Ambushing the Ravagers

Hearing Gamora’s question, Wang Bert asked in surprise, "Thanos knows me?"

"Thanos once told me that if he wanted to fulfill his dream, three people stood in his way the most: Sorcerer Supreme Ancient One, God King Odin, and Blood God Bert Wang."

Gamora said, "You’re male and so young, so you definitely aren’t Ancient One or Odin."

"Should I be honored?"

Wang Bert sneered and asked, "Why have you come?"

"I came for the Space Stone."

Gamora briefly explained that the Ravagers were about to arrive, then said, "This is actually Thanos’s scheme."

"I know it’s his scheme, but I don’t know what he wants to do."

Wang Bert said without changing expression, "Does he really think a mere group of Ravagers can take the Space Stone from me?"

"Buddy, you’re really good at bragging."

Rocket scoffed. "A mere group of Ravagers? Ravagers have destroyed who knows how many backwater planets like yours."

Wang Bert glanced at Rocket and turned a finger. A portal appeared beneath Rocket’s feet, and Rocket fell straight through it. Groot flew into a rage and reached out to attack Wang Bert, but with a casual wave of Wang Bert’s hand, he vanished as well.

"Please forgive them, Blood God. They aren’t bad people."

Gamora hurriedly pleaded for them. No wonder Thanos valued the Blood God so highly. He really was powerful.

Wang Bert said, "Don’t worry. It’s just a small lesson. Continue."

Gamora said, "Thanos’s goal isn’t to take the Space Stone. It’s to kill the Super Heroes and cripple Earth’s development."

Everyone was startled. "Kill the Super Heroes and cripple Earth’s development?"

"Yes. Thanos said that the Super Heroes and Earth are developing too quickly. If this continues, they’ll affect his plans, so they must be stopped in advance."

Gamora nodded and said, "Thanos also said this is his mercy. If Earth and the Super Heroes keep developing, then in the end, he’ll have no choice but to blow up Earth."

Tony said firmly. Everyone nodded, and Wang Bert smiled. "Gamora, thank you for the warning. The war will begin soon. Stay and watch the battle with me. Afterward, we’ll talk properly about Thanos."

Gamora wanted to say more, but Wang Bert waved his hand. Groot reappeared, and Rocket dropped from the sky onto the deck with a bang.

"You bastard, how dare you toy with me like that?"

Rocket flew into a rage. He got up, pulled a grenade from inside his pants, and threw it at Wang Bert. Wang Bert casually waved his hand, and the grenade vanished.

Rocket froze, then took a small explosive from his belt. Before he could activate it, it vanished into thin air.

Rocket refused to give up and reached behind his back for an Energy Bomb. Naturally, the Energy Bomb vanished again.

Rocket reached into his waistband, and Tony could not help complaining, "Just how many explosives are you carrying? Also, don’t you think what you’re doing right now is pretty stupid?"

"I am Groot."

Groot covered his eyes, looking like he could not bear to watch. Rocket shouted angrily, "I’m not stupid."

Rocket caught the Vibranium, inspected it several times, and said excitedly, "Deal."

"Good."

Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction. At that moment, Medusa’s voice came through the communicator. "Blood God, the Ravagers are here. Five main ships in total, exactly as the intelligence said."

"As the intelligence said? So they really were ambushing the Ravagers."

Gamora shouted, "Blood God, I still think you should leave with the Space Stone."

"They’re finally here."

Wang Bert ignored Gamora. He said to Steve and Frank, "Commanders, begin issuing orders. From here on, I’ll observe until you ask me for assistance."

Gamora stared in shock. Was he serious? He was not going to act? Without him, how could Earth possibly defeat the Ravagers? "Leave it to us."

Steve and Frank nodded at the same time. Then Steve ordered, "Medusa, send over the Ravagers’ visual feed."

"Alright."

Medusa nodded. Soon, five Ravager main ships appeared on the screen.

"Do the Ravagers specialize in scrapheap mashup style?"

Tony complained. Not only were the five Ravager main ships all different, they were also battered and worn down. One look was enough to tell they were an irregular force.

"That’s how Ravagers are. It’s not like they’re a regular military force."

Rocket said, "But don’t underestimate them. Those main ships carry a large number of Ravager fighters. More importantly, Ravagers are famous for fighting without regard for their lives.

Steve continued, "Tony, lead the Super Heroes team, the Drone Armor, and Gordon into the second main ship. Your objective is to capture that ship. Any problems?"

"No problem. Leave it to me."

