple.
Remembering the records in Attilan’s ancient texts, Karnak felt a chill run through him.
Attilan’s technology had once been tens of thousands of years ahead of Earth’s, yet it had still been driven off the planet by humanity and forced to settle on the moon. That was because Earth’s waters ran deep, with many extraordinary legacies. This woman had to be one of them.
Gorgon could not understand why the shockwave had disappeared, but that did not prevent him from making a judgment.
As the commander of Attilan’s Royal Guard, under such circumstances, he had to be the first to attack and test their abilities, so His Majesty the King could make an assessment.
So, without the slightest hesitation,
he clenched his fists and charged at Old Wang.
In his eyes,
the only woman had been staring at His Majesty the King, seemingly eager to fight him. She had to be the strongest among the Earthlings.
The bespectacled, dark-skinned middle-aged man looked at him with contempt, even disregard. He seemed to look down on him and was probably no pushover either.
That blind man dared to come to Attilan despite being unable to see anything, so his abilities had to be powerful.
Only that slightly plump Chinese man looked harmless.
Then,
sorry!
