#615

Zhang suddenly turned around

Su Yu and his companion, holding a wine flask, walked toward the rear of the Star Sea Sect.

They were headed to the Star Sea Sect's cemetery, where the Elders of past generations were buried.

Whenever this bell tolled, it signified the passing of an Elder.

As for this Elder, Su Yu knew him, but they had only exchanged a few words.

Generally, when an Elder passed away, those who were free would come to see them off on their final journey.

They knew that they would eventually face this as well; for most of them, death was inevitable.

One never knew when an accident might strike; perishing in a struggle for Opportunity or being assassinated were all uncertain factors.

With their Aptitude and opportunities, advancing further was extremely difficult; for most, the end result was their Lifespan running out without achieving a Breakthrough.

They also hoped that when their own time came, there would be someone to see them off.

The two arrived at the Star Sea Sect's cemetery, where many Elders had already gathered to pay their respects.

Each had their own way of doing so.

At this moment, there were also Elders with bewilderment in their eyes; their time was running out, and they needed to achieve a Breakthrough as soon as possible.

There were also looks of firm determination appearing in some eyes.

The Sect Leader of the Star Sea Sect appeared on the scene; he would almost always attend to observe a moment of silence.

As the leader of a Sect, his sense of responsibility was stronger than anyone else's present, and his concern for the Sect Elders exceeded many people's expectations.

The Disciples of that Elder were all present.

Some were sobbing softly at this moment, some were covered in tears, and the wailing of others echoed in everyone's ears.

Seeing this, the Sect Master offered them some simple words of comfort.

They didn't want to see things like this, but such was the nature of cultivation.

Some end up with nothing, solitary and helpless in their old age, ultimately faring worse than a Mortal who spends a hundred years of freedom hand-in-hand with a beloved partner.

Yet there are also those who enjoy boundless glory and leave their names in the annals of history! They write their own legends!

The moment one steps into the immortal gates, countless dreams and expectations begin to intertwine.

With thoughts in their hearts, even though their clenched fists were already riddled with wounds, they never thought of stopping, possessing only a heart that forged ahead.

But when looking back suddenly, one discovers that the dreams they gripped so tightly had long since silently drained away with their lifeblood.

Yet they also realized their own brilliant life was unique to them, and they were already without regrets.

Different stories unfold every day; the beginning of new tales and the conclusion of old ones are what constitute this unique world.

Su Yu and his companion arrived before the tombstone.

Looking at the tombstone, Su Yu opened his wine gourd and poured it onto the ground in front of him.

And then he finished the wine in his hand in one gulp.

Su Yu then left the place.

The two of them had attended such events several times before.

The two returned home and went back to their normal daily lives.

A month passed by just like that, and the Sect had moved on from its previous sorrow.

At this moment, Mistress Yun looked at the two and said, "We are almost there."

In the Yun Yao Holy Land.

Mu Yunxue had invited them this time, after all, the two of them had been a great help last time.

This time they were going to the core area of the Holy Land, where ordinary people were usually not allowed to enter.

The three of them arrived in the Yun Yao Holy Land.

Mu Yunxue was already waiting for their arrival.

Seeing the three of them arrive, she came over to welcome them.

With Mu Yunxue leading the way, entering the Holy Land was very simple; furthermore, Mistress Yun frequently visited this place and was already quite familiar with it.

However, the appearance of Su Yu and his companion made some Disciples speculate about their identities.

Still, some Disciples recognized them; the two were actually quite famous in the eyes of some Disciples, especially within the path of The Way of the Qin.

Mistress Yun's arrival caused a stir among the Disciples every time.

Mu Yunxue watched the scene and said, "It's like this every time. You really are popular with the Disciples. I just wonder which fellow will be lucky enough to gain your appreciation in the future."

Mistress Yun glanced at her. "Always talking about such things. Even my Family members haven't said anything."

"Isn't that because your Clan Chief father is backing you up? Plus, your Yun Family is powerful enough that you naturally don't need to care about so much."

"Normally, children of many families don't have much right to choose for themselves."

"Especially when it comes to matters involving interests. Fortunately, both of our families have deep enough foundations that it's usually others who come looking for us."

"In our Mu Family, that older brother of mine has taken many Young Misses from various families as concubines. He claims he was forced into it, but I think he's enjoying himself."

Mistress Yun didn't continue the topic; she didn't have much thought for such matters right now.

Under Mu Yunxue's guidance, the three arrived at the Qin Peak within the Yun Yao Holy Land.

Unlike the Qin Peaks of other Sects, this place was different; peaks stood in clusters, each with its own unique scenery and Concept.

This was where most of the Disciples of The Way of the Qin in the Yun Yao Holy Land studied and lived.

Every peak had an Elder.

The further forward a peak was, the more powerful it was. Mu Yunxue's Qin Peak was very far forward, which showcased her strength; moreover, she could challenge people from other peaks every once in a while.

This way, it could better stimulate competition and growth among the Disciples.

Once they stepped onto the Qin Peak, neither the spiritual energy nor the surrounding Concept could be matched by their Qin Island.

Here, one could achieve greater efficiency and insights.

This was also why so many people wanted to come to the Holy Land.

This point alone was enough to attract people.

Not to mention other matters.

As soon as the four of them entered, many Disciples cast their gazes toward them.

It was normal to see Mistress Yun, as she often wandered around here.

But seeing the two who appeared today was somewhat surprising to them.

However, many soon recognized their identities.

Su Yu and Ling Miao, these two Star Sea Sect Elders who were quite famous for their Qin ensemble performances, had now arrived.

Some ensemble-playing Disciples became very excited and surprised at their arrival.

They had wanted to meet the two for a long time but never had the chance.

They never expected them to come to their side now, and they might even receive guidance from the two.

A clamor immediately broke out in the surroundings.

The two had already expected this.

Mu Yunxue ignored the Disciples' noise for the moment and led the three away from the periphery.

The three arrived before a quiet pavilion; the scenery around it was very beautiful, and it was the place where Mu Yunxue usually hosted guests.

But the destination this time was not inside the pavilion, but in the courtyard behind it.

Su Yu saw someone waiting for their arrival in the courtyard; it seemed there was another guest waiting for them inside.
