Zhixin, the Free Labor! War Council!

"If Carl had designs on the Shadow World, then now that things have already happened, going back would be pointless."

Chu Yang raised a hand to signal Zhixin to calm down, then said, "You should figure out how to connect with the Sacred Knowledge Vault first!"

"The technology you currently possess probably can’t do it, but Ge Xiaolun is the Galaxy Force and has already advanced to a third-generation body. You can use the special qualities in his super gene to construct a Void Controller."

"I’m sure that won’t be too difficult for you."

Zhixin’s eyes lit up slightly. She felt that this approach was quite feasible.

After all, returning to the Angel Nebula in a short time was simply unrealistic.

After Keisha’s death, the Angel Nebula would inevitably enter a state of high alert, and she could only return through the Great Wormhole Bridge.

But the problem was…

There was no spaceship!

Earth did have a Deno No. 3, but neither she nor Zhao Xin had enough clout to borrow it.

By comparison, using Ge Xiaolun’s super gene as a foundation to build a Void Controller, then using it to establish contact with the Sacred Knowledge Vault or Tian Ren No. 7, would undoubtedly be much faster.

Acting as soon as she decided, Zhixin stood up and said, "I’ll go find Ge Xiaolun right now!"

Zhao Xin remained completely bewildered, unable to understand a word the two were saying. Seeing his wife about to leave, he bade Chu Yang farewell and hurried after her.

Watching the two leave, Chu Yang smiled.

What was the scarcest thing in the universe?

Talent!

Especially top-tier talent like Zhixin, who had inherited He Xi’s mantle!

In technology alone, setting aside Carl, who possessed the Big Clock, there were truly few people in the universe stronger than Zhixin!

Once Ge Xiaolun had the "Heroic Core," or even "Heaven and Earth," after Chu Yang fused with the God River Gene Chain, he could completely replicate them. And because his starting point was higher, the Void Controller and Celestial Computer he created would be even more powerful!

Leaving the conference room, Chu Yang found Du Kao and asked bluntly, "Old Du, how are the preparations I asked for coming along?"

Du Kao frowned. "We modified a Taotie warship and removed its weapons system, but its defensive systems and speed are even better than before."

"It’s just… are you sure you want to hold the War Council aboard this warship?"

"Even if all the defensive systems are redirected inward, if a real fight breaks out, this warship definitely won’t be able to withstand it!"

Chu Yang smiled. "Don’t worry! They won’t make a move, and they won’t dare!"

Du Kao fell silent, though worry still lingered in his eyes.

It had to be admitted that Chu Yang was powerful, but the problem was…

Facing so many civilizations, including several powerful main gods, if those people joined forces against him, could Chu Yang really suppress them all by himself?

Some civilizations would certainly choose to support Chu Yang, but any civilization that stood to benefit from the War Edicts was relatively weak. Their high-end combat power could be completely disregarded.

To put it plainly, this War Council was destined to become a gathering of the universe’s top powerhouses launching a "crusade" against Chu Yang!

Chu Yang suddenly recalled Keisha’s words. Thinking about it carefully, this really did resemble a trial before a new king ascended the throne.

It was just that these so-called gods were unworthy of serving as his examiners!

Warship was the new name given to the modified Taotie warship.

A council that would affect the entire universe would be held aboard this warship.

It was worth mentioning that although the Taotie Legion had once brought despair to Earth, Chu Yang’s efforts to turn the tide had instead made it an opportunity for Earth.

Chu Yang had only taken one cross-shaped ship. He left all the remaining warships and spacecraft to Earth, greatly advancing the planet’s overall technological level.

Of course, China benefited the most. Other countries could only sip the leftovers, but then the demons came one after another and directly overturned their bowls, nearly leaving them without even any scraps.

However, restrained by Chu Yang’s deterrence, Morgana did not go too far. She merely spread ideas of depravity and freedom while scattering Demon Genes.

After the Demon Genes were retrieved, whether the various countries could curb those ideas of depravity and freedom would depend entirely on their own abilities.

Milky Way Galaxy, Great Wormhole Bridge.

Carl had left this behind many years ago, but it had now effectively become a public passageway.

At the exit of the Great Wormhole Bridge, Warship remained in silent mode. Representatives from the major civilizations would enter directly, but Chu Yang, the host, had yet to appear.

