Wanda’s Power

Whoosh—boom!

Iron Man spread his hands as energy rapidly gathered, then condensed into a blue-white laser that struck directly in front of Ebony Maw.

The invisible telekinetic barrier rippled violently. The next moment, dozens of missiles slammed into the area before Ebony Maw from other angles.

Flames from the explosions blasted outward from within the tower.

Seeing that Mercenary Tao, who had just been held hostage, had already escaped, Iron Man flew backward with incredible agility. The instant he landed, he grabbed Vision’s corpse. Then he spread his hands, and a distorted force field blocked the explosion before him as he flew out of the tower.

Below, terrifying, heavy footsteps rang out through the streets of Manhattan, accompanied by an enraged roar.

Banner had finally noticed the situation here and transformed into Hulk to provide support. Yet an even more terrifying presence came from the sky above.

Layer upon layer of intricate magic circles had completely enveloped the sky over New York. Behind the man standing in the air were six pairs of radiating shapes, like wings, like whirlwinds, or like some kind of solidified energy.

His white hair had grown beyond two meters long, spreading out behind him.

Using the properties of Magic Power: Sun and drawing upon the symbolic status of the star, the Sun, in mythology, Solomon had truly gained the sacred power of an angel for a brief time.

At this moment, he had successfully transformed into a ruler, looking down upon New York from above.

This was his ninth time entering this world. All his accumulation and preparation would bear fruit today.

When he had first entered this world, he had not even founded the Far East Magic Society.

Solomon swept his gaze around, then pointed with one finger.

Dragonfall Spear!

Countless silvery gleams seemed to light up in the sky, yet they formed no trajectory. Where those gleams converged, a silver Holy Lance appeared, vanishing into light the next moment.

Boom!

The silver Holy Lance, over a hundred meters long, pierced straight through the street in front of Stark Tower. After its glow faded, the concrete ground, the vehicles—everything had vanished. All that remained was a massive black crater hundreds of meters wide, with lava churning within it.

A casual attack had erased nearly half a city block.

Stark landed nearby and looked at the gigantic creature that had been enormous and completely unharmed even after taking his attack. Now, only less than half its corpse remained outside.

Most of its body had been completely melted away.

"FRIDAY, analyze… forget it. Everyone, get away from the crowds immediately. Draw that guy’s attacks somewhere far from civilians!"

Tony made that decision in an instant. He was no longer merely the wealthy playboy he had once been. Faced with power like a natural disaster, there seemed to be very little they could do right now.

Just as he was about to take off, he caught sight of Mercenary Tao from the corner of his eye. He was carrying Vision’s corpse in both arms and walking quickly toward Wanda, his face displaying an utterly incongruous expression of grief.

If Tony had not happened to witness it, he likely would not have noticed the rapid shifts in expression over such a short time.

This Mercenary Tao… was he controlling his expressions like a robot?!

A chill suddenly ran through him. The confidence he had just formed after personally seeing the man fight those people began to waver.

That was right. He had not seen the truth behind Vision’s death. If…

There was no time to think. Silvery radiance lit up once more.

Ebony Maw’s heart trembled. This power… how could it be so terrifying?!

His figure began flickering through the air as he changed positions.

As Bai Cangshu walked, he pushed Mantra’s sensory capabilities to their limit, constantly calculating in his mind…

Come on, Solomon. You’ve noticed my weakness too, haven’t you? Attack me!

Come on, try to kill me!

As long as Solomon attacked him now, there would no longer be any flaw in his plan.

Bai Cangshu could sense that Iron Man’s attention was still fixed on him. If he were killed before Tony Stark’s eyes now, then Tony Stark would probably feel guilty over his suspicions of him.

Ha… heroes really are easy to use!

But to Bai Cangshu’s disappointment, Solomon seemed to truly be abiding by their contract. He kept attacking and suppressing the members of the Black Order who had appeared, allowing Bai Cangshu to walk toward Wanda.

Wanda had originally been flying in the air, but when she saw the black-haired man walking toward her below, along with the figure in his arms, her mind went blank.

As though Chaos Magic had failed outright, she fell from the sky. Bai Cangshu’s brow twitched, and he silently stepped forward two paces, catching her at just the right moment.

Only then did he put on a pained expression and say,

"I’m sorry, Miss Wanda. I arrived too late. I couldn’t save Mr. Vision…"

"He was… his head was cut open by several people who suddenly appeared, using a sharp blade…"

As if unable to continue, Bai Cangshu pushed Vision’s corpse forward and placed it in Wanda’s arms.

Wanda’s pupils shook violently. Bai Cangshu could practically feel the fragile nerves in her mind snapping one by one.

She had fought Ebony Maw and the others before. That blade, capable of slicing through Vibranium as easily as cutting cake, was the nightmare of both her and Vision.

She had not expected that after returning to New York, with their entire group nearby inside Stark Tower, Vision would still be killed…

His head had even been cut open, and the Mind Stone taken.

Trembling, Wanda placed a hand on Vision’s severed head. Vision’s eyes had not closed. He still wore an expression of disbelief, as though his attacker had struck too quickly for him to react.

Wanda closed Vision’s eyes, then tightly embraced the corpse that would never bleed. She held him with such force that it was as though she wanted to merge Vision into her own body.

"Why…"

Wanda simply could not understand why everything had turned out this way. They did not know the person in the sky, nor did they know those aliens wielding blades.

Yet everyone wanted only to kill Vision and take that stone.

They had hidden for two years, but in the end, he was still killed—killed in such a brutal manner.

Wanda’s emotions began fluctuating violently.

At some point, Bai Cangshu, standing so close beside her, had fully opened his eyes. He covered his chest as Logic and Life Return activated one after another.

The black hair behind his head began growing once more as countless streams of information converged from all directions.

Behind Bai Cangshu, that invisible Spiral Power began turning again.

That’s it… Wanda.

Suffer. Break down. Scream. Destroy this world…!

He stepped back two paces, blood already pouring from his nose and mouth. His body, operating at full capacity, was rapidly being affected by Existential Damage, but he was incomparably curious about Wanda’s transformation under these circumstances.

He wanted to see clearly just how that power of chaos began changing along with Wanda’s mental state!

Scarlet light flowed from Wanda’s fingertips. At first, the thick light was not particularly intense, but in the blink of an eye, it had enveloped Wanda and Vision.

An extremely dangerous aura began to emerge before Bai Cangshu.

The oppressive force Wanda gave off swiftly surpassed heroes of the Avengers such as Hulk, then soon surpassed Ebony Maw.

Bai Cangshu stepped back another two paces. By then, Captain America and Black Widow farther away had also noticed the change here.

Steve had only managed to cry out Wanda’s name before scarlet mist swallowed Bai Cangshu.
