#616
The woman under the peach tree
Mu Yunxue looked at the three behind her. "Let's go in; there is another guest waiting for us inside."
Mistress Yun glanced at Su Yu and Ling Miao, and they nodded to each other before stepping inside.
Pushing open the doors of the quiet attic and walking into the rear courtyard, they found a scenery quite different from the outside.
Peach trees were everywhere, their fragrance filling the air, painting the entire world in shades of pink mist.
Beside the courtyard stood a peach tree with the most vibrant blossoms, and beneath it sat a woman cross-legged, appearing so integrated with the land that one would be loath to disturb her.
Her white, ethereal skirt spread across the ground as she sat with her knees bent under the peach tree, occasional blossoms drifting onto her shoulders.
The moment she raised her eyes, they seemed to hold infinite spring light, causing even the drifting clouds on the horizon to pause, willing to serve as her backdrop.
What a perfect image of a Fairy from a painting.
This woman was the Saintess of the new generation of the Yun Yao Holy Land, Wen Zhiyi.
Mistress Yun hadn't expected the Saintess to be here and whispered, "Are you really on such good terms with the Saintess?"
Mu Yunxue shook her head. "The Saintess is quite interested in The Way of the Qin and comes over occasionally. I didn't expect her to be here today either."
"I see. It seems we have an unexpected harvest this time."
Mu Yunxue led the three into the courtyard.
Wen Zhiyi saw the three. She recognized Mistress Yun, whose reputation was quite famous; in terms of appearance, the two were evenly matched.
However, in the Spirit Realm's peerless beauty ranking, she was ranked one spot behind her.
Seeing this, Mu Yunxue said, "Let me introduce these two to you. As I mentioned, they are Su Yu and Ling Miao, also from the Star Sea Sect."
The two nodded in greeting.
Seeing this, Wen Zhiyi spoke, "Welcome. I have heard of you both. I only recently started learning The Way of the Qin myself."
Mu Yunxue began brewing tea and chatting about topics related to The Way of the Qin.
During this process, Wen Zhiyi would also ask everyone about her own shortcomings and play a piece for them to critique.
Regarding this, they each had their own different views, and the experience provided Wen Zhiyi with many insights.
After some time, Wen Zhiyi prepared to leave.
She waved goodbye to the four and then vanished from the spot.
Looking at the departing Saintess, Mistress Yun remarked, "Your Saintess is much more approachable than I imagined. The rumors outside describe her as someone very resolute and decisive."
"It seems she has another side to her? I've certainly gained a lot this time."
Mu Yunxue thought for a moment. "That's just how she is. She faces a lot of pressure outside; the expectations of others and the burdens of the Sect are all on her shoulders. It's good for her to relax occasionally."
"Learning The Way of the Qin is a way for her to relax, which is why she acts this way. Under normal circumstances, you wouldn't be able to see her like this."
After the four chatted for a while longer, they also left the area.
What had just happened became a small interlude.
This time, the three were to stay at the Yun Yao Holy Land for a short period.
The four returned to the previous location, where most of the Disciples were focused on studying their own paths.
Time passed quickly, and before they knew it, they had stayed in the Yun Yao Holy Land for some time. Su Yu and the others were now preparing to return.
During this visit, the two had experienced many things.
During this period…
Disciples would come to seek guidance from the two of them, and many among them were also Dao Companions.
There were even Disciples who quite admired the two of them.
During this time, Disciples from other Qin Peaks would also come to challenge the people on their side.
Such occurrences were frequent; whenever the Disciples on their side researched something new, they would call others to go to different peaks to challenge the Disciples there.
Whenever a challenge began, many people would gather to watch.
This kind of situation was relatively rare in the Star Sea Sect; although there were competitions between Disciples, it was completely incomparable to the Yun Yao Holy Land.
This was the difference between the two, and also why the Yun Yao Holy Land's Way of the Qin stood unrivaled.
During this time, Su Yu and the others also met some other Elders of the Qin Dao from the Yun Yao Holy Land.
Some were quite easy to get along with, while others were rather arrogant.
Finally, they met Mu Yunxue's Dao Companion.
That Dao Companion even insisted on taking Su Yu out for a heavy drinking session to express his gratitude.
Only the two of them drank, as he said it was inconvenient to bring others along this time.
While drinking, he kept telling Su Yu things, saying that Su Yu's situation was just like his and that he could surely understand his thoughts.
But in the end, he thanked Su Yu for his help, as he had been worrying about a solution to that matter for a long time.
The two drank for a long time, and when they returned, Ling Wanqing and Mu Yunxue were waiting for them in the courtyard.
The two women had also been chatting about various topics, while Mistress Yun had left early.
As he left, Mu Yunxue's Dao Companion was still clamoring to continue next time.
Ling Wanqing had actually gotten along quite well with Mu Yunxue; they shared some similar views, and their relationship had grown closer.
And now, it was time to say goodbye. Mu Yunxue looked at the four and said, "Come again next time."
Then, remembering something, she approached Ling Wanqing and whispered, "Next time you have the chance, just bring Su Yu along."
After saying that, she gave Ling Wanqing a jade token.
Seeing this, Mistress Yun said, "Alright! Did you think I couldn't hear you?"
Everyone burst into laughter at the sight.
At this moment, some Disciples also came to see the three of them off.
With a wave of their hands, Su Yu and the others left the Holy Land.
The three returned to the Star Sea Sect.
"How was it? Not bad, right? Otherwise, I wouldn't be running over there so often," Mistress Yun said.
Su Yu and Ling Miao nodded. "This experience was indeed quite memorable."
"Now that you have the jade token Yunxue gave you, you can head over whenever you have time."
"Mhm, we'll head back first."
The two returned home and resumed their daily lives.
That day, the two went into Su Yu's world.
Ling Wanqing began to continue her cultivation, but before starting, she gave Su Yu some instructions.
Watching Ling Wanqing sitting cross-legged in the distance to Cultivate, Su Yu smiled.
The Spirit of Taiyin looked at Su Yu. "She's off to Cultivate again. I suppose you're going to do something else?"
"Pretty much. I might Cultivate a bit too."
Su Yu was quite at ease regarding the development of this world; there had been no accidents in these two hundred years, and everything was within expectations.
He basically didn't need to worry about anything.
Su Yu said, "I'll leave it to you all. If there's nothing else, I'll head out first."
Su Yu returned to the courtyard. For now, Ling Wanqing also hoped he would achieve a Breakthrough as soon as possible.
