The change of boring short videos

Inside the academic livestream office at Mingri Group for Boring Short Videos, Yang Yaoyao and Liu Weiwei stared at the data on the computer screen with expressions of shock and disbelief.

"Yaoyao, what's going on? Why did the download count for Boring Short Videos suddenly increase so much? What actually happened, or is there an error in the backend data?"

Liu Weiwei kept her eyes locked on the changing data on the computer screen, her lips trembling uncontrollably.

She didn't know what had happened, but overnight, the downloads for Boring Short Videos had increased by nearly one million.

Previously, the total download count for Boring Short Videos had barely reached over 500,000, but now it had surged to over 1.5 million and was still growing rapidly.

Listening to Liu Weiwei, Yang Yaoyao re-verified the backend data and communicated with the company's technical department, finally shaking her head calmly.

"There's no problem. The backend data is correct. This increase in downloads is real."

As she spoke, the two exchanged a glance, and the shock in their eyes gradually evolved into joy.

Ecstasy!

An increase in downloads for Boring Short Videos is a good thing!

Since Li Shen and Wu Yu were away during this period, they had to constantly monitor the overall backend data for Boring Short Videos. However, they hadn't expected that while the backend data for Boring Short Videos was perfectly normal yesterday, it would change so drastically this morning.

After a while, Yang Yaoyao and Liu Weiwei gradually regained their composure.

"Quick, check which livestream categories these new users are choosing to watch."

Looking at the backend data for Boring Short Videos, Liu Weiwei spoke slowly.

Regardless, an increase of 1 million downloads for Boring Short Videos meant 1 million new users.

Naturally, they needed to pay attention to the distribution of these 1 million new users.

Yang Yaoyao nodded, clicked the mouse on the computer, and quickly accessed a detailed data interface.

The two examined it carefully and discovered that among the 1 million new users, over 800,000 were following agricultural livestreams, over 550,000 were following academic livestreams, and about 200,000 were following other categories of livestreams.

Some of these people were following livestreams in two categories simultaneously, such as the agriculture category and the academic category.

Of course, some people also followed even more livestream categories.

However, looking at this data, they knew that most of the users who downloaded Boring Short Videos were heading straight for the agricultural livestreams.

Yet, agricultural livestreams had always been tepid. How could such a sudden change happen? There must have been some development they were unaware of.

"Yaoyao, what do you think happened?"

Liu Weiwei looked at Yang Yaoyao in disbelief; an increase of 1 million downloads overnight wouldn't even happen with paid advertising.

Yang Yaoyao didn't answer upon hearing this, but instead took out her phone and searched.

Not long after, she revealed a look of realization and handed the phone to Liu Weiwei, who was beside her.

"Take a look at this and you'll know."

Seeing this, Liu Weiwei took the phone Yang Yaoyao handed over, her gaze landing on the screen, which displayed Weibo.

Weibo?

Liu Weiwei looked surprised, but quickly noticed the trending search list.

She saw several trending searches related to Boring Short Videos on the list.

What's going on! Did President Chen buy trending searches?

Liu Weiwei wondered, but after seeing the content of the trending searches, she changed her mind.

[Professor Yuan accepts an interview for the first time and actually promotes a short video platform. #Boring Short Videos]

[Professor Yuan cares about agriculture, for the country and the people, a national scholar indeed!]

[What exactly does Boring Short Videos have that could make Professor Yuan promote it like this! #Boring Short Videos]

[…]

Looking at these trending searches, Liu Weiwei widened her eyes. She hadn't expected that the person promoting Boring Short Videos was actually Professor Yuan.

Although she didn't know much about Professor Yuan, she did know a few things.

This was a professor dedicated to the country and the people!

She hadn't expected such a professor to promote their Boring Short Videos; it was completely unexpected.

Looking at the trending list, Liu Weiwei curiously clicked on one of the trending topics to take a look.

She saw that there were already many comments under the trending search.

"I didn't expect Professor Yuan to participate in an interview. This is Professor Yuan's first time participating in an interview, right?"

"Support Professor Yuan!!!!!"

"Do you guys know what kind of short video platform Boring Short Videos is? Why have I never heard of it before?"

"I haven't heard of it either. I didn't even know such a short video platform existed."

"I just checked the app store, and this short video platform really exists. It's downloading now; I'll come back to review it later."

"I've already finished downloading it. I took a look at the content, and it's about the same as what Professor Yuan said. The content in the livestreams is all for educational purposes. It's a very practical app. If you don't understand something, you can completely go there and look it up."

"I've been learning to draw recently and have been looking for a drawing class. However, I checked Boring Short Videos, and there are actually teachers who teach drawing, and what they teach is very practical. I've decided not to look for a drawing class and will self-study on Boring Short Videos first."

"Have you all downloaded it? Are there any unnecessary ads or anything like that?"

"Already downloaded. The only drawback of this short video platform is that there are no beauties. The streamers livestreaming inside all use the original camera. If you want to see beauties, there's no point in coming to this platform. This platform is suitable for people who want to learn something. The streamers on this platform are truly teaching with heart, and their professional skills are quite good."

"You guys just found out about this livestream platform? I've known about it for a long time. My younger brother watches livestreams on this platform every day. There's an academic livestream category, and there are many teachers for various subjects, and their teaching abilities are very good. Now my mom guides the child's learning on the side, which is much more convenient. If there are things we don't understand, we can completely ask. The streamers in the Livestream room have a very good attitude, and they patiently explain every question."

"I hate this short video platform. My mom bought me so many review questions on this short video platform that I can't finish them at all…"

"I really like this livestream platform, especially the agricultural livestream category. My family is from the countryside, my parents are farmers, and I often hear my parents talk about crops frequently getting sick. I've already planned to recommend this short video platform to my parents, hoping they can learn more agricultural knowledge through the agricultural livestream category of this livestream platform."

"By the way, is this Boring Short Videos reliable? Is the stuff talked about in there trustworthy?"

"How could it not be reliable? This was promoted by Professor Yuan. I believe in Professor Yuan."

"…"

Looking at the comments under the trending search, Liu Weiwei took a deep breath and slowly looked up at Yang Yaoyao.

"Yaoyao, Boring Short Videos is going to be a huge hit!"
