Transaction

The Empress’s mind wavered, and she found herself in an unfamiliar place. She could still clearly sense her true body; if anything happened to it, her consciousness could return instantly.

The consciousness projection looked exactly like the true body, without the slightest change. The only difference was that the projection was entirely in angel form rather than ordinary human form. In other words, the wings had manifested, and an angel’s rank could be determined by them.

Consciousness projections materialized throughout the city. One angel after another opened their eyes, looking at the Virtual Mall with curiosity and shock.

To angels from the interstellar age, this city might not have been much. Some had even seen grander structures, such as interstellar fortresses and colonial cities, some of which were larger than the entire Virtual Mall. But for most angels from lower-level worlds, this place was clearly far too advanced.

After opening her eyes, the Empress first saw angels appearing all around her. Most had two wings, while quite a few were Four-winged Angels at the same rank as her. Yet the Six-winged Angels before her made her heart tremble.

"Six-winged Angels…" the Empress murmured. She knew how angel ranks were divided. Above six wings were even eight wings, ten wings, and more. She had not expected to see two Six-winged Angels at once.

When she turned to look elsewhere, she saw towering skyscrapers rising straight into the sky, some so high that their ends could not be seen. The entire street was exceptionally bustling.

All angels were female, yet there were males on this street as well. However, these men all looked nearly identical, with little difference between them. Based on the Angel System’s prompt, she learned that these were the so-called highly realistic robots.

The Empress came from a low-level feudal world and did not understand what robots were. She had assumed they were probably puppet people, but now that she saw them, they looked no different from real humans.

"Wow! This place is so lively!"

"Yeah, look at those buildings. They’re even taller than the tallest building on our planet!"

"What’s so impressive about that? Our civilization has plenty of buildings taller than these!"

"Where are you from? What’s your civilization level?"

"I’m from the Silo Civilization. Our civilization is a Tier-4 Civilization. In our civilization, I’m a guardian deity. What about you?"

"Hehe, I’m from a Level 5 cultivation civilization. The planet where my hometown is located doesn’t have buildings this tall!"

"Wow, a Level 5 cultivation civilization! Then you must be really strong!"

"Just average…"

The angels were all girls. Once they met, they immediately began chatting.

However, not every girl was like that. For example, the Empress, having ruled as empress for several years, carried herself with dignity and did not speak. She merely observed her surroundings in silence. Seeing the various angels and hearing what they said, she realized that she had been mistaken before. She had thought that, as the empress of a nation, earning so-called Divine Power Value would not be difficult. But now, seeing the large number of angels here, even those two-winged angels from advanced civilizations possessed resources and influence far beyond what she, the empress of a low-level world, could compare to.

Xiao Hen stood atop the tallest central building in the Virtual Mall, watching the angels below and the mall’s operations. After their initial amazement faded, the angels began exploring the entire Virtual Mall.

"Wow, what is this?" Some angels cried out when they saw the items being sold in a shop, drawing the attention of the others.

"This is a Space Ring!" The shop attendant was a robot. With an indifferent expression, it said, "This Space Ring has an internal capacity of one hundred cubic meters and costs one hundred Divine Power Value!"

"Divine Power Value… I don’t have any." The two-winged angel who had asked looked embarrassed. She came from an ordinary world and had never seen a Space Ring before. According to the description, it was a storage ring that could hold items and be carried around freely.

"You can earn Divine Power Value by working at various shops. Of course, the simplest way is to sell items for Divine Power Value!" the robot replied. Their work was not limited to selling the items Xiao Hen provided; they also guided the angels.

"Sell things? How do I bring things from reality here to sell?" the two-winged angel asked. This was indeed a problem. No matter how good something in reality was, it would be useless if she could not bring it here.

"That’s simple. You can use your Angel System to perform a holographic scan of an item, recording detailed information such as its characteristics and functions. Then you can have it appraised and valued in the Virtual Mall before selling it," the robot said. "Once the transaction is completed, the buyer and seller can conduct the exchange under the Lord of Time and Space’s guarantee. The exchange is responsible for transporting the goods. The exchange was established by the great Lord of Time and Space, and a portion of each transaction will be charged as transaction tax according to the quantity and value of the items!"

"Oh!" The two-winged angel immediately understood. It turned out that physical items were not brought here for sale. Instead, they were holographically scanned by the Angel System, then sold after appraisal. Once the deal was completed, the exchange handled the physical trade between both parties, locating them through their Hearts of the Angel and teleporting the goods.

"The great Lord of Time and Space is truly amazing!" the two-winged angel could not help but sigh. After her consciousness returned to her true body, she began searching for items she could sell. However, after seeing the high-level angels in the Virtual Mall, she knew that unless something was rare, they might not even spare it a glance. But her targets were not those high-level angels. They were the other two-winged angels like herself.

"This is the rarest flower in our world. It should be worth some Divine Power Value, right?" The girl searched for a long time but could not find anything valuable. The creations of her world were all assessed as worthless by the Angel System’s scans, which discouraged her somewhat. The things that had seemed quite good before were all worthless junk. In the end, she scanned a strange flower. It was an extremely rare flowering plant even in her world. After the holographic scan, the Angel System appraised it at twenty Divine Power Value.

After working hard for several days, she had finally found something she could sell for money. The girl was overjoyed and immediately entered the Virtual Mall with the scanned information and her world’s own description of the flowering plant.

She first entered the appraisal office, teleporting there through the street plaza. There, she found the place truly packed with people, with angels moving everywhere. Flying was prohibited inside the buildings, and they could only fly in the open space outside.

The appraisal office had dedicated appraisal rooms and specialized appraisal capabilities, far more advanced than the Angel System’s preliminary assessment. After a round of appraisal, the flowering plant the girl had brought turned out to be a unique medicinal herb that could be used as an ingredient for an Enhancement Potion. Its value reached one hundred and fifty Divine Power Value.

Overjoyed, the girl immediately consigned the flower to the auction house. It was ultimately sold for two hundred and thirty Divine Power Value. After the auction house’s consignment fee and transaction tax were deducted, she still received nearly two hundred Divine Power Value. At last, she successfully bought the Space Ring worth one hundred Divine Power Value.

The girl returned to her world and continued searching for that flower and other items, hoping to earn even more Divine Power Value. After buying the Space Ring, she discovered even more good things she wanted to buy. Unfortunately, she had no money, so she could only find ways to earn it.

Such scenes were happening everywhere in the Virtual Mall. Every angel who entered it, after seeing the items Xiao Hen had put up for sale, began thinking of ways to make money. Some chose to work in shops, but more returned to their own worlds and searched every possible way for rare items and resources. After preliminary evaluation by the Angel System, they entered the Virtual Mall’s appraisal office for appraisal, then sold them to earn Divine Power Value.

Some clever angels, after earning large amounts of Divine Power Value, had already begun renting shops and starting businesses.

The Virtual Mall’s operations had entered the proper track. Xiao Hen watched it all with a smile. This incarnation of his would remain stationed within the mall. He did not need to handle anything else; his other incarnations or true body would take care of those matters.

Xiao Hen’s true body indeed had something to do. As the resources gathered by the angels flowed into the Virtual Mall, his Plot Points continued to rise. Every day, tens of millions of Plot Points were added. He believed that he would soon be able to exchange for all Level 7 and Level 8 items, and even Level 9 items.

"Shuttle, exchange for a Space Stone," Xiao Hen said calmly.

"Exchanging for a Space Stone requires six hundred thousand Plot Points. Confirm exchange?" the Shuttle asked evenly.

"Confirm the exchange!"
