Plan, Dracula
Hearing Raina’s words, Jiaying smiled. "Maximus would definitely be willing to have your support."
"No, Maximus is not the king of the Inhumans."
Raina shook her head. Jiaying was stunned and asked, "Don’t tell me you want to support Black Bolt?"
"No, Black Bolt is not the king of the Inhumans either."
Raina shook her head and said fervently, "There is only one king of the Inhumans. Though she is not an Inhuman yet, she will eventually become king."
"Not an Inhuman yet?"
Jiaying frowned and asked, "Raina, who is the true king of the Inhumans?"
Raina kept her in suspense. "You’ll find out soon enough."
"Then we’ll talk about it later."
Jiaying glanced at Raina and asked, "Raina, what do the humans plan to do next?"
"They want to capture Gordon."
Raina said, "Tony Stark’s Quantum Interferometer will be completed in three days."
"A Quantum Interferometer? These scientists are such a nuisance."
Jiaying thought for a moment and said, "Raina, go back and rest first. If you sense any new future, tell me immediately."
"Yes."
Raina nodded. Thinking of something, she smiled and said, "Oh, right. Your daughter’s power is extremely strong."
Jiaying asked delightedly, "Really?"
"Really. And she won’t become a monster like me."
Raina smiled, turned, and left. Jiaying stood where she was, looking somewhat dazed, but after a moment, her usual coldness returned.
Once, her daughter had been the treasure she cared about most. Unfortunately, that was no longer the case.
Jiaying let out a breath, took out her communicator, and contacted Maximus. After hearing what she had to say, Maximus roared in disbelief, "Impossible! Oran and the others are the finest Inhuman nobles. How could they have failed? And surrendered to the enemy?"
"The facts are right in front of us, Your Majesty. I told you, the Blood God is very powerful—perhaps even stronger than Black Bolt."
Jiaying said, "Do not act rashly again. I will find a way to deal with him."
Maximus snorted. "If I can’t do it, what can you possibly do?"
"That remains to be seen. There is an old saying in the East: know yourself and know your enemy, and you will win every battle."
Jiaying said, "The Blood God is strong, but he has a fatal weakness: he likes women too much. We can use a beautiful woman to assassinate him.
"The only problem is that I lack a means to kill him in one blow. The Blood God will not be easy to kill."
"You may not have one, but I do."
Maximus was overjoyed. "There is an Inhuman in Attilan who can secrete a lethal venom. It kills at the sight of blood, and there is no cure. Even beasts from the stars cannot withstand it."
Jiaying brightened. "Really? The Blood God is no ordinary powerhouse."
"Of course it’s true. If you’re worried, we can further refine the venom."
Maximus said, "However, that Inhuman is very ugly and cannot act personally."
Jiaying’s eyes flickered. "No problem. We already have someone beside the Blood God."
"Good. I’ll prepare the venom and concealed weapon as quickly as possible and send them to you. The moment you receive them, act."
Maximus said, "The Blood God must die. Otherwise, our great plan cannot possibly succeed."
"I know."
Jiaying nodded. Thinking of something, she asked, "By the way, does Oran know about your plan?"
"Don’t worry, she doesn’t. Only the Kree Fleet and I know the details of this plan."
Maximus said, "Even you only know that such a plan exists."
"That’s good."
Jiaying nodded. Once Maximus cut off the communication, she summoned Gordon and said, "It’s time for me to meet Skye."
Gordon said, "Jiaying, isn’t meeting her now too dangerous? Wouldn’t a video call be better?"
"A video call would not show enough sincerity. Their Quantum Interferometer isn’t complete yet, so there should be no problem."
Jiaying said, "When Skye goes out, take her to Australia to see me."
"Alright. I’ll make several more jumps when the time comes."
Gordon nodded. After hesitating, he said, "Jiaying, should we choose someone else? Whether the assassination of the Blood God succeeds or fails, Skye could die."
"She is the best choice. The Blood God will not suspect her. He would be wary of anyone else."
Jiaying said, "It is her responsibility. Every Inhuman should be willing to sacrifice themselves for the Inhumans."
"Alright."
Gordon sighed and turned to leave.
In the villa, Skye, who had just returned, snapped at Wang Bert, "Did you know all along that the world’s most wanted criminal was my mother?"
The world’s most wanted criminal Skye referred to was Jiaying—she had wanted to enslave all humanity and even called humans unevolved gorillas.
Wang Bert asked lazily, "You met her?"