Holding the council aboard Warship and stationing it within the Milky Way Galaxy was undoubtedly a display of Chu Yang’s confidence. He was making it clear that he was not afraid of the major civilizations plotting anything behind his back.

Representatives from many civilizations were also holding back their anger, wanting to crush Chu Yang at the council and use that chance to probe Earth’s secrets.

Back then, creating a Sun Wukong from the genetic codes in mythology had already drawn the interest of many civilizations toward Earth.

For example, the De Nuo Civilization, the Lielang Civilization, and Carl, the god of death!

Now, another Chu Yang had appeared. Even Keisha had treated him with courtesy while she was alive. He had intimidated the Lielang Civilization, coerced Morgana, and created a Void Battlefield.

Everyone attributed these two beings to the secrets hidden on Earth.

Sun Wukong was still understandable. He was a fusion of a Third Generation God Body and a Third Generation Beast Body. But Chu Yang was simply too unfathomable.

Everyone knew that his power came from something beyond super genes!

Previously, aside from genetic codes, only the void researched by Carl possessed supreme power. But the void was too dangerous and too difficult to conquer.

By comparison, an Earth that posed little threat without Chu Yang had undoubtedly become a plump lamb in the universe.

Within three days after Chu Yang publicly announced the council, representatives from the vast majority of civilizations had already arrived aboard Warship.

Chu Yang’s continued absence made many feel slighted, and they were quite dissatisfied.

Those who had yet to arrive also included Carl, the god of death, Morgana, the Demon Queen, and Yan, the new Angel Queen!

Many ancient beings had never even heard Yan’s name. Everyone had assumed that after Keisha’s death, Heavenly Based King He Xi would take the throne.

Yet they had never expected some inexperienced young girl to rise to the position!

On the fourth day after the news spread, Morgana arrived late, with Rose in black armor at her side.

She had not brought Suo Dun or A Tuo. There had recently been considerable activity in the Shadow World, so she had sent Suo Dun there. On one hand, she wanted to cause the angels some trouble; on the other, she wanted to contain Carl’s actions.

While reaching an agreement over Rose, Chu Yang had also told Morgana about Carl’s scheme.

Morgana was very displeased that her old friend had betrayed her and used her to get rid of Keisha.

Though she had been happy enough to do it, the nature of things changed completely when cooperation became exploitation.

Yan arrived afterward. Compared with before, perhaps because she had transformed from a left-wing guard into the Angel Queen, she had lost some of her youthful immaturity and gained more composure and decisiveness.

Now, she looked more like the Thunder God of War revered by countless people on Freyja.

Yan had brought only Moe with her, her right-wing guard.

With Keisha’s fall, Zhixin had automatically stepped down from the position of right-wing guard, and Moe had taken over.

The current left-wing guard was Angel Zhui.

With He Xi guarding Angel King City, nothing would happen even if Yan was absent.

But the situation in the Shadow World was urgent, so Yan had dispatched a large number of high-ranking angels under Zhui’s leadership to bring the situation under control.

On the fifth day, just as many people were beginning to grow restless, Chu Yang finally appeared!

The original command center aboard God of War had been turned into a conference room. Representatives from the major civilizations sat around a round table, arranged according to their civilizations’ heritage and strength.

Chu Yang sat at the head of the table, with Yan on his left and Morgana on his right.

His gaze swept across the room as he casually asked, "Carl still isn’t here?"

No one answered. Everyone knew that regardless of whether Carl attended this council, he was destined to stand in opposition to Chu Yang.

For Carl, who enjoyed researching death, establishing a Void Battlefield in the Styx Galaxy was certainly a good thing, but the problem was…

The Taotie Legion of the Styx Galaxy belonged to Carl, yet Chu Yang had wiped them out completely. The two sides had already become enemies.

What was more, the battlefield was on Carl’s doorstep, yet Chu Yang wanted to set the rules. How could Carl possibly agree?

But that fellow was as cautious as ever, unwilling even to show himself at the council.

It was rather laughable. A man who studied death, had even abandoned his physical body and turned himself into a phantom form, was still afraid of death.

"Since he isn’t here yet, then he doesn’t need to come at all!"

Chu Yang’s tone was calm, but his voice carried a hint of coldness. "I gathered everyone here today mainly for two matters."

"First is the War Edicts. The Void Battlefield has already been constructed, and I’m sure everyone knows about it."

