First, let me talk about a few issues encountered during the writing process.

Things like researching flintlock pistols across two lifetimes in ancient times and advancing technology being too outrageous, or why firearms cannot be used in the Cultivation World.

Many readers are hung up on these issues, which I did not anticipate.

I wonder how many years you all have been reading. In my memory, over a decade ago, there were plenty of Transmigration novels about advancing technology and conquering the world. No one said they were unreasonable. I just omitted the corresponding processes.

As for why firearms cannot be used in the Cultivation World, I think every cultivation novel can pose this Soul-searching question.

Why? Because I am writing a cultivation novel. That is my setting. If technological weapons could really be used in the Cultivation World, then Li Fan would keep reincarnating, build an iron tide, and overthrow the Cultivation World. That would be a different story.

There are many such minor issues. Perhaps it is because I did not think thoroughly enough. I never expected that readers today could be so argumentative.

However, overall, these are not major problems.

What truly has a fatal impact on the structure of this book is that the process from Li Fan's first arrival in the Cultivation World to discovering the changes in the Congyun Sea was too short and too rushed.

My original outline was like this:

Li Fan goes through great hardships to reach Liuli Island, and after immense effort, joins a fleet.

Then he engages in a battle of wits with Zhang Haobo, relying on the treasure he sank into the seawater earlier to seize the captain's position.

Afterward, he washes off the Immortal-Mortal Miasma in a spirit pool, and a few years later, arrives at Ten Thousand Immortals Island.

On the island, he completes tasks for a while, finally accumulates enough Contribution Points, and exchanges for a water-attributed Cultivation Technique.

He thought the path of cultivation would be smooth from then on, but within a few years, he discovered that water-attributed Spiritual Qi in the world was becoming increasingly scarce.

His cultivation speed grew slower and slower.

Meanwhile, the entire Congyun Sea was sealed off, allowing entry but no exit.

Panic spread among the Cultivators, and killing gradually began.

Li Fan had no choice but to flee Ten Thousand Immortals Island and hide on a remote island.

Later, as the seawater dried up, revealing the seabed, Li Fan suddenly realized the reason for the differences he saw between his two lifetimes.

Originally, I planned to write at least over a hundred chapters for this part.

Like the first volume of Lord of the Mysteries, I would lay enough groundwork before revealing the twist.

But I had to change my mind midway.

Because you may not know that when this book reached 100,000 words, it only had over a hundred collections.

It couldn't even get a trial promotion.

If I had followed the original outline, it would have been a dead end.

So I had to speed up the pace, completing the twist in just over forty chapters.

After that, although the results started to improve, something still felt lacking.

As I said, it was too rushed, too hasty.

It inevitably created many flaws, such as the underwater treasure being too new, not at all like a sea treasure.

But I could only try to patch things up.

The second issue is that the Profound Yellow Heart Refining Mantra reduced the cooldown time of [Huan Zhen] too much. When I set it, due to lack of experience, I directly reduced it by eleven years.

This also forced me to fill those eleven years before continuing the plot of the previous life.

This also caused the problem of slow pacing that many readers complained about.

Because I am not just writing about this life; I also need to lay the groundwork for the next life's plot development.

These two issues are what I consider to have had a significant impact on the structure of this book.

The rest are just minor details with little effect.

Now let me talk about a few issues that readers have frequently mentioned.

1. The protagonist's cultivation level increases too slowly.

This book is not a traditional level-up and monster-killing story. Moreover, the protagonist Cultivates the Hundred Lifetimes Technique, so rapid cultivation in one life is of little use to him.

2. The protagonist's cheat is too overpowered.

I ask only one question: with the current skill set, if his Realm were raised to the Longevity Realm, would he be a match for the Celestial Venerable of Dharma Transmission?

Even the Dao you Cultivate was left for you by someone else. How can you fight?

So the cheat is not big enough; it needs to be even bigger.

3. The Foundation Establishment issue with [Huan Zhen].

[Huan Zhen] exists beyond the world and involves the Law of Time, so it certainly cannot be used for Foundation Establishment in the early stages.

As for how the protagonist will use [Huan Zhen] for Foundation Establishment, please stay tuned.