"When I went out to buy crabs, Gordon suddenly appeared and took me to an unknown place."
Skye nodded. "Then the world’s most wanted criminal came out and said she was my mother. Honestly, I didn’t believe it at first, and I didn’t want to believe it.
"Later, she told me a lot—how we had gotten separated, how humans had treated her, and even my real name, Daisy Johnson.
"Though I don’t want to admit it, she should be my mother. Mr. Wang, my mind is a mess right now."
Wang Bert poured Skye a drink and shook his head. "You cannot choose your parents. At the very least, you’re no longer an orphan."
"Finding my family was my greatest dream, but I’m not happy at all now."
Skye took a gloomy sip of her drink and said, "Mr. Wang, can you help me find someone?"
Wang Bert asked, "Whitehall?"
"How did you know?"
Skye gritted her teeth. "He was the one who dissected Jiaying. If it weren’t for him, our family would never have been separated, and Jiaying would never have become what she is now."
"Whitehall was killed by Ghost Rider."
Wang Bert briefly explained what had happened. Skye said bitterly, "Serves him right. He got off too easy."
"He certainly deserved it."
Wang Bert asked, "Jiaying sought you out at a time like this. She must have something she wants you to do, right?"
Skye said gloomily, "She does. She wants me to seduce you."
Wang Bert laughed. "Seduce me? Am I really that indiscriminate?"
"What did you say?"
Skye glared at Wang Bert. He waved his hand and said, "You definitely didn’t agree."
"Of course I didn’t."
Skye snorted. "I even had a huge fight with her over it. We parted on bad terms."
Thinking of something, Skye said with some disappointment, "This isn’t how I imagined reuniting with family."
Wang Bert rubbed his chin. "I think it would be better if you agreed to Jiaying’s request."
"What?"
Skye froze, then hugged a pillow defensively. "Are you finally going to make a move on me?"
Wang Bert asked suspiciously, "Why do I get the feeling you’re a little excited?"
"How could I be?"
Skye guiltily looked away. It was not that she liked Wang Bert; it was just that he chased women every day yet had never shown the slightest interest in her, which annoyed her greatly. Now that Wang Bert had finally started eyeing her, she naturally felt a little excited.
Wang Bert said, "I have no interest in making a move on you. I want you to agree to Jiaying for serious business."
Skye was visibly disappointed. "Serious business?"
"And you said you weren’t excited?"
Wang Bert teased, "If you really are interested in me, I can take a little loss and satisfy you. With my current physique, I should be able to handle it."
"Get lost."
Skye hurled the pillow at Wang Bert. He casually caught it and continued, "Back to business. I’m not asking you to agree to Jiaying right away. Instead, gradually soften your stance. That way, Jiaying will keep trying to persuade you."
"Keep trying to persuade me?"
Skye blinked and asked, "You want to lure her out?"
"Exactly."
Wang Bert nodded. "Also, although Tony can develop the Quantum Interferometer, that guy is born with a knack for getting humiliated. I don’t think his plan will necessarily succeed, so we need a backup plan."
"If Mr. Stark hears you say that, he’ll kill you."
Skye complained. Wang Bert said, "You’ll understand in the future. That guy is destined to get humiliated. Just like his suits—whichever one is designed against someone ends up getting dismantled by that person."
"Really?"
Skye looked deeply skeptical. "What do you want me to do?"
Wang Bert said, "If I’m not mistaken, Jiaying wants you to seduce me so that you can kill me."
Skye frowned. "Kill you? How could I possibly kill you?"
"Of course you can’t kill me."
Wang Bert smiled. "But I’ll pretend that you killed me. Then the No-Eyed People will definitely take you away and return to the Inhuman settlement."
Skye’s eyes lit up. "Then, as long as we do something to me, we’ll be able to find out exactly where that settlement is."
"Right."
Wang Bert said, "If Tony fails, we’ll use this plan."
"Alright."
Skye did not object. After hesitating for a moment, she asked, "Mr. Wang, can you not kill Jiaying? She’s actually rather pitiful too."
Wang Bert said, "I won’t kill her, but she will definitely have to go to prison."
"That’s enough."
Skye breathed a sigh of relief. Just then, Wang Bert’s phone suddenly rang. He glanced at the message on it and said excitedly, "We finally found him."
Skye asked, "Mr. Wang, what did you find?"
"A deadly hidden danger."
Wang Bert did not say more. He got up, opened a portal, and left. Skye leaned over to look and saw that the other side was actually a desert.
