Blood God Takes Action

A Blood Clan member asked curiously, "Does the Progenitor need to pee too?"

"Of course. Whether it’s the Progenitor or the Blood God, they all do."

A group of Blood Clan members chatted quietly, feeling quite pleased with themselves. But as time passed, they gradually realized something was wrong. The Progenitor’s piss break was taking far too long, wasn’t it?

One Blood Clan member guessed, "Could it be because he’d been holding it in for centuries?"

"He hasn’t drunk anything in the past few centuries. Something’s wrong."

The Blood Clan members hurriedly got up and went to check behind the tomb, but Dracula was nowhere to be found. They only discovered a small path leading outside.

The Blood Clan members looked at one another. Following the path out of the mausoleum, they found a few footprints in the sand. Two of them were especially deep, as if someone had forcefully jumped upward—or flown up.

The Blood Clan members were utterly stunned. One of them could not help asking, "Did the Progenitor run away?"

"That makes no sense. Didn’t they say the Progenitor could easily kill the Blood God in seconds? Why would he run?"

The Blood Clan members were completely baffled and close to losing their minds. They had spent so much effort and paid such a heavy price to find Dracula, thinking he could help them deal with the Blood God. Yet he had actually escaped by pretending to pee. What the hell was this? The Blood Clan members were on the verge of collapse! At that moment, Harry, who had flown into the sky, spotted them and asked in shock, "What’s going on? Where’s Dracula?"

A Blood Clan member pointed at the footprints ahead and said, "Dracula ran away."

"What?"

Harry nearly fell out of the sky. Dracula, in whom they had placed such high hopes, had actually run away? What kind of joke was this?

Hadn’t Mephisto said Dracula could kill the Blood God in seconds? "Chase him. We have to find Dracula."

Harry gritted his teeth and rapidly chased after the footprints. The Blood Clan members exchanged glances, then all followed. No matter what, they had to find Dracula and get an explanation.

"Chase them."

Seeing this, Electro immediately led Spider-Man and the others after them.

Before long, they found Dracula—and the Blood God as well.

Looking at the Blood God, who stood there quietly yet seemed incomparably towering, the Blood Clan members’ legs went limp. They collapsed helplessly to the ground, their hearts filled with terror.

Wang Bert ignored the Blood Clan members and asked Dracula, "Progenitor of the Blood Clan, Dracula?"

Dracula asked in return, "Blood God, Wang Bert?"

Wang Bert smiled. "That’s right. I finally found you. Once I consume your blood, I’ll have no more weaknesses."

"You deliberately let those idiots find me?"

Dracula understood at once. He cursed furiously inside. Those bastards really had come to screw him over.

Wang Bert nodded. "Yes. Dracula, just one portion of your blood made me the Blood God. I wonder what will happen if I drain all your blood?"

Dracula said, "Nothing will happen. The reason you became the Blood God wasn’t my blood, but the concept I placed inside the Blood God Altar."

Wang Bert was taken aback. "A concept? What’s that?"

At that moment, Harry shouted, "Dracula, quickly take back the Blood God’s blood! Then you can kill him in seconds."

"If that method worked, do you think I wouldn’t have used it?"

Dracula turned back and looked at him with utter contempt. "That bastard has been in the Mirror Dimension from the beginning. How the hell am I supposed to take back anything?"

"The Mirror Dimension?"

Harry was completely confused and had no idea what that was. Wang Bert, however, asked curiously, "You actually know about the Mirror Dimension?"

"Of course I know."

Dracula snorted. "I lived in Kamar-Taj for a hundred years. What spell from Kamar-Taj haven’t I seen?"

"You lived in Kamar-Taj for a hundred years?"

Wang Bert was astonished. He asked, "What’s your relationship with Master Ancient One?"

"The relationship between cannon fodder and its master."

Dracula said, "Several centuries ago, Ancient One swept across the world. The Demon Gods either got the hell out or were blasted to death by her. For the survival of the Blood Clan, I forced myself to go to Kamar-Taj and beg her to show mercy and spare the Blood Clan."

Wang Bert was genuinely surprised. "That was why you went to Kamar-Taj?"

"Yes. That woman Ancient One was ruthless. The moment she saw me, she slapped me to death. But she hadn’t expected me to be immortal, so I revived immediately. Then she backhanded me and slapped me to death again…"

Dracula said, "It kept repeating like that. She killed me over a hundred times using all kinds of methods before she finally stopped after confirming she couldn’t kill me for good.

Then I explained why I had come. She agreed to spare the Blood Clan, but on one condition: I had to serve Kamar-Taj for a hundred years.