Tony nodded with absolute certainty. Thinking of something, he said to Ivan, "Madman, remember to follow orders then. This isn’t the time for jokes."

Ivan sneered. "You think I’m like you, breaking the rules every day?"

"As long as you follow the rules."

Tony snorted. It was rare for the two of them not to argue.

"How are you planning to get in? Fly inside?"

Rocket laughed mockingly, and even Groot shook his head repeatedly.

Steve said, "Korath, you’ll command the Blood God against the third main ship. Frank and I will observe and learn from the side."

Korath said confidently, "No problem. With the power of the Kree… the Blood God, dealing with the Ravagers will be easy."

Steve nodded and continued, "Queen Medusa, Skye, lead the Inhumans team and Tetanus to the fourth main ship. Your objective is also to capture it. Any problems?"

Outside the Solar System, five main ships were speeding toward Earth at full speed. Charlie said with satisfaction, "At our speed, no one can be faster than us. The Space Stone is ours."

"Long live the captain!"

Everyone cheered. A minor leader laughed and said, "When we appear above Earth, those natives will be so scared they’ll kneel, right?"

"Probably. They’re just a bunch of natives."

Another minor leader said, "As long as Asgardian reinforcements don’t arrive, taking the Space Stone will be effortless."

"I think we can start deciding where to celebrate."

Everyone laughed loudly, as if they had already obtained the Space Stone. Winter Soldier watched everything coldly. You trash actually think you can conquer Earth?

There were far too many monsters on Earth.

Charlie glanced at Winter Soldier and asked tentatively, "Winter Soldier, can Asgard’s Bifrost really teleport anywhere at will?"

"Anywhere within the Nine Realms. The Bifrost was instrumental in allowing Asgard to become the ruler of the Nine Realms."

Winter Soldier nodded. Seeing Charlie’s interest, he gave a detailed explanation. Charlie’s eyes flickered. It seemed Winter Soldier really was an Asgardian.

At that moment, a Ravager suddenly shouted, "A huge energy fluctuation is approaching from the left!"

"What?"

Charlie was startled. Before he could react, accompanied by an incomparably terrifying Sonic Wave, the main ship on the left rapidly exploded and shattered, starting from its armor.

A few seconds later, the Ravager main ship had become a pile of space debris. Countless Ravager limbs floated through space, rapidly freezing over.

"How is this possible?"

Not only were Charlie and the other Ravagers dumbfounded, Gamora and the others aboard the Blood God were equally stunned, their jaws nearly dropping.

"It only took one roar to destroy that main ship? Am I seeing this wrong, or am I dreaming?"

Rocket muttered to himself. Groot kindly slapped him, making him understand that he was not dreaming.

"Groot!"

Rocket flew into a rage. If all his weapons had not been confiscated, he would definitely have blasted that bastard.

"Is this Black Bolt really that terrifying?"

Gamora could not help swallowing. It was not like she had never seen powerful people—Thanos himself was god-tier—but she had never seen someone destroy a main ship with a single shout.

Gordon brought Tony, the other Super Heroes, and the Drone Armor into the second Ravager main ship.

Tetanus brought Skye and the other Inhumans into the fourth Ravager main ship.

"Other than the Revenge, all the rest are warships from our Kree Empire."

Inside the second main ship, Tony and the others appeared out of thin air in the warehouse district with Gordon’s help. The surrounding Ravagers froze when they saw them, then screamed in terror, "Enemy attack! Enemy attack…"

Tony shouted, "Form a defensive position! Kill every Ravager in sight!"

"Yes."

Everyone nodded. Dr. Banner transformed into Hulk on the spot and charged at the surrounding Ravagers alongside Human Torch and War Abomination.

Seeing this, the Ravagers immediately pulled out Energy Guns and fired at them.

Human Torch turned into a man of flame and flew past several Ravagers. They instantly became human torches.

Hulk refused to be outdone. He leaped into a group of Ravagers, grabbed one of them as a weapon, and wildly smashed him around. More than ten seconds later, every Ravager in the group lay dead with twisted bodies.

War Abomination wielded a huge axe and hacked wildly in every direction. None of his enemies could withstand a single blow.

"The Ravagers aren’t much after all."

Tony laughed loudly and fired at the Ravagers rushing over for reinforcements alongside the other Super Heroes and Drone Armor. Under their powerful firepower, large numbers of Ravagers died on the spot.

Thing used an Energy Shield to block energy attacks for everyone while asking unhappily, "Why am I the meat shield again?"

"Because you look dependable!"

Dr. Richards laughed as he fired. Thing rolled his eyes and resigned himself to being the meat shield.
