Traffic Violations Cost Points

As the Dark Elves’ warship was about to come to a stop, Thor spun the hammer in his hand at high speed, hatred flashing in his eyes. After drawing their weapons, Sif and the others tensed every muscle and stood alongside Thor at the front, looking ready to launch an all-out attack the moment they saw the Dark Elves.

Li Feng, who knew he was no match for the Dark Elves, and Natasha, who knew nothing of their methods, led the gun-wielding agents as they stood tensely in the rear.

Just as the warship settled and battle was about to erupt, an out-of-place cellphone ringtone sounded from within the agent ranks.

Natasha frowned and turned to look at the person bold enough to carry a cellphone during combat. "Which bastard didn’t follow procedure and turn off his phone? Don’t you want your salary and bonus anymore?"

The agent whose phone was ringing looked utterly confused. As he reluctantly pulled out his cellphone, he seemed to be talking to himself while also explaining to Natasha.

"Strange. I clearly put it in airplane mode."

Seeing that the caller ID was an unfamiliar number, the agent naturally pressed the "reject" button, then turned off his phone and tucked it back into his pocket under Natasha’s gaze.

Natasha gave him a look that told him to watch himself. Just as she turned her attention back to the Dark Elves’ warship, another cellphone ringtone came from a different agent in the group.

Looks like I’ll need to straighten out the team’s discipline when this is over. Natasha’s face turned cold as she followed the ringtone to the agent.

The agent whose phone had rung stiffened. Was this karma for taking pleasure in someone else’s misfortune?

Just as the unlucky-looking agent pulled out his phone and prepared to turn it off, Natasha said thoughtfully, "Answer it."

The agent froze for a moment, then instantly understood what Natasha meant.

He and his previous companion had failed to turn off their phones according to procedure, but both had put them into airplane mode. Yet their phones could still ring. Clearly, their devices had been hacked.

And among the people capable of locating and hacking an agent’s phone within seconds, aside from their black-clad superior, there was probably only Stark, who had too much free time on his hands.

If it was Fury calling, then it had to be an extremely important call.

If it was Stark calling…

The agent glanced at the Dark Elves’ warship. As he wondered whether Iron Man was planning to come join the fun, he pressed the answer button.

The moment the call connected, Stark’s carefree voice came through the speaker. "Hey, buddy, this is Tony Stark. Please ask that Mage to open a Portal connecting to the top floor of Stark Industries."

I knew it was you, you bastard. Do you know you just cost me my bonus? You’d better compensate me for my losses. The silently raging agent looked stiffly at Li Feng. Just as he was about to speak, Li Feng opened a Portal and said, "I heard him."

As the Portal opened, Steve stepped through first. He tightened his grip on his shield, greeted Li Feng and the others, and took up position beside Natasha.

Then Stark, clad in armor, stepped through the Portal. With his hands on his hips, he struck a showy pose toward Natasha and said, "Beautiful, did you miss me?"

Natasha rolled her eyes at Stark, then glanced through the Portal and guessed uncertainly, "Fury only sent the two of you as reinforcements? Where’s the big guy?"

Stark shrugged, turned toward the Dark Elves’ warship, and said, "I don’t think a battlefield where you could be teleported to another planet at any moment is suitable for a simple-minded big guy."

Natasha turned and looked at the school filled with "javelins." That made perfect sense. Once Hulk got angry, even if he knew there was a spatial passage ahead, he would probably charge straight into it without a second thought.

After sizing up the warship, Stark turned to Li Feng and could not help laughing. "Buddy, what’s with that look? Are the Dark Elves afraid of beetles, so you’re planning to disguise yourself as one and scare them off?"

Li Feng shot Stark a glance, patted his armor until it rang with bang bang, and showed off, "Don’t think a coat of paint can hide the fact that your suit is made of scrap metal. Mine is armor forged from Uru Metal. Its quality is who knows how many times better than the suit you’re wearing. Get lost and be jealous somewhere else."

I’d be jealous? What kind of joke was that? It had always been other people who envied me. Stark directly ignored Li Feng’s teasing and walked over curiously. Activating his scanner, he scanned the armor back and forth. "Is this Thor’s payment for treating Miss Jane? What a loss. If I’d known, I would’ve treated her."

When Steve saw Malekith leading the Dark Elves out of the warship, he raised his shield before him and interrupted Stark’s endless chatter from behind.

"Stark, it’s time to fight."

Stark curled his lip and rolled his eyes at Steve’s back. What would an antique like you know? Once I figure out Uru Metal, Earth’s technology might advance by leaps and bounds because of it. For example, using Uru Metal to build the hulls of space warships—do you know how important that would be for humanity’s exploration of Outer Space? Maybe the next time aliens come to Earth, we can fly Uru fighters and beat the hell out of them.

Of course, grumbling was one thing. Stark would not voice those thoughts aloud. After all, having two major fighters quarrel before a battle would only undermine the team’s morale.

Stark silently raised his hand and aimed his repulsor cannon at Malekith. It could not be helped. Among the Dark Elves before him, Malekith was the most arrogant and attention-seeking. With Stark already in a bad mood, who else was he supposed to aim at?

