War Begins

Hearing High Priestess Ayesha’s words, Frank and the others could not help exchanging glances. Naturally, they knew where the Blood God was, but the problem was, saying it would be useless.

Annie said, "High Priestess Ayesha, there’s no need to worry. Master has already arranged everything. Sovereign will be fine."

High Priestess Ayesha laughed in exasperation. "How could I not worry? Other than the Blood God, who else can stop a Planet-Destroying Weapon?"

"It’s just a Planet-Destroying Weapon. What the hell are you scared of? I’ll destroy it."

Thor’s arrogant voice came through the communicator. Everyone rolled their eyes. This husky had been locked up for over half a year and was now a little too eager to show off.

Carol snorted and said, "A Planet-Destroying Weapon is indeed powerful, but it requires a great deal of charging time. With my strength, I could destroy it three times before it finishes charging."

Thor said excitedly, "Carol, let’s compete and see who destroys that Planet-Destroying Weapon first."

"You think I’m afraid of you?"

Carol said. She would not lose to a man.

"You are indeed powerful."

High Priestess Ayesha snorted. "But the Kree Empire isn’t stupid. They will definitely guard against superpowered beings like you. Besides, the Elders of the Universe will most likely support them. We know nothing about the strength and influence those Elders possess."

"I already said Master has arranged everything. Just obey orders."

Annie said impatiently, "Master doesn’t like losing, and neither will we let him lose."

Frank also said unhappily, "That’s right. Just sit back and watch the show. Why are you so damn long-winded? When your genes were modified, why didn’t they remove the gene that makes women nag?"

"I can’t pretend I didn’t hear that."

Carol said displeasedly. Frank rolled his eyes. He and Carol had clashed quite a few times these past few days.

As a former soldier, Frank was used to speaking without restraint.

High Priestess Ayesha sighed. At this point, she could only obediently follow orders. These Earthlings were just as arrogant as the Blood God. How hateful.

High Priestess Ayesha gritted her teeth inwardly. Damn primitive lifeforms.

At that moment, a communication request came in from the Kree Empire. Their commander got straight to the point. "High Priestess Ayesha, the Blood God is trapped in Hell and can barely protect himself. If you surrender now, it’s not too late."

"The Blood God is trapped in Hell?"

High Priestess Ayesha froze, then glared angrily at Frank and the others. "This is what you meant by saying the Blood God arranged everything?"

"Master has indeed arranged everything. High Priestess Ayesha, don’t use your pitiful brain capacity to measure Master’s wisdom."

Annie said, "I’ll say this one last time. Just wait and watch the show. Today, there will be a grand show, one that will shake the Entire Universe."

High Priestess Ayesha gritted her teeth in fury. "I’ll wait. I just hope what you put on isn’t a comedy."

Frank shouted into the communication channel, "Supreme Intelligence, come out."

"Who are you?"

The Supreme Intelligence’s voice rang out. "If you are valuable enough, I am willing to accept your surrender."

"You think you deserve my surrender?"

Punisher Frank smiled disdainfully. "We Earthlings have a principle: if others don’t offend us, we don’t offend them. Supreme Intelligence, I’ll give you one last chance. Withdraw your troops, or don’t blame us for being rude."

"Is this some Earthling joke? An ant threatening a tiger?"

The Supreme Intelligence laughed contemptuously, and the other Kree did the same. This time, they had dispatched an entire main force legion, with far more troops than Sovereign.

"A tiger? You dare call yourselves tigers in front of us Earthlings?"

Frank snorted. "Supreme Intelligence, I’ll wait for you to beg me."

"Earthling, you have successfully amused me."

The Supreme Intelligence said, "Since you refuse to surrender, prepare to die. Adam and Eve are mine for the taking."

With that, the Kree Empire cut off communications. Frank sneered repeatedly. Trying to fight Bert? They truly did not know whether they were dead or alive.

High Priestess Ayesha sneered. "I have to admit, the courage of you Earthlings is far beyond my imagination."

"Shut up."

Frank barked, then said toward Blood God, "Ivan, they’re coming."

"No matter how many come today, they’ll all die."

Ivan grinned viciously. "Everything has been arranged according to Bert’s instructions."

"Good."

Frank nodded in satisfaction. Now they only had to wait for the Kree Fleet to come and die.

In Hell, Wang Bert sensed the situation on Sovereign and sneered. So what if they were the Three Great Empires? If they dared provoke him, he would still make them pay.

