Upright in Conduct

Tony did not know much about these matters, but when he saw Lalatina say that filling something out would allow her to leave with him, he did not mind waiting a little longer.

Less than ten minutes later.

Lalatina had finished filling out the report, stating which important person she would be leaving with temporarily, how long she would be gone, and where she would be going.

Lalatina also packed her clothes and appeared before Tony.

"You brought quite a lot of stuff."

Seeing Lalatina with several rolling suitcases, Tony spoke.

"My things can all be shipped by air, so you do not need to worry, Mr. Tony."

Lalatina smiled when she heard that.

"Shipping them by air is troublesome too. I’ll just have someone come pick them up."

"Jarvis."

Tony called out immediately.

"Yes, sir. Please wait a moment. You may head downstairs to the landing pad now and wait. It will arrive shortly."

As Tony spoke, a pleasant male voice with a rich magnetic quality suddenly sounded throughout the villa.

Jarvis had been monitoring everything around Tony at all times.

Naturally, when Mr. Tony came to the Celebrity Hotel, Jarvis had been observing all along.

"…?"

Hearing the voice, Lalatina trembled all over and looked around, wanting to know who had answered.

"Let’s go. Straight to the landing pad."

Tony saw that Lalatina had been startled. Without explaining much, he headed straight for the elevator.

Lalatina hurriedly followed with her luggage.

When the villa managers in the first-floor lobby saw Lalatina leaving with her luggage alongside Tony Stark, they all gave her strange looks.

Just earlier, Lalatina had said that ideals were beautiful while reality was harsh, yet she was now planning to leave with a guest?

This behavior drew faintly disdainful looks from the other women nearby.

"…"

Lalatina felt the surrounding gazes prick at her like needles and could only feel helpless.

She had offered two options. One was for Mr. Tony to receive a direct refund. That way, she would remain on standby and could continue waiting for the next guest.

That would keep her from taking nearly a year off, changing her mindset, and becoming unwilling to work.

The second option was to leave with Mr. Tony and continue taking care of him throughout the one-year period.

Once the time was up, she could return to the Celebrity Hotel and resume her normal work.

Lalatina knew what those looks meant, but she also knew that explanations were futile sometimes.

"You’ve done nothing wrong. Hold your head up. What are you afraid of?"

"You do not need to care about other people’s gazes. Even if they wanted to work for me, they would not have the chance."

"Now that you have this opportunity, it should be something to be happy about, not something shameful."

Tony sensed the surrounding gazes. Seeing Lalatina unconsciously lower her head, he swept his eyes over the crowd and spoke coldly.

The moment those words came out, the strange looks around them greatly diminished.

Though they still felt that Lalatina’s conduct left something to be desired, they did not dare show such looks in front of Tony Stark.

Tony Stark was currently Xandar’s most famous and youngest arms dealer outside the military. He was talented, wealthy, and exceptionally handsome.

More importantly, Tony Stark belonged to the Void Cult. Being able to cling to someone like him was indeed an exceedingly rare opportunity.

"Thank you, Mr. Tony. I will do my duties well."

Hearing those words and seeing that her colleagues no longer dared look at her, Lalatina knew they would surely still gossip behind her back. Even so, she spoke gratefully.

Before long, Tony brought Lalatina to the landing pad. Just then, a space fighter flew over and accurately landed fifty meters away from Tony.

Then, under everyone’s watchful eyes, Tony led Lalatina aboard the space fighter and flew away.

Seeing that the space fighter had no pilot and was flying itself, Lalatina was somewhat bewildered.

"Hello, Miss Lalatina. I am the intelligent AI created by Mr. Tony. I pilot this space fighter, so you need not be surprised."

Jarvis saw Lalatina’s expression, knew what she was thinking, and took the initiative to speak.

"Mr. Jarvis? Hello."

Lalatina came back to her senses upon hearing that. She looked around, then spoke cautiously.

"You do not need to be surprised. Once you reach Void Island, many things will broaden your horizons, and some may leave you feeling uncomfortable."

"However, you can go to the Records Temple and ask Miss Sarah about Void Island."

Seeing Lalatina’s cautious demeanor, Tony spoke casually.

"Miss Sarah? Sarah-senpai?"

After hearing the name Mr. Tony mentioned, Lalatina called out once, then asked in confusion.

"I heard that Miss Sarah also came from the Celebrity Hotel, so she should be your senior."

"Most of my time on the island is spent either eating or researching."

"So you will usually have plenty of time to wander around the island."

"When the time comes, you can go talk to your Sarah-senpai first."

Tony nodded and spoke.

"Alright. Thank you for the suggestion, Mr. Tony."

Hearing this, Lalatina’s eyes held both surprise and delight as she smiled.

"Jarvis, head to the Records Temple first. Have Miss Sarah teach her some of the island’s rules."

Seeing Lalatina’s foolish expression, with every emotion plainly written on her face, Tony considered it for a moment before speaking.

"Yes."

Jarvis responded.

For the space fighter that Tony had already modified, traveling over two hundred kilometers from Xandar City to Void Island took only a few minutes.

Thus, Tony’s fighter soon came to a stop on the road near the Records Temple.

Normally, it should have parked at the landing pad, but so Lalatina could find the Records Temple directly, it temporarily stopped here.

"Go to that temple over there."

"Miss Sarah works there."

"Once you have learned about things, have Miss Sarah bring you to my laboratory."

After having Lalatina disembark from the fighter, Tony gave her directions.

"Alright."

Lalatina looked toward where Mr. Tony had indicated. Sure enough, she saw a sacred and majestic temple a hundred meters away. She nodded, and Tony left afterward.

"Looks like Tony gained something from his trip to the Celebrity Hotel this time."

Inside Summit Villa, Harvey looked somewhat surprised when he saw that Tony had actually brought back a beautiful woman.

"Mr. Kassadin, what did Mr. Tony bring back?"

Sonia was currently resting and browsing various bits of information online. Hearing Mr. Kassadin say that, she asked curiously.

"Tony brought back a beautiful woman from the Celebrity Hotel."

"That beautiful woman is currently on her way to the Records Temple. She should be looking for Sarah."

Harvey replied casually.

To Harvey, this was a good thing. The gender ratio on the island was severely unbalanced now, so having more beautiful women around was quite necessary for the sake of harmony.

"I’ll go take a look."

Hearing that Mr. Tony had brought a beautiful woman back from the Celebrity Hotel, Sonia was also rather concerned. After saying that, she immediately set off.