I agreed. I thought it would just involve some fighting and killing, but who knew that woman Ancient One was insanely ruthless? She directly treated me like cannon fodder.

Life Curse, I took it. Great Disintegration Ray, I took it. Death Finger, I took that too. Doomsday Forbidden Spell, still me. Demon God explosions, without a doubt, still me…

Do you know how many times I died during those hundred years at Kamar-Taj? I’ll tell you: at least ten thousand times. I tried every possible way to die. By the end, I was numb. I even dug a hole and buried myself, but Ancient One dug me out the next day and made me cannon fodder again."

Dracula sighed repeatedly. His entire being seemed incomparably desolate, as though he had turned gray.

Everyone present fell silent. Dracula really was miserable. He had died tens of thousands of times. If it had been them, they would have broken down long ago.

Wang Bert wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. Had Master really been that brutal back then?

Wang Bert secretly sighed. It seems the Blood River ability isn’t reliable enough. If I encounter someone stronger than me, even if I can’t die, I’ll only end up as miserable as Dracula.

"You think that’s the end? Let me tell you, there’s no such thing as the unluckiest—only worse luck."

Dracula sighed again and continued, "After the hundred years finally ended, Ancient One kept her promise and let me leave Kamar-Taj. Then my daughter actually said I had abandoned the Blood Clan and wanted to cut off all ties with me.

I abandoned the Blood Clan? If I had abandoned them, the Blood Clan would have been wiped out by Ancient One long ago, all right? I paid such a huge price, only to be misunderstood by my daughter. Heartbroken, I ran to the Egyptian Desert, found a random mausoleum, and went to sleep to heal my wounded heart.

Who would have thought that after only sleeping for a few centuries, a bunch of bastards would come dig up my grave and ask me to deal with the Blood God? Come on, was the Blood God someone I could handle? I couldn’t even keep up with his speed, all right? Not to mention he also had Dragon Fire and magic! What else could I do? Of course I ran away. And now it turns out everything was a trap—a trap to hunt me down."

At this point, Dracula laughed, but the laughter was incomparably bleak and heartbreaking.

The Blood Clan members who had been furious before all calmed down. Compared to Dracula, what did their suffering even amount to? Wang Bert rubbed his brow. He found himself feeling a little embarrassed about attacking Dracula.

This old man was just too unlucky.

Thinking of something, Harry took a dagger from his clothes and shouted at Dracula, "Dracula, don’t worry. I have the Space-Breaking Dagger Mephisto gave me. It can break open space. Let’s kill the Blood God together."

"Kill my ass. Get lost. I surrender. Go kill him yourself if you want."

Dracula cursed loudly. He had worked so hard to create such a tragic atmosphere that the Blood God would be too embarrassed to attack him, and this idiot was shouting nonsense? If he angered the Blood God, could he stop him? Harry stared in disbelief. He had never imagined things would turn out like this. Not only him—the Hell Lords watching in secret were equally dumbfounded. Hadn’t Dracula been supposed to easily kill the Blood God in seconds?

The Hell Lords roared, "Mephisto, this is your plan?"

"I didn’t expect Dracula to be such a coward. Ancient One must have scared him senseless."

Mephisto was also extremely frustrated. He said, "Don’t worry. I still have another move."

As soon as he finished speaking, Mephisto willed it, and the Long-and-Short-Legged Spider on Harry’s back suddenly came alive, crazily draining Harry’s power.

"Aah!" Harry let out a shrill scream, reverted to human form in midair, and fell toward the ground. Then his body visibly shriveled at an alarming speed, even his hair rapidly turning white.

"Harry!"

Spider-Man was horrified and wanted to check on Harry, but Electro pulled him back. The situation was unclear. They should not act rashly.

Very quickly, Harry became like a dried corpse, while the Long-and-Short-Legged Spider radiated dense demonic energy and looked utterly terrifying.

Then the spider picked up the dagger and transformed into a streak of Black Light as it flew toward Dracula. At the same time, Mephisto’s voice sounded from its mouth. "Hahaha, Blood God, did you think I hadn’t accounted for this? Let me tell you, all I wanted was for Dracula to show himself… Huh? A Space Maze?"

Mephisto had been gloating when he discovered that no matter how he flew, he could not reach Dracula. To outsiders, it looked as if he had been circling around Dracula the entire time.

"No matter how I fly, I can’t get out. What a colorful world—I’m just a drunken spider…"

Wang Bert sang with a look of contempt. "Mephisto, did you think I hadn’t accounted for this?"

Mephisto gritted his teeth. "Blood God!"

"Idiot. The Blood God set up a Space Maze around me from the beginning. Otherwise, why do you think I didn’t dare resist?"