At this moment, Adam’s aura had gradually stabilized, indicating that he was about to be born. The Hell Lords were all rubbing their hands together. Once the seal was lifted, they would rush in at once and teach Wang Bert how to behave.

With so many Hell Lords, there was no way the Blood God could survive.

Grandmaster’s projection suddenly appeared. He mocked Wang Bert, "Blood God, you’re quite lucky. You still have a life to witness Sovereign’s destruction."

Wang Bert glanced at Grandmaster disdainfully and said, "Let’s make a bet. I bet Sovereign won’t be destroyed today."

The moment he heard the word bet, Grandmaster immediately asked excitedly, "What’s the wager? Don’t say something like your life. Your life is already gone."

"If you lose…"

Wang Bert transmitted his terms to Grandmaster, then said, "If I lose, I’ll give you the Power Stone. This is extra and doesn’t count toward our previous wager."

Grandmaster hesitated for a moment, then said, "I can accept this bet, but you must also add the wealth and treasures you got from Tivan."

"You want to return them to him?"

Grandmaster immediately said, "How could that be? Even brothers settle accounts clearly. I’ll use that money to rebuild the arena."

"You truly are a fine brother. Then it’s settled."

Wang Bert snorted. Grandmaster nodded and said smugly, "No problem, Blood God. I’ll soon see the look of despair on your face."

Wang Bert sneered. "Sorry, you definitely won’t. A mere Kree Empire isn’t worth my notice."

"You Earthlings truly are unmatched in the universe when it comes to boasting."

Grandmaster gave Wang Bert a thumbs-up. One of the Three Great Empires, the Kree Empire, and he called it mere? Why didn’t he just fly into the sky?

The Hell Lords watched everything coldly. They did not care about any bet. As long as the Blood God remained in Hell, that was enough.

Aboard Dark Sky, the Kree Empire’s main force flagship, the Supreme Intelligence instructed through a screen, "The Earthlings are so confident that they must have a trump card. Have those space pirates attack first. Otherwise, destroy them directly."

Although the Supreme Intelligence did not regard the Earthlings highly, it would not be careless. This battle was very important to it.

"Understood."

The Kree captain nodded and ordered the main force legion to lock onto the space pirates and force them to serve as the vanguard.

The space pirates were furious and alarmed. Some immediately turned around to flee, but the Kree captain snorted and controlled the warships to fire upon them. As dozens of energy beams flashed, all those ships were blasted apart.

"I’m not asking you. I’m ordering you. The Kree Empire’s advantages are not so easy to take."

The Kree captain sneered. "But don’t worry. We won’t treat you as cannon fodder. We’ll enter the battlefield with you."

The space pirates had no choice but to obey, piloting their colorful, battered warships rapidly toward Sovereign.

Under the captain’s command, the Kree legion retreated behind the space pirates, though not too far away.

"Using space pirates as cannon fodder? Then let’s wait a little longer."

Ivan snorted and ordered, "Deploy the Clone Corps and the giant beasts."

"Yes."

Korath accepted the order. Blood God opened its hatches, and a large number of clones rode out on Space Motorcycles, followed closely by more than a dozen Leviathans.

Before long, the space pirates arrived near Sovereign. Looking at the vast fleet array waiting in formation, their scalps tingled, but under pressure from the Kree Fleet, they could only charge forward.

War erupted immediately. A large number of clones riding Space Motorcycles rushed rapidly toward the space pirates.

The Kree commander shouted, "Be careful! These biological humans can explode, but their defenses are weak. Use area-of-effect weapons such as electric nets against them."

"Understood."

The space pirates responded and fired electric net shells, plasma bombs, explosive shells, and other area-of-effect weapons at the clones.

With the clones’ pitiful defensive power, once they were hit by these attacks, they would certainly die.

"Earthlings, you were arrogant before only because we did not understand you. Now that we know what you can do, you are not worth mentioning at all. Natives will always be natives."

The Kree commander smiled disdainfully. Just as the area attacks were about to engulf the Clone Corps, the entire Clone Corps suddenly vanished. When they reappeared, they were already in front of the space pirates’ warships.

Immediately afterward, the clones slammed into the warships and exploded violently. Huge holes were instantly blown through the ships, and countless space pirates fell into space and died miserably.

The Kree, including the Supreme Intelligence, were all stunned. "How is this possible? These clones can actually use Teleportation?"

"Teleportation? You actually developed such a powerful genetic ability and applied it on a massive scale to clones?"