Meanwhile, Malekith, who had just set foot on Earth, looked up at the sky. Seeing signs of the Nine Realms beginning to converge one after another, he felt deeply gratified. After waiting for a thousand years, the chance to fulfill the Dark Elves’ mission has finally arrived.

But before that, I must first remove the thorns blocking my path. Malekith disdainfully glanced at Thor and the others, comparing the numbers on both sides. I have only around a hundred warriors left, while they have five Asgard Palace warriors and a bunch of small fry carrying antique weapons.

Malekith considered it. While he believed that, with the Aether, he could easily crush Thor and the others, too many small fry would not be a good thing for his subordinates. After all, even ants could gnaw an elephant to death.

With that in mind, Malekith decided to boost his soldiers’ morale first while also crushing the enemy’s.

Malekith lifted his chin and puffed out his chest, assuming a proud posture as he said disdainfully, "Warriors of Asgard Palace, there is no need for you to come here and die, because the Grim Reaper will soon pay you a visit. Your universe should never have existed. Your kingdom and your families—"

Before Malekith could finish, Li Feng, who understood his intentions, pressed his right index finger to his throat and interrupted him in a Sonorus voice. "Malekith, you’ve been arrested for illegally parking your spaceship. You now have two choices: either get lost immediately, or lose thirteen points and pay a fine of two hundred and fifty."

Malekith’s expression froze. He raised a hand and fired a spike formed from the Aether at Li Feng.

Li Feng curled his lips disdainfully and waved open a Portal before him that connected to Malekith’s back, letting the spike pass through the Portal and stab toward Malekith.

Unfortunately, the Aether was currently only half-recognized as its master and would not harm Malekith at all.

Thor, on the other hand, was a man of action. He had no interest in listening to Malekith’s nonsense. Since the other man had already attacked, Thor immediately hurled his hammer crackling with electricity at him without any courtesy.

Malekith did not dodge. He directly shielded himself with the Aether, blocked Mjolnir, then quickly charged toward Thor.

Sif and the Warriors Three were no less willing to yield. Waving their weapons, they rushed at the guards behind Malekith.

At that moment, Li Feng saw Dark Elves still continuously stepping onto Earth from the warship. He let out a sinister chuckle, formed a Fireball covered in Spirit Fire, and hurled it at the warship.

Spirit Fire was the product of Fiendfyre and Hellfire merging. It was also among the most powerful flames of the spells Li Feng currently possessed. It not only blasted a huge crater into the warship, but the flames from the explosion also spread rapidly like living creatures. They looked ready to set the entire warship ablaze and suffocate the Dark Elves who had not made it onto Earth alive inside it.

In the distance, Malekith, who was fighting Thor with great enthusiasm, suddenly discovered that someone had turned his only spaceship into a torch.

Malekith could tell that the flames on the warship were unusual. After all, his warship was not made of wood, and flames capable of igniting metal were clearly not something that could be extinguished quickly.

However, Malekith was a veteran who had seen much of the world. Based on his many years of experience, as long as he killed the caster, the flames on the warship would naturally become water without a source and wood without roots.

At that point, what did it matter how fiercely the flames burned? His warriors would surely be able to put them out with fire extinguishers soon enough.

Thinking this, Malekith, anxious to rescue his clansmen inside the warship, launched a fierce barrage at Thor. After forcing Thor back, he turned and pounced on Li Feng.

Thor might not have been especially bright in ordinary times, but whenever combat was involved, his intelligence immediately seized the high ground. The moment he saw Malekith sticking out his ass, he knew exactly what shit the man was about to take.

Want to save your people? First ask whether my hammer agrees. Thor grinned and spun Mjolnir at high speed. Once the hammer spun so much that it seemed dizzy enough to vomit, Thor violently flung it out and charged at Malekith himself with fearless resolve.

It could only be said that the two had poor luck. As they fought fiercely in close combat, a spatial passage suddenly opened and inexplicably teleported both of them to another planet.

In the distance, Stark, who was flying through the air with Li Feng and harvesting Dark Elves everywhere, pointed to the place where Thor had vanished and swallowed. "Austin, how about we go back to the ground and fight slowly? I don’t want to somehow stow away to another planet."

"I think staying motionless in the air is the safest option," Li Feng said. He narrowed his eyes and sensed the nearby spatial fluctuations, then pointed into the air. "They’re back."

The moment he spoke, Thor and Malekith suddenly appeared in midair. But just as they were about to fall to the ground, they abruptly vanished again.

Stark stared blankly at the ground where the two had disappeared, then shrugged. "All right, I agree with you. The ground really is much more dangerous than the air. And now I understand why you didn’t let the Dementors join the battle."

After thinking for a moment, Stark casually blasted a nearby Dark Elf with one shot and joked, "Buddy, looks like you’re doing pretty well in Asgard Palace. If I accidentally get teleported to another world, remember to come rescue me."

Li Feng said, "Don’t worry. I’ll plaster obscene pictures of you all over the utility poles in all nine realms, and remind every woman to lock her doors and windows when she takes a bath."
