A Year of Trial Training

"What exactly should I do?"

Seeing Sonia-senpai directly admit that this was an opportunity for her, Sarah asked thoughtfully.

"I’ve already told you what you need to do."

"Build good relationships with them, keep records of the comings and goings of the others on Void Island, and find out where they intend to go when they plan to travel far."

"Most importantly, you must ensure the information is accurate."

"Other than that, there won’t be any additional work."

"You can rest assured of that."

"I can pay you six hundred thousand upfront. If anything comes up during this period that falls outside the scope of this job—"

"I can directly pay you the remaining six hundred thousand and let you leave."

Sonia understood Sarah’s concerns and explained.

Back then, she had trusted Mr. Kassadin completely because serving him had genuinely been easy.

Moreover, Mr. Kassadin had paid her extremely well.

Although the things she had to handle every day now far exceeded what a butler should have done—

Sonia had no complaints. On the contrary, she was grateful to Mr. Kassadin for giving her this opportunity, and she was happy to see Void Island develop step by step.

"You’ve put it that way. If I still refused, I’d be showing far too little trust in you, Sonia-senpai."

Hearing this, a faint smile appeared on Sarah’s sexy, alluring face as she spoke.

She knew that Sonia-senpai’s life had likely changed dramatically from what it had been in the past.

And Sonia-senpai had never cheated or deceived her before, so she wanted to give it a try.

"Good. Then come back to Void Island with me in a little while."

Seeing that Sarah had agreed, Sonia smiled, nodded, and spoke.

"Alright. I’ll pack some clothes and go with you in a bit."

"But Sonia-senpai, can you secretly tell me how you won over Mr. Kassadin back then?"

"Did you make him decide to keep you?"

Hearing that they would be leaving shortly, Sarah did not refuse. Instead, she asked in a low voice, curious.

"The Celebrity Hotel has been spreading rumors that Mr. Kassadin keeps me, hasn’t it?"

"But in truth, I’ve only been diligently doing my work for Mr. Kassadin and for the Void Cult."

Hearing Sarah’s words, Sonia revealed a helpless smile and replied.

"He doesn’t keep you? You and Mr. Kassadin haven’t done that sort of thing?"

Sarah’s eyes widened in disbelief as she asked.

"No."

Sonia shook her head.

If Mr. Kassadin had brought it up, she definitely would have agreed. But the problem was that he had never mentioned it, so even if she wanted to share his bed, she had never had the chance.

"Then how exactly am I supposed to earn Mr. Kassadin’s approval?"

Seeing Sonia-senpai immediately shake her head, Sarah had no idea what to do.

She had thought that Sonia-senpai was so beautiful that Mr. Kassadin had been somewhat moved by her and thus acknowledged her.

But the answer was not what she had imagined, leaving her uncertain as well.

"You don’t need to think about that sort of thing."

"As long as you do your own job well, you’ll have a chance of earning Mr. Kassadin’s approval."

Seeing Sarah immediately set her sights on Mr. Kassadin, Sonia was somewhat speechless as she spoke.

"Alright, I guarantee I’ll complete the mission."

"Besides, won’t you be watching over me?"

"How could I dare slack off?"

Hearing that she simply needed to do her job well, Sarah directly hugged Sonia and rubbed against her playfully as she laughed.

"Sarah, this time I can’t give you too much guidance, much less teach you personally."

"But you don’t need to worry about anything going wrong or encountering any danger."

"At worst, you can still take the one million two hundred thousand and leave."

"Still, I hope you can earn Mr. Kassadin’s approval too."

Seeing Sarah hug her and act spoiled, Sonia reached out and gently stroked Sarah’s beautiful red hair as she spoke softly.

"…Mm. I’ll work hard."

In Sonia’s embrace, hearing those words and feeling that gentle touch, Sarah felt as though she had returned to seven years ago. Her eyes flickered as she nodded.

Back then, after Sonia-senpai had taught her many things, Sarah found it too difficult because Sonia-senpai had been too strict and ended up crying.

Sonia-senpai would gently hold her and tell her that she was being so strict because she hoped Sarah could pass the assessment and remain at the Celebrity Hotel.

It was also because of that initial strictness that she had worked at the Celebrity Hotel for eight years already.

Over those eight years, countless newcomers had wanted to join, while many seniors had been eliminated outright.

This time was different from before. She was neither crying nor feeling wronged, but she could still sense Sonia-senpai’s kind heart.

"Go pack some clothes first."

"Once I take you to Void Island and let you see the situation there, it won’t be too late to decide whether you want to accept this job."

Sonia gently patted Sarah’s back as she spoke.

"Alright."

Hearing this, Sarah released her hands and pulled away from Sonia’s embrace.

Afterward, Sarah immediately returned to her room and packed ten outfits in different styles.

"Is this your space fighter, Sonia-senpai?"

Sarah followed Sonia downstairs. She had thought they would be leaving by car, but instead they headed to the airfield. Seeing an incredibly cool space fighter, her eyes widened.

"Mr. Kassadin gave it to me so I could use it for transportation from time to time."

"But you don’t need to be so surprised. There are plenty more things on Void Island that will surprise you."

Sonia smiled as she replied.

"Sonia-senpai, do you really only work for Mr. Kassadin?"

Hearing that a space fighter worth tens of millions had simply been given away, Sarah began to question reality and asked in a low voice.

"Of course. Why would I lie to you about something like that?"

"But it’s fine to say these things here."

"Once you’re on the island, watch what you say."

Sonia rolled her eyes helplessly and warned her seriously.

"Mm, I’ll be careful."

Seeing Sonia-senpai’s serious expression, Sarah stopped teasing her and obediently agreed.

Afterward, Sonia took Sarah to Void Island.

As they looked down upon Void Island from the air—

"Sonia-senpai, why can so many people fly?"

Seeing some figures on the island, their nimble movements, and people flying outright, Sarah pointed at several people below, rubbed her eyes, and asked.

"You can think of most people on Void Island as superpowered individuals."

"So flying isn’t anything unusual."

Seeing Sarah’s shocked expression, Sonia smiled.

Among the Void Cult members on the island, relatively few women came seeking power.

So having Sarah undergo a year of trial training here would also allow the other Void Cult members to experience the feeling of being admired and revered, letting them take better care of Sarah.