High Priestess Ayesha was also dumbfounded. Lizard Doctor laughed triumphantly. "A trivial matter. It isn’t difficult for me at all."

Thinking of something, Lizard Doctor said with a look of contempt, "I actually gave the relevant technology to the Blood God long ago, but those scientists only know how to coast on old achievements. They haven’t researched anything at all. What a bunch of useless trash. No wonder the Blood God had to bring me back."

The Earthlings in the command room were extremely displeased. Frank, in particular, stared at Lizard Doctor with killing intent. In truth, if he had not trusted Wang Bert, he would have killed Lizard Doctor long ago.

Lizard Doctor had no bottom line, yet he was exceptionally talented. People like him were simply too dangerous.

High Priestess Ayesha asked curiously, "Can this Teleportation ability be used continuously? Is there a distance limit?"

"You’re overthinking it. They’re just cheap mass-produced goods worth tens of thousands."

Lizard Doctor sneered. "They can only teleport once, and the range is limited. They also cannot pass through a Defense Shield. Still, it’s enough."

"It really is enough."

Watching the space pirate warships explode one after another under the Clone Corps’ assault, High Priestess Ayesha nodded deeply in agreement. She could not help glancing at Lizard Doctor. She had not expected the Earthlings to have such an incredible geneticist.

Thinking of something, High Priestess Ayesha’s expression changed. This guy was so capable—had he secretly learned Sovereign’s genetic technology? Under the Clone Corps’ powerful offensive, the space pirates only held out for a short while before they began to collapse and scatter in all directions.

These teleporting high-temperature biological clones were simply too terrifying.

After observing for a while, the Supreme Intelligence said, "The space pirates are too useless. They aren’t even qualified to be cannon fodder. Send ten main ships to scout the way."

"Yes."

The Kree commander immediately nodded. Ten Kree main ships, accompanied by a large number of warships, promptly advanced. A Kree Empire main force legion had dozens of main ships.

The Kree commander ordered, "Deploy the small fighters. No matter how powerful the clones are, their numbers are limited. Seal them off with a dense network of firepower."

The ten main ships all acknowledged and deployed a large number of small fighters. Seeing that the Kree Fleet was getting serious, Ivan snorted and controlled more than a thousand Drone Armors to fly out from Blood God.

Ivan ordered, "Sovereign, attack."

"Yes."

The Sovereign immediately remotely controlled dense swarms of drone fighters toward the Kree Fleet. To them, controlling these ships was no different from playing a game.

"Attack."

Neither side wasted words. They fired madly at each other. Though the Sovereign were arrogantly annoying, their abilities were undeniably formidable. Kree fighters exploded one after another under their fire, turning into debris.

"Clone Corps, advance again."

Ivan gave the order again. The clones rode their Space Motorcycles and charged forward once more. The Kree commander hurriedly ordered the warships to conduct massive barrages around themselves, preventing the clones from teleporting close.

As cannon fodder, the clones’ defense was undoubtedly their greatest weakness.

Seeing this, Ivan snorted and controlled over a thousand Drone Armors into ten neat formations, flying together toward the ten main ships.

"These Drone Armors are probably just meant to draw our attention."

The Kree commander immediately said, "Watch out for Invisibility Armor and nuclear bombs. Fire energy shells."

Following the commander’s order, the ten main ships fired energy shells all around them. These energy shells had little actual destructive power and were merely layers of energy waves constantly sweeping through the surrounding space.

Having no destructive power did not mean they were useless. As the energy waves swept past, ten Invisibility Armors were revealed.

"Ivan, you idiot! You actually sent out the Invisibility Armor so early."

Tony’s voice came through the communicator. Though he could not join the battle, he had been watching closely—Shuri had secretly opened a video feed for him.

Ivan sneered. "Don’t use your shallow intelligence to measure mine."

The Kree commander ordered, "Use Annihilation Rays to destroy them."

Dozens of pitch-black Annihilation Rays shot toward the Invisibility Armor. At that moment, all the Invisibility Armor vanished. The Kree commander’s expression changed drastically, and he hurriedly shouted, "All main ships, immediately release destructive energy in every direction!"

The Kree commander reacted quickly, but he was still too late. Ten Invisibility Armors appeared out of thin air in the blind spots beneath the ten main ships. Then, they all exploded. Ten blinding lights appeared in space, and within those lights, the ten Kree main ships and all nearby fighters were reduced to ashes.