"We found him at last. We finally found Dracula."
In a desert in Egypt, a group of ragged Blood Clan members wept with joy inside a tomb. After so much effort and so many deaths, they had finally found Dracula, progenitor of the Blood Clan.
Harry looked at the ancient stone coffin ahead and asked skeptically, "Is it really here? Could you be mistaken? You vampires have always loved luxury, yet this place is so bare there isn’t even a single burial object."
One of the Blood Clan members said, "That’s right. We can sense it. Dracula is inside the stone coffin. As for why it is so simple, we don’t know either."
"As long as it’s Dracula. Wake him quickly. The pursuers might be here any moment."
"Right away."
The Blood Clan members wasted no time. They slit their wrists and let their blood spill over the stone coffin.
The moment the blood landed on the coffin, it vanished without leaving any trace. The Blood Clan members knew that Dracula was drinking their blood to awaken, and they grew even more excited. They could finally take revenge.
Just then, the vampire keeping watch outside suddenly shouted, "The pursuers are here! It’s Electro and the others!"
"Damn it! I’ll hold them off. Wake Dracula quickly."
Harry cursed and led the reinforcements from Hell out to intercept Electro and the others.
Under the moonlight, Spider-Man tirelessly called out to Harry, "Harry, if you don’t turn back now, it really will be too late."
"Are you ever going to shut up? You say that every time you show up."
Harry said impatiently, "Spider-Man, I advise you to get lost now. Otherwise, you won’t even get the chance to run later."
"Who are you trying to scare? Harry Osborn, die!"
Electro snorted and raised a hand, firing a bolt of electricity at Harry. Harry leaped high into the air, transforming into the eight-legged humanoid Spider King, then opened his mouth and spat venom at Electro and Spider-Man.
"Harry, you never used to spit everywhere."
Spider-Man sighed and fought Harry once again.
Seeing this, the mercenaries raised their guns and sprayed the reinforcements from Hell with bullets. The Hellish reinforcements immediately ducked behind the sand dunes and returned fire. A fierce battle erupted once more.
"Faster, faster…"
Inside the tomb, the Blood Clan members prayed continuously. At that moment, their blood suddenly stopped flowing. The Blood Clan members rejoiced and fell to their knees before the stone coffin.
The stone coffin suddenly rose upright. Then its lid opened, and an ancient, decayed, low voice sounded. "Why have you awakened me?"
The Blood Clan members bowed deeply. "Great Dracula, progenitor of the Blood Clan, please save your people."
"Save you?"
Dracula froze, then cursed furiously, "Didn’t Ancient One promise not to kill you? Did that old woman who can’t get married break her word?"
The Blood Clan members were stunned. What did this have to do with Ancient One? The Progenitor truly is impressive—he even dares to call Ancient One unmarriageable.
One Blood Clan member felt greatly reassured and said to Dracula, "Progenitor, this has nothing to do with the Sorcerer Supreme. A traitor emerged among the Blood Clan, and he helped humans massacre us."
"So it is merely a traitor from the Blood Clan."
Dracula, a middle-aged man dressed like a classic vampire, floated out of the coffin and said arrogantly, "A trivial matter. Tell me about him."
The Blood Clan member said, "Yes. His name is the Blood God…"
Dracula said unhappily, "Blood God? What audacity, calling himself a god. Does he have no respect for me?"
The Blood Clan members nodded repeatedly. "Exactly. That man has no understanding of rank or respect. Progenitor, you must destroy him."
Dracula snorted. "Do you need to tell me that? Continue."
"Yes, Progenitor."
The Blood Clan members explained Wang Bert’s information in exhaustive detail and even showed Dracula videos of him.
"Damn, is this guy even a vampire? How is he this fierce?"
Dracula, who had not cared much before, nearly had his eyes pop out when he saw footage of Wang Bert slaughtering enemies in every direction. The younger generation was far too brutal. The Blood Clan members did not notice Dracula’s expression change. One of them added, "Oh, right. We heard that the Blood God has some connection to Kamar-Taj and knows some magic."
"He knows magic too? Damn it, did you bastards come here specifically to screw me over?"
Dracula secretly swallowed, then said with disdain, "I can enter and leave Kamar-Taj freely. What is a little magic to me? Wait here. I’m going behind the tomb to take a piss."
"Yes, Progenitor."
The vampires were overjoyed and respectfully saw Dracula off to relieve himself.
