Unlocking Flight-A True Superman!
They watched as a figure completely ignored gravity, his powerful body seeming to have no weight at all as he floated in midair.
Whether it was Gwen or the worldly Captain George, both were involuntarily stunned at that moment.
Humans could not fly without relying on external equipment.
Even a three-year-old knew that basic fact.
Yet at this moment, the scene before them completely shattered both of their worldviews.
"Who… exactly… are you?"
After standing there in a daze for a moment, Captain George finally came to his senses and unhesitatingly aimed the gun in his hand at the figure before him.
Perhaps only the gun in his hand could dispel his fear of the unknown and give him a sliver of comfort.
"I suggest you put that thing down. I’m not used to people pointing it at me. Besides, that thing poses no threat to me."
Peter spoke with a hint of coldness in his voice as he held up the nearly ten-ton cabin with one hand and slowly descended toward the ground.
Perhaps sensing the chill in the Mysterious Person’s tone, Captain George obediently lowered his gun this time and said sincerely, "All right. I apologize to you."
"Is this really that stubborn father who would rather get hurt himself than let someone keep their mask on?"
Watching her father’s actions, Gwen felt that this was incredibly unfair.
If George knew what she was thinking, he could only tell her, "I may be stubborn, but I’m not stupid. Do you really think a crappy handgun can threaten someone like that?"
Clang!
Peter was already close to the ground. He casually set the cabin down.
But in the next instant, all the police officers who had been waiting on the ground quickly surrounded him.
Some wore utterly incredulous expressions.
Some stared curiously at his face, which was covered by the Bio-force Field.
Others nervously aimed their guns at him.
"Put your guns down!"
George, who had stepped out of the cabin, gave the order without hesitation, telling the surrounding officers to lower their weapons.
"This… gentleman." Tilting his head up at a forty-five-degree angle, George gazed at the figure floating in the sky and organized his thoughts.
Only then did he slowly continue, "What exactly are you… a mutant? A superpowered individual? Or an alien?"
"Or… a god?"
In truth, George had another guess in mind, but he did not ask it outright.
"What do you think?"
Peter looked down at everyone below him, including a figure looking for an opportunity to sneak away. His low yet imposing voice slowly echoed across the scene.
Whoosh!
In the next moment, under everyone’s shocked gazes, his figure shot into the sky. Hundreds of meters above them, an umbrella-shaped sonic boom cloud appeared around his body.
Boom!
Two seconds later, the sonic boom reached their ears, proving that everything before them was not an illusion.
"I know! He’s Superman! The Superman from the comics…"
After a brief silence at the scene, a cry of surprise suddenly shattered the stillness.
The crowd immediately erupted.
Comics had come to life. What could be more unbelievable than that?
"Captain, Spider-Woman is gone!"
Just as everyone was still in disbelief, the officer Gwen had rescued alongside Captain George suddenly came over to report to George.
"I know."
Captain George kept staring at the figure that had long vanished from the sky and slowly replied without turning around.
"Captain, we gained almost nothing from this operation, but suffered heavy losses. Three Helicopters alone were destroyed."
"Fortunately, because of Spider-Woman, no one died. Only a few officers were injured. So, should we…"
The officer then briefly explained the losses caused by the operation, but afterward became somewhat hesitant, as though he wanted to say something but did not dare to.
At the same time, the other officers who had personally witnessed Spider-Woman save all the survivors like a hero were also looking at Captain George expectantly.
"In that case, revoke the warrant for Spider-Woman."
"Yeah! The captain is wise!"
The officers immediately began applauding the decision of their own accord, especially the survivors Spider-Woman had just saved.
"All right. Issue another warrant and search with all our strength for that other guy causing destruction in the city."
George slowly pressed both hands down, interrupting the excited crowd before issuing another order.
"And one more thing. Everyone present must keep what just happened strictly confidential."
At that moment, Captain George’s face was filled with severity.
"All right, everyone, hurry up and clear the scene. Restore order here as soon as possible."
After giving that final instruction, Captain George turned and left.
"Captain, should we send a helicopter to take you back so you can rest?"
Seeing that the captain was preparing to leave, an officer kindly asked.
"…I’d better drive myself back."
Looking at the helicopter wreckage around him that had yet to be cleared away, George rejected the idea of flying in another helicopter without the slightest hesitation.
Meanwhile, high above the ground, ten thousand meters in the air.
"Woohoo!"
A figure streaked through the sky at high speed, leaving behind only an excited shout.
"What kind of Superman was I before? Now this is what a real Superman looks like!"
In the next moment, the figure speeding through the sky accelerated once more.
Then he dove straight down toward the clouds below.
The powerful impact unleashed by his incredible speed instantly scattered the white clouds, which were like cotton candy.
A silver-white trail followed behind the figure as he raced through the clouds.
After leaving a strange pattern in the sky that lingered for a long time,
the figure suddenly burst out of the clouds and dove downward again.
Over the vast, boundless ocean, a figure suddenly appeared, flying at high speed almost against the surface of the sea.
The airflow driven by his supersonic speed was like a sharp blade, cutting a deep trench across the ocean’s surface.
Amid the flying spray, Peter suddenly spotted what seemed to be a huge creature beneath the water.
Without hesitation, he plunged headfirst into the sea.
Splash!
In the next instant, a massive spray of water exploded from the surface hundreds of meters ahead.
An enormous whale burst from the sea and shot dozens of meters into the air.
Whale: I took off!
I’m coming back down!
Splash!
He had just tried skipping a whale across the water.
Watching a huge spray erupt from the sea, Peter shot into the sky once again.
He instantly broke the sound barrier and pierced through the clouds.
Spotting an airliner dozens of kilometers ahead, Peter accelerated again and flew straight after it.
After catching up to the airliner in just a few seconds, Peter slowed down and matched its speed.
He then slowly approached one of the windows, which was covered by a shade, and lightly knocked on it a few times.
As the shade opened, a child looked out the window with a puzzled expression.
"Dad, look! There’s Superman!"
Before the boy’s father could turn around, Peter waved at the child inside the plane.
In the next instant, he shot skyward again, soaring higher and higher.
The scene shifted.
In distant outer space, a figure spread his arms and faced the sun slowly rising over the horizon.
Golden radiance poured over him, dreamlike and ethereal!