"But if we want this battlefield to impose sufficient restraint, we must establish strict War Edicts, to be jointly supervised by all civilizations!"

"Anyone who violates them will be punished by all major civilizations together!"

Chu Yang paused, then said indifferently, "The first War Edict: no one from the Dark Nebula may enter the Void Battlefield or start a war anywhere in the universe. Those who do will be killed without mercy!"

Since Carl would not come, Chu Yang would kick him out!

That old schemer Carl would definitely continue stirring up trouble from the shadows, but as long as his people dared show their faces, they would become rats everyone wanted dead!

Of course, Chu Yang knew perfectly well that Carl had plenty of ways to deal with this.

For example, he could find other civilizations and provide them with power and technological assistance, using them as his weapons. Carl excelled at that sort of thing.

But Chu Yang did not care. He merely wanted to make an example of Carl and disgust him while he was at it.

"Chu Yang, since you just said all civilizations should supervise this together, shouldn’t the War Edicts also be drafted jointly by all of us?"

A young man standing nearly three meters tall, heroic and imposing, stared directly at Chu Yang with sharp eyes. "These War Edicts are meant to restrain the entire universe. How can they be decided based solely on your personal likes and dislikes?"

Here it came!

Everyone’s hearts trembled slightly. They knew this council was about to turn into a storm!

Although everyone wanted to deal with Chu Yang, no one wanted to be the first to stick their neck out. Yet this young man had no such reservations.

"Yan, who is he?" Chu Yang glanced at the young man.

Yan said softly, "Prince Wall of the Woma Civilization."

Chu Yang raised his brows and gave Wall an odd look. He could not help admiring the man’s father for being a naming genius.

Woma Civilization… Prince Wall… Could there be an Emperor Woma too?

"My son is right! The War Council is not my personal dictatorship, but Carl’s absence—or rather, his contempt for this council—must come at a price!"

Chu Yang smiled. "No matter who it is, anyone who refuses to join the War Council and accept the restrictions of the War Edicts will be regarded as a heretic!"

"Heretics have no right to start wars, nor do they have the right to participate in them!"

"Otherwise, what would be the point of the Void Battlefield and the War Edicts?"

Chu Yang’s words plunged many people into silence. Wall felt that something was wrong, but he could not grasp the key point.

Chu Yang was right. If someone could refuse to accept the War Edicts and still do whatever they pleased in the universe, then what would be the point of constructing the Void Battlefield and holding this War Council?

Wall spoke again. "There is another issue. If each of us proposes edicts, what standard will be used to evaluate them and determine whether they are adopted?"

"Your personal judgment?"

"Or will everyone vote?"

The people around the round table wore varying expressions. Those willing to support Chu Yang felt that Wall was being overly aggressive.

But those who wanted to watch the show—or had already intended to deal with Chu Yang—were applauding inwardly.

Wall’s words had pushed Chu Yang into a corner. Either he gave up control, or he declared himself a "dictator"!

But with so many civilizations present, including quite a few powerful ones, who would be willing to accept the dictatorship of some inexperienced young man?

"Of course…" Chu Yang narrowed his eyes slightly, the smile still on his face. "My personal judgment!"

The room instantly fell silent. At the same time, Chu Yang’s expression turned cold. "I created the Void Battlefield. The fact that I’m sitting here and holding this council with you already gives you plenty of face!"

"If anyone is dissatisfied with me, or unwilling to accept the control of the War Edicts, then they can leave directly, just like Carl!"

"Or you can challenge my authority. I’ll beat you until you acknowledge my judgment!"

If Chu Yang’s earlier words had made the conference room awkwardly quiet, these words made the air itself burn hot.

There was no doubt that he was declaring war on every voice of opposition!

Dissatisfied? Want to deal with me?

Then come! Put it all out in the open!

At the end, Chu Yang added, "If anyone keeps yapping like this Wall, like some unfilial son, then you can get the hell out right now!"

Wall finally understood what had felt wrong!

Damn it…

This guy was not calling his name at all!

He was clearly taking advantage of him!

"Chu Yang! No one has ever dared humiliate the Woma Civilization like this!"

Wall slammed his hand on the table and rose to his feet. "Even Holy Keisha had to show my father some respect!"

"You only wiped out a puny Taotie force, yet you dare spout such arrogant nonsense before all the major civilizations?"
