The Grill Master
A year was enough to create one Infinity Stone. A perfect set of all six stones would take only six years.
Now that the Time Stone was already in production and the Space Stone was in hand, was the day they gathered all six stones really that far away?
Anyway, Chen Mu felt that this did not seem like much of a problem.
"By the way, you took Zheng Xian to meet Old Li last time. What have you all been doing over there lately?"
Chen Mu asked curiously, "I haven’t been paying much attention to the situation there. What stage has the war reached now?"
"If we hadn’t intervened, the war there would have lasted another two years, followed by conflicts within the country."
"But because of our intervention, our predecessors had the foresight to resolve many issues early. The domestic war probably will not break out again. As for the war against the invaders, it is now nearing its end."
"How so?"
"The Japanese forces are now mainly fighting America. All the devils on Chinese soil have been driven out, while Japan and America are waging an endless war across the Pacific Ocean."
Recently, America began using fire attacks against Japan. American general May ordered bombers to take off from Saipan Island and carry out several bombing raids on the island nation.
"The Tokyo Bombing happened early?"
Chen Mu raised a brow and immediately thought of Zheng Xian. This definitely had something to do with him.
"Zheng Xian provided the American military with specially made incendiary bombs. They used the magical flames of the Eternal Flame that you provided before. Once these bombs ignited, the flames were extremely difficult to extinguish and could keep burning for more than ten days. No matter what they touched, it would burn to nothing."
Incendiary bombs made from the Eternal Flame?
That was ruthless enough!
"Whether it was soil, concrete, or even steel, anything touched by the Eternal Flame would be set ablaze. Not to mention that Japan in this era was mostly filled with wooden buildings. The fires in Tokyo had already burned for three days and three nights, and Japan had no way to put them out."
It would be a miracle if those little devils could extinguish those flames. The Eternal Flame was a treasure worthy of being kept in Odin’s vault.
At its core, it was magical fire. Did people of this era think they could extinguish it? They had to be dreaming.
After being struck by the Eternal Flame, poor Tokyo was simply erased by the American military and reduced to ruins.
And that was not all. The Eternal Flame was still burning, refusing to spare even the ruins. If it kept going for another two days, there probably would not even be ruins left—everything would turn to ash.
Still, it was not the true Eternal Flame. Although these flames were ferocious, they would eventually die out after burning for a long time.
But more than ten days of burning was already enough to deal Little Japan a devastating blow.
"Large numbers of islanders are evacuating the cities. They are continuing to move their military manufacturing to other cities, with no intention of surrendering. They are still producing weapons and preparing to fight the American military to the death."
Good lord, they really were insane. Even though this fire attack had killed more than a hundred thousand people, Little Japan truly was something else. They had no plans to surrender and were continuing farther and farther down the path of militarism.
"Now, the American military is preparing a second wave of air raids, once again targeting Japan’s major cities."
"…"
After hearing Xu Jia’s words, Chen Mu could not help falling silent. But he soon came to terms with it.
These things would have happened according to history anyway. He had not participated in them, so there was nothing to say.
He was merely a researcher. He had only made it possible to manufacture the Eternal Flame through technological means.
"You don’t need to feel any psychological burden. Japan in this era completely deserves what it gets."
Xu Jia sighed, instead comforting Chen Mu.
"We have already gathered enough evidence in that world. We will bring it back to our world to put Japan on trial and make them pay reparations."
This was an unexpected path—searching another world for evidence of the invaders’ crimes.
In the Main World, they could no longer find much evidence, nor could they retaliate against or demand compensation from certain countries. But in the world of 1943, evidence was everywhere. It had been easy to collect a great deal of it. Xu Jia, Zheng Xian, and the others planned to bring all that evidence back to the Main World, make it public, and pursue legal responsibility.
"Are you preparing to go after Little Japan in the Main World too?"
Chen Mu asked curiously.
"We are a civilized force. We will not start a war, but some justice must be reclaimed!"
Not to mention that they had long been sick of the so-called Yasukuni Shrine. At the very least, they had to see it destroyed.
"We have mainly collected evidence of the crimes committed by those class a war criminals. Once we bring it back to the Main World, we will release it all and force Japan to acknowledge those crimes, then drag them out of Yasukuni Shrine. If they refuse, we will help them do it ourselves."
As she spoke, killing intent flashed through Xu Jia’s eyes.
In this era of the Main World, it was indeed unsuitable to start another war proactively. But if it was to seek justice for their predecessors, no country could stop them!
"Doesn’t Japan refuse to acknowledge much of the evidence of its historical crimes? This time, we have found all the evidence. When the time comes, we will let the whole world see what these people really are."
After thinking for a moment, Xu Jia continued, "We have also found all the evidence of Unit 731’s crimes. It will be exposed together with the rest. We also have sufficient proof that America seized all of Unit 731’s evil research results for itself. In the Main World, America is also carrying out these inhumane human experiments and researching all kinds of biochemical weapons."
This killed two birds with one stone, exposing all the filthy things Japan and America had done.
"That’s great! Those American bastards let the demons of Unit 731 walk free during the trials just to obtain their research data. Once this evidence comes out, they’ll be in for it."
Upon hearing Xu Jia’s words, Chen Mu could not help clapping in approval. This would disgust those sanctimonious people in America to death.
"Also, in the world of 1943, China and Wakanda have now established a cooperative relationship. In the future, large quantities of vibranium will be sent over to us."
"??"
Chen Mu looked curious. Had they found a source of vibranium?
"Wakanda in that world is not much more technologically advanced than the other countries. China has established trade relations with them, and vibranium will flow into China’s hands as a resource."
Unlike Wakanda in the Main World, which refused both soft and hard approaches and left China with no options, Wakanda in 1943 could be handled however they wanted.
Of course, China was using peaceful development and fair trade. The vibranium they obtained was entirely legal and legitimate. In short, China would no longer lack this material in the future.
P.S.: Let’s talk about Marvel’s attitude toward China. Marvel was founded during World War II, when people in America simply looked down on China. Their comics were filled, between the lines, with contempt for China. It was only after the twenty-first century began, when they gradually started valuing the Chinese market, that they began adding Chinese elements.
Some people always think China is very powerful in Marvel, with the God Spear Bureau, immortals, divine dragons, and all that. But they have never actually looked at what a bunch of crooked, useless mess those things are. They only added those elements to cater to Chinese viewers and readers, yet some people seem to get excited over them and think they are incredible. In reality, the God Spear Bureau in Marvel is just a knockoff of S.H.I.E.L.D. It barely even counts as background decoration. If it were really that powerful, why does the God Spear Bureau never appear in so many major events?
Not to mention anything else, just look at Marvel Studios now. Its movies are becoming increasingly politically correct, and Chinese heroes will definitely appear in the future.
Of course, there is no need to talk about the so-called Chinese heroes they have now. Take a look at Shang-Chi—does anyone really think it was good?
To be honest, the author actually likes Marvel movies quite a bit, otherwise this book would not have been written. But when it comes to certain anti-Chinese elements in Marvel, we still need to make our stance clear.