Dracula said disdainfully, "This guy’s spatial magic is exceptionally brilliant."

"Shut up! Blood God, do you think this can trap me?"

Mephisto roared and swung the Space-Breaking Dagger, tearing open space. But to his shock, behind the Space Maze was another Space Maze. He was trapped again.

As for the Space-Breaking Dagger, after being used once, it had already dissipated into the air.

Dracula looked even more contemptuous. "I told you, you’re an idiot. That guy set up eighteen Space Mazes around me. Unless he allows it, no one can get near me."

"Blood God!"

Mephisto was losing his mind. The Blood God was not only growing stronger, but rapidly improving in wisdom and experience as well.

At this rate, he really would become the next Ancient One.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man disregarded everything and ran to Harry’s side. Harry was so weak he had only one last breath left. He gave Spider-Man a miserable smile. "Making a deal with the devil really has no good ending. Peter, I’m sorry."

"Harry, don’t say that. Right, maybe my blood can help you."

Spider-Man was frantic. Then he thought of something, hurriedly cut open his wrist, and fed his blood to Harry. Harry was both grateful and ashamed. He knew exactly how much Peter valued his blood.

Leaving aside Spider-Man and Harry, those two best friends, Wang Bert looked at the spider inside the Space Maze and lightly clenched his right hand. The Space Maze crazily compressed around the spider. The spider let out a shrill scream and was nearly squeezed into a pulp.

"Dracula, I know you still have a trump card. Come merge with me."

Mephisto shouted, "If you and I team up, killing the Blood God will be as easy as turning over a hand."

Wang Bert snorted and increased the pressure. First it was killing him in seconds, and now it was as easy as turning over a hand. What did they take him for? Didn’t he have any pride?

If he did not teach Mephisto a proper lesson this time, how could he continue calling himself the Blood God?

Dracula said with utter contempt, "Mephisto, do you think I’m as stupid as you? How could the Blood God be as easy to kill as you say?"

As Mephisto struggled to resist the crushing space, he shouted, "His blood came from you. I can use your bloodline to cast a curse. No matter how strong the Blood God is, he’ll be dead for sure."

Dracula snorted. "Don’t think I know nothing about curses. A curse like that would definitely require my life as the price."

Mephisto angrily said, "What are you afraid of? You won’t really die."

"I might not truly die, but that doesn’t mean I want to die. I’ve already died more than ten thousand times. I don’t want to die even once more."

Dracula said, "Mephisto, go somewhere cool and stay there. Don’t interfere with my surrender. You’ve ruined the whole atmosphere."

Everyone present was speechless. Just how cowardly was Dracula?

Wang Bert frowned slightly. With Dracula acting like this, he really felt too embarrassed to kill him, especially since Dracula had rendered great service to the Blood Clan.

Wang Bert said, "Um, Dracula, why don’t you give it a try? Maybe you really can kill me?"

Everyone was even more speechless. This was too bizarre. He was actually urging someone else to kill him? "No. Absolutely not. I surrender. I surrender unconditionally."

Dracula shook his head repeatedly. Did he think Dracula did not know what he was planning? Hmph, he was not that stupid.

Today, even if the Jade Emperor himself came, Dracula would still surrender.

Mephisto was about to go insane. "Why are there so many weirdos in your Blood Clan?"

"As if Hell has any fewer weirdos? Wait, since when am I a weirdo?"

Wang Bert snorted and exerted force. The spider exploded directly, leaving behind only a mass of blood and a black Crystal floating in the air. Then Mephisto’s voice came from the blood. "Blood God, you won this time, but I’ll be back."

"What are you, the Terminator? Coming back every day?"

Wang Bert sneered. "Mephisto, today, I’m going to leave you with a memory you’ll never forget for the rest of your life."

Mephisto said disdainfully, "Just you?"

"No, me too!"

A phantom appeared out of thin air. It was Hell’s prince, Blackheart. Looking at the mass of blood, he said excitedly, "Mephisto, so you have a day like this too."

"Blackheart?"

Mephisto froze, then angrily said, "You unfilial son, are you screwing over your father again?"

"So what if I am? A son screwing over his father is only natural."

Blackheart snorted. He opened his mouth, and a mass of origin blood mixed with runes flew out and merged with Mephisto’s blood.

"You’re going to use bloodline to curse me?"

Mephisto was furious. This was karmic retribution. He shouted toward the sky, "Ancient One, your disciple is colluding with Hell Demons. Aren’t you going to do anything?"

Ancient One’s calm voice rang out. "I’ve colluded with them too. Is there a problem?"

Everyone fell silent. That answer was excellent. Powerful, even.
